???Event that happens when you connect both Oracle games where you have to fight Ganon. After the battle the time line becomes one???

Okay guys you know the drill, this isn’t written in concrete and everyone has a right to their own opinion, and hey even opinions can change with time. This is simply a little something to update the article section of Ganon’s Tower. With time and maybe feedback this time line could change.

Based on what I believe to be the order of the games for now, I have listed chronological events using the games and side-stories given in the games. Underline events are the actual game itself, the rest will be legends or side-stories mentioned throughout the LOZ series. The games are described briefly since some of them are very long.

Just to let you know there could be a debate on where AOL falls in the time line since the story in the Japanese game and north American game slightly differ. In the north American version the sleeping Zelda is the same one as in LOZ, and in the Japanese game the sleeping Zelda is an entirely different Zelda from the LOZ one. Personally I’m sticking with the Japanese version since it’s the original.

Oh and in case you haven’t realized there was going to be spoilers for all the games, then I would suggest you don’t read this unless you have played all the games or you already know all of the storylines.

The Creation Of Hyrule

Before life began, before the world had form, three golden goddesses descended upon the chaotic land of Hyrule. They were Din, the goddess of Power, Nayru, the goddess of Wisdom, and Farore, the goddess of Courage. Din, with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land to create the earth. Nayru poured her wisdom onto the earth to give the spirit of law to the world. Farore's rich soul created all life forms who would uphold the law. These three great goddesses returned to the heavens, leaving behind the golden sacred Triforce. Since then, the Triforce has become the basis for Hyrule's providence. Where the Triforce stood it became sacred land.

Gustave and the Picori

The Triforce being a magical object that could grant anyone's wishes, was of course something everyone wanted. Searches were made for this sacred ground now known  as the Sacred Realm or the Golden Land. Wars eventually broke out in Hyrule. It was during this time that the Picori forged the legendary Picori Blade and gave it to a young hylian lad garbed in green, Gustave. With this blade Gustave was able to drive away from Hyrule the evil seeking the Triforce. Green became the official color for heroes of Hyrule in memory of Gustave. The Picori after this event came to visit Hyrule every one hundred years to honour their alliance to Hyrule and to give the people magical gifts. In return the hylians celebrated the return of the Picori with the Picori Festival. A sword fighting tournament is held and the winner gets to touch the Picori Blade.

I read somewhere that Gustave eventually becomes King Of Hyrule.

The Creation Of Majora's Mask

Possibly created by the Dark Tribe, a group of Hylians that joined together to study the dark arts of black magic. They used  the mask in their casting of dark spells, hexes, and curses. A powerful artifact that might lead them to conquering lands or so they hoped. After all the mask does look close enough to the top part of the fused shadows (the hat that Midna wears in Twilight Princess). If the mask is different from the fused shadows at least we can say it was made by the same tribe because of the similarities.

The Creation Of The Fused Shadow

With the success Majora’s Mask was giving the Dark Tribe, they believed they were powerful enough to conquer the Sacred Realm/Golden Land. Inspired by Majora’s Mask the Dark Tribe created a helmet using the same motifs as the mask. Notes: Which would explain why Midna’s helmet looks like the mask as some people have pointed out. The Dark Tribe then proceeded using shadow magic to create three armour-like pieces to protect the wearer of the helmet and also to enhance their magical abilities. When they were done, the Dark Tribe called their new creation “The Fused Shadows”

The Creation Of The Twili And the Mirror Of Twilight

Once the Dark Tribe mastered using the Fused Shadows they proceeded with their plans of invading the Sacred Realm/Golden Land. As punishment for invading their sacred land, the Goddesses held them prisoners for they feared that they would next invade Hyrule. Due to the nature of the Dark Tribe and the evilness of Ganondorf's spirit already trapped in this parallel world from Ocarina Of Time the Sacred Realm/Golden Land turned into a land of fading light. The Realm became know as the Twilight Realm. The Goddesses wept seeing what was happening to one of the lands they had created, but were happy to know that they had saved their Hyrule from being trampled by evil. The Goddesses then created the Mirror of Twilight so the Hylians could keep an eye on what was going on in the Twilight Realm.

