Most of you have probably never heard of The
Legend of Zelda: Faces of Evil. That is because the game is one of
three Zelda games not released on a Nintendo console. In the early
1990s when Nintendo was looking to make a CD-ROM add-on to the Super NES,
they licensed some of their characters to Phillips, a company who had
recently released their own CD system, the CD-i and was at the top of
the list of companies who would help Nintendo with their
add-on.

System: Phillips CD-i

The game features familiar characters, such
as Link, Zelda, and Ganon, and is once again a quest for Link to get the
Triforce and save Zelda from Ganon. Most people agree that the
three CD-i Zelda games were horrible, but while they may not be made by
Nintendo, they look like very interesting games to play.
Unfortunately, it is probably next to impossible to track down a copy of
them or a CD-i system since the system was a huge flop, so most of us
will never get the chance to play them.
