Stop The Triforce Rumors There have been a lot of rumors and fake pictures on the internet saying that it is possible to find the triforce in Zelda 64. This editorial is going to prove all of those rumors false. First of all, if Link were able to obtain the triforce in Zelda 64, it would completely mess up the storyline of the entire Legend of Zelda series. Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the first game in the series, and tells the story of how Ganon obtains the triforce, and is able to torment Link and Zelda in all the future games. If Link obtained the triforce, how would Ganon have ever taken it without killing Link? Without the triforce, Ganon wouldn't even be close to as powerful as he is. Second, some people are saying that Nintendo has a conspiracy to cover up the triforce's existence from everybody so that they can reveal its existence later to keep interest in Zelda. This is completely untrue. Zelda is the best game ever made, and Nintendo wouldn't need a gimmick like this to keep interest in it. Besides, if the point is to keep interest in Zelda, if they're revealing the triforce well after the game has been released, that means millions of people would have already bought the game, so they wouldn't really make any extra money from this. Some people might say it would bring a greater fan base for the next Zelda game, but since Zelda is the best series Nintendo has ever made, just saying a new Zelda game is in the works will automatically sell millions of copies of it. Next, have you taken the time to read all of the rumors? Every single one of them gives some complex series of steps, with some step in there saying something like "I'm not going to tell you where, but so and so gives you the song of the sages which takes you to the Temple of Light." If someone really had discovered how to get the triforce, they wouldn't be writing stuff like that. They would have real screenshots (all of the existing ones have easily been proven fakes), and a very detailed set of steps to do it without any missing steps that they're not going to tell you. |