The First Zelda

At some point in time a nameless king who had one son and a daughter named Zelda, came to have in his possession the Triforce. Before his death he hid the Triforce Of Courage, knowing the dangers of what could happen if the complete Triforce should fall in the wrong hands. He told only his daughter where he hid it.

The son inherited the other two parts of the Triforce, and eventually heard from a wizard that Zelda knew where the last part was. With the aid of the same wizard he threatened his sister to tell her where the missing Triforce part was. She wouldn't say and the wizard threatened to cast a spell on her where she would fall in a deep sleep for eternity. Still the princess refused to talk and the wizard casted the spell.

The prince realizing his foolishness and guilty for his sister's fate locked her in a room in the North Castle, a small fortress in the northern part of Hyrule, in hope that someone one day could break the spell and revive his sister. To remember this event he ordered that every first born female in the Royal family of Hyrule should be named Zelda.

Ezlo And His Apprentice

Ezlo, a renowned Picori Sage, takes on an apprentice named Vaati. Ezlo creates a magical hat that is to be given to the hylians in the upcoming Picori Festival.

It is said that the madness and egotism of men influenced Vaati to become corrupt and hungry for power. Vaati steals the magical hat and turns against his master, turning him into a hat.

The evil influence on the little Picori eventually transforms him into a vile form, and he starts calling himself the Wind Sorcerer. Vaati then starts to hunt for more power. His hunger for power leads him to the search for the mystic light force of Hyrule.

The Minish Cap ( The first Link to be mentioned and I’ll say the second Zelda to avoid confusions)

Vaati’s hunt leads him to the Picori Festival, where he discovers that the mystic light force is contained within the spirit of Hyrule’s current Princess, Zelda. Vaati enters the tournament and is declared the champion. Being the champion he is granted the privilege of touching the legendary sword, the Picori Blade. However with his touch he breaks the blade, and then proceeds to cast a spell that turns Princess Zelda to stone until he can figure out how to extract the light force from her. (I haven’t played the game but I’m assuming that the light force could have been mistaken with a Triforce piece, possibly the Triforce of Wisdom. Or that Nayru simply regarded Zelda as her mortal equivalence and took Zelda on as her protégé, without Zelda even knowing it. Notes: Legends and folklore was handed down by word of mouth so things are a bit unclear. And we all know how the telephone game ends up.

Link, the grandson of the royal blacksmith, is sent on a quest to find the Picori to ask them to restore the legendary sword and to break the curse that has been placed on Zelda. On his way to the Minish Woods, the boy stumbles on a strange bird-like hat that can talk. The hat presents himself as Ezlo, and asks Link if he can join. Ezlo then settles himself on Link’s head, and through out Link’s quest he gives him advice.

Once Link finds the Minish, he is told he must find four elemental artifacts if the sword is to be forged anew. Once he finds them and the sword is one again, Link sets off for Hyrule Castle. Link finds Vaati right before he is about to drain Zelda of her light force, thus killing her. Link fights him and Vaati is defeated. Zelda’s curse is broken and she and Link try to flee the crumbling castle. To escape from being crushed they end up taking refuge in the Elemental Shrine. There they come face to face with Vaati, who hasn’t given up yet.

Link defeats him one more time. Confused, the Wind Sorcerer wonders how Link could have won since he claims he has the power of a god (the Triforce of Power?).

With Vaati’s defeat Ezlo is returned to his normal Picori form. He gives the magical cap Vaati had stolen to Zelda, who uses it to restore the castle. Before Ezlo leaves he gives Link a cap saying that it suits him.

From then on the green cap and green tunic are recognized as Hyrule’s hero’s clothes.

