Zelda: Legacy of Time

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 1

After many years of the battle with Ganondorf, in the Ocarina of Time,
many wondered if Hyrule could continue to be in peace. Link often would
think about these things once in a great while. After defeating
Ganondorf and sealing him in the Evil Realm, how could he ever escape?
Was it possible? The Hyrulians all over Hyrule all thought they were
safe forever, and never worried. So many years have passed, and no evil
anywhere. Lon Lon Ranch has become huge and bigger. The owner Talon, had
decided to sell horses each for 500 rupees. Every horse could be sold,
except for Epona. Epona was special, and actually belonged to Link.
Therefore, Epona was Link's horse, and Talon had promised that he would
never sell her. Epona had always been fond of home, and the fresh green
grass that was at the ranch. Now, don't forget about Ingo or Malon now!
Ingo actually has started his own ranch which is right next door to Lon
Lon Ranch. The name of the ranch is, "Ingo's Ranch of Life", and it in
fact, has more than Lon Lon Ranch. It has chickens for sale, chicken to
eat, and a weekly auction every weekend. The auctioneer is Darunia from
Goron City. Darunia does the job for free too! Actually, Darunia gets
something in exchange, he gets to keep at least three chickens, and can
take them back to Goron City with him. Now, what about Malon you ask?
Malon is still living at Lon Lon Ranch. She's still her usual self- a
horse lover. All of Hyrule has pretty much remained the same. Some
places have expanded in size, and some have not. Lake Hylia has grown
much over the years though. The Fishing Pond has been expanded to a
total size of three acres. They've also made the rule that you cannot
use one of their fishing poles. Instead, you will need to bring your
own. Gerudo Valley has changed a lot over the years. Trees have been
planted practically everywhere, making it a forest land. Zora's Domain,
Death Mountain, and most of the other places throughout Hyrule, have not
really changed that much. Princess Zelda is still around, and still
manages to have some nightmares that make her frightened. From the time
Ganondorf arrived at Hyrule Castle, from the time he kidnapped Princess
Zelda, it all still haunts her once in a while. But it is the dreams
that Princess Zelda has been having that frightens her. What she sees in
her dreams are very horrifying. She sees Hyrule Castle, and in it a
stranger comes in the midst of dark. She can't see the face behind the
stranger, but she feels the sense of evil inside. After telling her
father about it, he said that it was nothing. But does this dream
somehow symbolize an upcoming evil event?

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 2

Even though Princess Zelda had these disturbing dreams, it wouldn't and
didn't bother her too much. The question is, are the dreams she has been
trying to say something, or is it a warning? After these dreams went by,
every night, Princess Zelda went to her guardian Impa, to hear what she
would have to say about it. Zelda went to Impa and said," Impa, I have
been having some disturbing dreams. Impa replied saying,"I don't want to
expand your fears but, the last time you had your dreams or visions,
they came to life. The lad from the forest with the green stone iis what
I'm talking about. Princess Zelda suddenly began to cover her head, and
started to worry. She thought to herself that evil must be on its way.
Impa replied to Princess Zelda saying, "I'm starting to get a bad
feeling that evil is trying to enter Hyrule." Princess Zelda replies,
"After all this time, I can't believe it. Night came, and Hyrule was at
its darkest moments again. The sky turned pitch black, while thunder
began to roar. All of the fresh green grass started to turn ugly.
Lightening flashed and struck the grounds, while thunder continued to
roar louder and louder. Trees collapsed and fell down as well. Folks
that were in the town market ran for shelter. And at the Temple of Time,
evil was at its worst. Inside, it was extremely shaking, and felt like
an earthquake. The glass windows in the temple sheered into pieces,
while rain cam pouring in. After the rain, the Door of Time slammed down
and then with the wicked winds from outside, the Door of Time was blown
and landed at the entrance of the temple. The sunlight in the temple
went down and faded, making the temple much darker inside. Some of the
roof of the temple began to fall, and then it suddenly stopped. Then, a
bright, shining, and yellow light suddenly appeared, and the whole
Temple of Time was all light. This light surrounded the entire Temple of
Time inside. In the bright and blinding light, something was moving. It
was a person, some stranger who could not be clearly seen with the
bright light everywhere. This stranger had his face hidden in the bright
light. The stranger began walking out of the temple. With powerful
forces, the stranger moved the Door of Time. The stranger made his way
out, and made his way further to Hyrule Castle. He could now not hide
his face due to no more bright light. Outside it was very dark though.
The stranger suddenly encountered two guards. One guard came out and
said, "Uh, sir...you can't go any further to Hyrule Castle, I'm sorry
but it is the King's orders, we no longer take any visitors. Wait...you!
Hey, you! You are....!" Before the guard could finish his sentence, the
stranger attacked him, along with the other guard. The stranger
continued on his way. He came upon the castle...with five guards
standing by. The guards yelled, "Sir, ...! Get out of here, you are...!
You are the..!" Suddenly, the guards brought out their spears and
attacked. The stranger was knocked down, and then got back up. He used
some block of power and aimed it right at the five guards. The guards
got back up and threw their spears right at the stranger. The stranger
then used a strong block of wind and the guards were down and blown far
away, landing at the market. The stranger proceeded walking. It was this
dark and evil foe that was yet to shatter Hyrule's peace.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 3