Ocarina Of Time (The second Link mentioned and Zelda the third)

A young Kokiri boy named Link dreams of standing in front of Hyrule Castle on a stormy night. He sees a young girl and a woman on horseback being pursued by an evil looking man. When he wakes up a fairy named Navi informs him that he has been summoned by the spirit of the forest, the Deku Tree.

The Deku Tree explains to Link that it has been cursed and asks Link for help. Link accepts and ends up defeating a giant spider named Queen Gohma. The Deku Tree then tells Link it is too late and it is beyond saving. He tells explains that a man in black armour casted this dreadful curse on him and how this man seeks the Triforce. He also gives Link the Spiritual Stone of the forest, and sends him off to meet Princess Zelda at Hyrule Castle.

Princess Zelda explains to Link her prophetic dream and that Ganondorf is after the Triforce. To stop him Zelda has decided to get the Triforce before Ganondorf, but she needs the three spiritual stones to be able to open the way to the Triforce. Link agrees to get them for her and sets of on his search for the other two.

He first goes to Death Mountain. By defeating King Dodongo and opening up the mines again, he does the Gorons a huge favour. In return Darunia, the leader of the Gorons, gives the spiritual stone of fire.

Link then goes to Zora's Domain, where he rescues Princess Ruto from inside Jabu-Jabu. As a reward Ruto lends him the spiritual stone of water (which also turns out to be a sort of engagement ring!).

Link goes back to the castle only to find his dream unfolding. As Impa and Zelda pass by, the princess throws the Ocarina of Time to Link. The boy then goes to the Temple of Time and pulls out the Master Sword. However, Ganondorf follows Link into the realm and seizes the Triforce for himself.

Link finds himself seven years later. Rauru, the sage of light, informs Link that he must awaken five other Elemental Sages if he is to save Hyrule.. He tells Link that if he can find the six other sages, they will be able to imprison Ganondorf within the Sacred Realm.

Link then meets Sheik who tells him where the sages are and guides him to the respective temples that the sages guard. Link finds Saria in the forest temple, Darunia in the temple of fire, Ruto in the water temple, Impa in the temple of Shadows, and Nabouru in the spirit temple.

Sheik then reveals that he/she is Princess Zelda in disguise. Zelda is also the seventh sage (the Sage of Wisdom) as well as the leader of the sages. She tells Link that when Ganondorf took the Triforce, his heart was unbalanced, so the Triforce split into three pieces. While this happened Ganon kept the Triforce of Power; Zelda gained the Triforce of Wisdom, and Link obtained the Triforce of Courage. Zelda gives Link the magical Light Arrows needed to defeat Ganondorf.

Ganondorf kidnaps Zelda, and Link goes to rescue her. Link challenges Ganondorf and wins. The castle crumbles, and Link has to fight Ganondorf again. This time though Ganondorf transforms into a beast form called Ganon. Link wins and Zelda opens up a portal with the help of the other Elemental Sages and locks away Ganondorf in what is now the Twilight Realm. Ganondorf vows that when the seal is broken, he will return to exterminate their descendants.

Afterward, a celebration ensues across Hyrule. Zelda plays the Ocarina of Time to send Link back in time to become his child self, before Ganon took over. As a child, Link sneaks into the castle once more to see the young princess. This is where the time-line splits. We end up having Hyrule A where Link goes back in time at the end of the game and is a child, and we have Hyrule B after Zelda sends Link back in the past. Zelda, alone, oversees the restoration of Hyrule after the 7 years of Ganondorf's reign.

I’ll proceed with Time Line A since it’s the shortest one.

Agahnim’s rise to the Hyrulian throne

The War Of The Seal (Ocarina Of Time) as legends now name this war has come and gone, and many generations has passed since then. Hyrule has know nothing but peace until one day strange things begin to happen, and monsters are roaming the land once more. The current king doesn’t know why and has no explainations to give to the people. He lets word out that if anyone can put a stop to the disturbance of peace, he shall be well rewarded.

Enter Agahnim, a mysterious sorcerer. To the surprise and delight of the king, Agahnim casts a spell over Hyrule to protect it, and no monsters has been sighted since. The king rewards him by giving him the role of advisor. However Agahnim after having earned the king’s trust, spirited him away. He then claims that the king has gone and gave him the reign of his kingdom until his return. No one suspects him, except the king’s daughter, Zelda.

When the descendants of the Elemental Sages start to go missing, Princess Zelda finds out that Agahnim is to be blamed and that he has used those missing girls to break the seal of the Dark World/Twilight Realm. She realizes that he is an agent for Ganondorf, but when she tries to warn people she is kidnapped herself being a descendant of the Sage of Wisdom (Zelda 3rd).

A Link To The Past (The 3rd Link mentioned and 4th Zelda)

Zelda is now a prisoner in the castle’s dungeon until she is sent to the Dark World. She send out a telepathic cry for help. Lucky for her it is heard by the last Hylian Knight and his nephew Link.

Link goes to the rescue of the princess and learns from her Agahnim’s plans. Link agrees to help save Hyrule. They go to a sanctuary, a place of prayer to the Goddesses. The monk says they’re only chance of defeating Agahnim would be by repelling his own magic against him and only one sword could do that, the Master Sword. The blade held by the Hero Of Time himself.

Link goes in search of three pendants that would aid him in getting the Master Sword. Once he has them, Link goes to the Lost Woods and gets the sword. However at the same time, Agahnim finds Zelda and brings her back to the castle. Link gets to the castle only to find out that the spell has been casted, and he witnesses Zelda disappearance from this world. Link then fights Agahnim and defeats him only to be sent himself to the Dark World.

In the Dark World Link is given a magical mirror, the Mirror Of Twilight, that will allow him to travel to and from the Dark World. Link then finds a magic pearl that allows him to keep him from transforming into an animal, more precisely a rabbit, in the Dark World. With those two items he is able to save the descendants of the Sages.

Link then goes to Ganon’s Tower for one more challenge. The seven maidens break the barrier around the tower, allowing Link to enter. Link reaches the top and has to fight Agahnim one final time. Ganon’s spirit arises from Agahnim’s body and leads Link to the final battle ground, a pyramid where the fabled Golden Triangle now resides.

Link is able to defeat Ganon with the aid of magical silver arrows given by the queen of fairies. Link speaks with the Triforce and then makes a wish. The wish for peace to return. Peace is finally obtained for Hyrule, and the Dark World disappears returning the Sacred Realm temporarily to it’s former state. I say temporarily because the Goddesses still hasn’t lifted the banishment of the Twili. Notes: It is possible that this Link ends up marrying the Princess Zelda. In the Japanese version when Link meets up his uncle in the dungeons of Hyrule’s Castle, his uncle says that “Zelda is your destiny.” In the north American version this was left out due to lack of space. The uncle just says “Zelda is your…” leaving room for different interpretations. Many years later after Link’s death, his wish wears off and the Twilight Realm is returned to it’s former state.

The Mirror Of Twilight is modified

Seeing how Link the 3rd used the Twilight Mirror to travel from the Dark World/Twilight Realm so easily, the descendants of the Elemental Sages decide to modify it in case the mirror could fall in the wrong hands. They seeked out a mirror maker who enlarged the small Mirror Of Twilight to a full length one.

It was then decided to keep the mirror in Arbiter’s Ground, an ancient temple of judgement that the Gerudos used. It’s location  in the Gerudo Desert made it a good strategically place to guard the mirror. A new order of Sages was created and were assigned to stay at the temple and stand guard. Those sages became to be known as the Guardian Sages.

Justice served

With time the Mirror Of Twilight began to be used as a means of banishing Hyrule’s crime population. Instead of imprisoning the guilty, the guilty was banished to the Twilight Realm via the mirror. When someone was accused of some crime, they were sent to Arbiter’s Ground to be put on trial by the Guardian Sages.

The Return Of Ganondorf

Not much is known about the Ganondorf mentioned by the Guardian Sages. It is unclear if it’s even the same Ganondorf from the War Of The Seal/A Link To The Past.

All that we know is that a certain Ganondorf was put on trial in Arbiter’s Ground and found guilty. He fought back when the Guardian Sages tried to banish him through the Mirror Of Twilight. A Guardian Sage stabbed him with a sword in the intent of killing him. Instead of dying to everyone’s surprise, Ganon pulled the sword free and showed to all that he was master of a Triforce piece, the Triforce Of Power. After a long struggle in which a Guardian Sage gave his life, Ganondorf was finally subdued and banished through the mirror.

The Kingdom Expands

Hyrule becomes the largest known kingdom after it merges with neighbouring lands who seeked the protection, prosperity and stability that Princess Zelda the 4th had created for Hyrule. Hyrule Town region becomes the capital of the kingdom, with Faron, Ordona, Lanayru, and Eldin as provinces.

The Passage of Power…

The Twilight Realm ruler dies with no heirs to the throne. Several candidates are chosen to be the next ruler. Among them are Zant, the court jester with a mind for politics, and Midna, an experienced and wise woman.

When the time to choose came Midna was chosen, leaving a bitter Zant.

…And The Granting Of Power

Zant’s bitterness and need for revenge was so great that it awoke the banished Ganondorf’s spirit. Ganondorf helps Zant gain the throne by lending him some of his powers for a price. The price of becoming his servant once Zant got what he wanted.

Zant uses that power to turn the Twilis into mindless monsters, and turns Midna to an impish form. He then makes himself King Of The Twilight.

Ganondorf was then somehow able to send Zant to Hyrule, perhaps with the aid of the Triforce Of Power. Once in Hyrule Zant was given the task of covering Hyrule in darkness. This was to be Ganondorf’s revenge, rob the Hyrulians of light like they did to him while he was still mortal.

The Downfall Of Hyrule

Zant invades Hyrule and the merging with the Twilight Realm begins. The first region to fall was the capital of Hyrule. Zant gives the ruler of Hyrule a choice, surrender and the people will remain unharmed or fight and everyone shall be massacred. Princess Zelda chooses to surrender.

Without light the light dwellers turned to spirits. Being spirits they went about their daily business unaware of what they have become. All that they knew was that something had happened in Hyrule’s Castle, their Princess hasn’t been seen since then, and strange monsters have been sighted in the kingdom.

The only one who has escaped the fate of the light dwellers was Princess Zelda who was protected by the Triforce Of Wisdom. In exchange for the freedom of the people Zelda accepts to be a prisoner.

Midna’s Plan

Refusing to accept her fate along with the fate of the Twili, Midna began seeking for a way to bring Zant’s downfall. Her search for the Fused Shadows lead her only to the helmet. After a long search she comes to the conclusion that the other parts must be hidden in Hyrule. Taking advantage of the merging of  the Twilight Realm with the Light Realm, Midna starts her search in Hyrule. She ends up finding Princess Zelda, who was now prisoner in her own bedroom.

Midna had no fondness for the light beings but saw that Zelda seemed to be in a similar situation as herself and could relate to her. The two become friends and Midna tells Zelda her plan and how she will need help in her search.

Notes: The portals that the Twili Monsters use to go to Hyrule could have been already there from ALTTP. There could have been a distortion creating permanent portals where Link the 3rd came out of the Dark Realm. The locations seem to match those in ALTTP, the desert, Death Mountain, Lake Hylia… The only one that is slightly off is the portal when you go through the gates of Hyrule Castle that brings you on top of Ganon’s Pyramid. In Twilight Princess that portal is near the entrance of Hyrule Town and not the castle.

Twilight Princess (Link the 4th and Zelda the fifth)

Unconscious of what has befallen the rest of Hyrule, a young man blessed by the Goddesses of Courage, Link left his province of Ordona to deliver his town’s tribute to the crown of Hyrule. On his way he stumbles into the now-merged Twilight Realm and faces  twilight monsters. Instead of turning into a spirit, he turns into a wolf. Finding this strange, the monsters take him prisoner and brings him back to Zant. Zant seeing no interest in the wolf simply has him thrown in the dungeons. However Midna having witness Link’s transformation decides to use him in her search for the Fused Shadows.

Midna tells Link how to escape and tells him she will help him if he helps her with a task. Link agrees. Midna leads him to Zelda, and Zelda explains to Link what has been happening.

Mina and Link leaves and restore the Light Guardian of Faaron Woods returning the province of Faaron and Link to their original state. The duo visit the forest temple and free the leader of a monkey tribe from a Twili Parasite and obtain the first Fused Shadow. They enter another part of the Twilight and Link is turned yet again into a beast. Link and Midna then restore the Light Guardian of Eldin, restoring the province and Link to their original state and visit the Goron mines. There they free the tribal leader of the Gorons from another Twili Parasite, and obtain the second Fused Shadow. Link and Midna enter the final Twilight region covering Lanayru, Link is transformed yet again to his wolf form. Once the Light Guardian of Lanayru has been restored, Link turns back to his human form and the Twilight disappears from Hyrule. They then visit the Water Temple and fight another Twili Parasite, gaining the last piece of Fused Shadow.

Before they can leave the shrine of the Light Guardian, Zant inflicts a mortal wound to Midna and traps Link in his wolf form. He then steals all the Fused Shadows except the helmet. Notes: Perhaps he didn’t know the helmet was a part of the Fused Shadows. Or maybe the helmet is Majora’s Mask that has been modified by Midna to fit her needs (the red arm that allows her to grab stuff and used in one form of Link’s wolf attacks). Knowing that Link is now the Twili’s and Hyrule’s last  hope, Midna asks him to take them to Zelda.

Once in Hyrule Castle, Zelda tells them that the only way for Link to break the curse on himself is to get the Master Sword. Zelda then sacrifices her life so that Midna could live. By doing so however since the body no longer has a spirit, Zelda’s body vanishes. Notes: Or as some say Ganondorf sensed that Zelda’s body no longer had a spirit so he made her body come to him so he could use her as a puppet in the final battle. Baffled by Zelda’s disappearance Midna and Link leave. When they enter Hyrule Field a barrier is created around Hyrule Castle.

After retrieving the Master Sword Link is able to transform to his wolf form at his will. Taking advantage of this helps him through Arbiter’s Ground Temple. Once in the Mirror Chamber they find out that the Mirror Of Twilight has been shattered. Midna tells Link that Zant must have tried to destroy the mirror so they wouldn’t be able to follow him to the Twilight Realm. Midna reveals that only the true ruler of the Twilight Realm can do that.

Notes: Throughout Link’s quest he meets on several occasions the spirit of a long dead Hylia Knight. The knight teaches him about the different sword techniques. Some believe that this spirit could be the spirit of the Hero Of Time or of Link the 3rd.

Link and Midna then find the missing mirror pieces and enter the true Twilight Realm,  where they face Zant. After Zant’s defeat Midna retakes the Fused Shadows. Link and Midna then head to Hyrule’s Castle.

Ganondorf has taken over Zelda’s body, and Link has to reluctantly fight her. With Zelda nearly defeated, Midna uses the Fused Shadows to free her from Ganondorf’s spirit. Zelda is restored, and well again. Midna uses the Fused Shadows once more to warp Link and Zelda away from the castle, and faces Ganondorf by herself.

There is an explosion and Ganondorf appears in front of Link and the princess, holding up Midna’s helmet. The final battle begins and Zelda helps Link for the first part.

Ganondorf is eventually destroyed. The Guardians Of Light appears and Midna is brought back to life and the curse on her is broken. After a brief celebration, Midna accompanied by Link and Zelda go to the Mirror Chamber in Arbiter’s Ground. Midna says her good-byes, and returns to the Twilight Realm breaking the Mirror Of Twilight at the same time to avoid another confrontation between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm. The instability between the two dimensions created by Link the 3rd in his travels to and from the two dimensions is stabilized. There is now no ways for the light beings to go to the Twilight Realm, and the Twili to come to Hyrule.

Evil Arises Again

A century later Ganon appears and causes chaos in Hyrule. No hero arises this time to challenge him. It is believed that the line of the Hero has extinguished. The ruling king of Hyrule makes a wish on the Triforce to save his kingdom until a new line of heroes arises to defeat Ganon. The king asks for a way to prolonged his life until he can find a young man to replace the Hylia Knights of old.

What then happens is that the Goddesses say they will lock Hyrule away and cover it with a new ocean. A handful of people are selected and ordered to go to the tops of the nearest mountains. The rest of the people including Ganon are locked away and Hyrule is flooded.

The Great Sea

With time Hyrule becomes just a forgotten legend among the descendants of the surviving Hyrulians. They vaguely remember the legend of the Hero Of Time and the accomplishments of his descendants. Only the tradition of wearing green on one’s coming of age birthday remains to remember the courage the Hylia Knights had.

The different races of Hyrule have evolved to adapt to the geographical changes. The Zoras were now known as the Ritos. Their fins had changed to wings, they became more bird like with each generation. The Kokiri became known as the Korocks. The once eternal youths had dwindle down to such a few numbers that they eventually changed into small leaf like creatures to be able to blend in more easily with the trees to avoid predators. The gorons unable to reach the top of Death Mountain before the flood were wiped out. Only the hylians were left unchanged.

The Triforce Of Courage was lost and the Triforce Of Wisdom was passed down from one generation to the other by the matriarch of the descendants of the royal family. With time they even forgot what the Triforce was and began thinking it was just a heirloom necklace from happier times. Notes: to explain why Ganondorf still has the Triforce Of Power and why he keeps coming back, I’ll have to say that his spirit is given a form because of the Triforce Of Power.

The Wind Waker

Link, a boy living on Outset Island with his grandma and his sister, is celebrating his coming of age birthday. He had just finish putting on his traditional ceremonial green tunic when his sister was kidnapped by a giant bird.

He had previously seen that same bird just that morning when it had taken a young woman from a pirate ship. After having rescued the mysterious woman she had revealed that the bird had been kidnapping blonde headed blue eyed girls lately.

Link goes off after the bird but to no use. He meets up with the mysterious woman from earlier and discovers that she is the captain of a pirate ship and that her name is Tetra. Link asks her to take him to the island his sister was taken to. Tetra agrees.

Link searches for his sister on the Forgotten Fort Island but is found and casted into the sea. He later wakes up to find himself on Windfall Island and that he had been rescued by a talking red boat called the King Of Red Lions.

Together they sail through the Great Sea, learning that the kidnapper bird works for Ganondorf. An evil man from Hyrule’s past who bears the Triforce of Power. The Red Lion tells Link that the only way he could defeat him and save his sister is by obtaining the Master Sword. The Red Lion leads him to the gateway to Hyrule found in the Tower of the Gods, after obtaining three magic pearls that would allow access to the tower. There Link claims the Master Sword, and the evil forces freed from the seal that the Master Sword kept awakens. Link fights them and returns to the surface.

Link eventually rescues his sister and the other missing girls but is caught by Ganondorf, who laughs at him. The Master Sword has lost its power and Link can’t defeat him. Tetra causes a diversion and frees Link, only to be lifted up by the throat by Ganondorf. Ganondorf, and the King Of Red Lions suddenly realize that Tetra is the descendant of Princess Zelda and that she has the Triforce Of Wisdom. Valoo, a dragon met earlier, and the prince of the Rito rescue Tetra and Link and brings them to the Tower Of the Gods. The King Of Red Lions then tells Link to bring Tetra to Hyrule.

Once in Hyrule, the King Of Red Lions reveals that he is actually the last king of Hyrule and that Tetra should really be the Princess Zelda of this generation. He then states that Tetra should remain in Hyrule with the Triforce Of Wisdom, to stay safe from Ganondorf. Link is sent off to find the missing Triforce Of Courage.

Once the Triforce Of Courage has been reassembled Link returns to Hyrule to find out that Tetra has been kidnapped by Ganondorf. Link goes to ganon’s tower to fight him. Notes: Could actually be Hera’s Tower from A Link To The Past since the original ganon’s tower is in the Twilight Realm.

After a long battle and the reunification of the Triforce, the king makes a wish before Ganondorf gets the chance to touch the Triforce. The king realizing that to destroy Ganondorf’s spirit once and for all, he has to sacrifice Hyrule. He makes the wish for Hyrule to be washed away and that Link and Tetra could find a new Hyrule. Link and Tetra are brought back to the surface, and Tetra regains her original form.

Phantom Hourglass

Not much is known of this event since the game hasn’t come out yet. What has been revealed so far is that after Wind Waker, Link and Tetra have been sailing beyond the boundaries of the Great Sea. They find an abandoned ship, and Tetra goes to explore it. She runs into trouble and Link in his attempt to help her falls into the ocean. He wakes up on some strange island and has to find a way to get back to the abandoned ship to rescue Tetra.

Notes: Someone will have to finish this game when it comes out to give us all the details.

Oracle Of Seasons

Obviously it seems that Tetra and Link were able to find a new homeland, but it is not known yet how they came about finding this new Hyrule and how it grew to the kingdom it is as we see in this game.

The Triforce calls out to yet another lad named Link. Notes: Possibly a descendant of the Hero Of Winds. Link approaches the Triforce and is transported to a land called Holodrum. There he is greeted by the Oracle Of Seasons, Din. Their chance meeting was interrupted by the appearance of Onox, the General of Darkness. Din is kidnapped and from then on the seasons are disturbed.

Link after several challenges finds the Rod Of Seasons and goes to face Onox. Onox is defeated and Din is rescued. Princess Zelda appears, having sensed that something was happening in Holodrum, and thanks Link for restoring the land and saving the Oracle Of Seasons.

Here ends part one of the time line

Notes: To find out what happens next one must also have played Oracle Of Ages and use the password at the end. Using a Game Link Cable an event occurs that has possibly the effects of merging the two time lines into one again.

The Merging Of The Time Lines: The Flames of Sorrow, Destruction, And Despair

Twin Rova appears and ruins the celebration of the return of the Oracle Of Seasons. Notes: It could be that the Hero Of Time didn’t really kill Twin Rova in the Temple Of Spirits and that this Twin Rova is a descendant of the original. Or it could be the original’s spirit that has come back after no longer sensing the spirit of Ganondorf. Which ever the case is the goal is the same. Bring back to life Ganondorf’s spirit.

The kidnapping of both oracles in the two time lines caused the Candles Of Sorrow and Despair to light up. Only a tribute and the lighting of the Candle Of Despair was needed to revive Ganondorf. Taking advantage of Zelda’s appearance, Twin Rova kidnaps her.

Link goes to Twin Rova’s lair  only to find out that the last candle has been lit. He fights with Twin Rova and ironically she ends up being the tribute. Ganondorf is brought back, but in the shape of a demon, and hence becomes known as Ganon. After a battle, Link defeats Ganon. Holodrum is saved and Link and Zelda go back to Hyrule.