The stranger didn't stop even if something shall be in his way. A huge
rock stopped him from going any further. The stranger stopped and
thought for a minute, and had an idea. He used his power and lifted the
block and threw it far, far away. He then proceeded upon the beautiful
Hyrulian meadows until then reaching the front gate to Hyrule Castle.
Two guards standed by, one referred to the stranger as a visitor, and
the other guard.......well......he knew who it was. When the stranger
came upon the guard that knew who he was, he instantly knocked him to
the ground lying helplessly. The other guard didn't see the stranger
doing this because he was watching behind him like his orders from the
King were. The stranger came over to the guard, and the guard said,"Are
you new to Hyrule? I know I haven't seen your face around here before.
Sorry sir, but I can't let you in the castle, it's the King's orders."
The stranger then did the same to this guard as the other guard, he used
a powerful force to knock him down to the ground. After this, the
stranger was now on his way to finding the path to the castle. The main
gate was before him but he didn't have any way of opening it. Instead he
went to the right alley of the main gate and came upon a little door
that was nothing. The stranger tried and tried, the door didn't open at
all, not even one little bit. Then he saw a ladder. He used the ladder
and went up the castle wall and was now on top of the castle, on the
roof. He found a small hole and went down it. He was now inside of
Hyrule Castle. The castle was pitch dark inside with all asleep. The
stranger went through dozens of secret passageways and finally came upon
a room. The room was Princess Zelda's! Princess Zelda was sleeping and
the stranger came to her and said,"How dare you begin to think that I'm
sealed away forever!" Princess Zelda's eyes opened, she was lost and
confused thinking what in the world is this?! Then she turned on the
light in the room and she saw it! She screamed Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Help
me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was seeing not a dream but reality. It was
Ganondorf she saw. He then closed her mouth and tied her up with a rope.
Princess Zelda tried to scream some more but she just could not with a
rope over her mouth. Then Ganondorf handled her Ocarina of Time and
played a mysterious melody that did something way out of this world. It
took them both back through time five centuries ago. Ganondorf had
trapped himself along with Princess Zelda locked in time. Ganondorf and
Zelda landed in a century 5 times ago, and they were at what would
supposed to be Hyrule Castle. It was just ground they were standing on.
Ganondorf had the Ocarina of Time with him, along with Zelda, making him
very powerful. He had the Triforce of Power, but the question remained;
how did he escape from the Evil Realm he was sealed in by the seven
sages years ago?

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 4

After all of this, Impa woke up the next morning and noticed Princess
Zelda was missing. She went to the King and said," Princess Zelda is
missing, I don't know where she has gone. She was here last night
sleeping and now she's gone." What happened next? All of the inhabitants
of Hyrule did a gigantic search for Zelda. They ended up all being
unsuccessful in the search. The one soldier who knew the stranger was
Ganondorf was not dead, but injured. He came to the King and Impa,"Sir,
and Impa, I know what happened. I know this will sound absolutely crazy,
but there was someone who came by the castle last night; it was
Ganondorf! Call me crazy if you must, it was indeed him! The other guard
with me, Lsowa, didn't know who Ganondorf was. I did, and I got knocked
down with his powerful force. I don't know where he went after he
knocked me down, though Lsowa was down when I woke up. I hear Zelda is
missing, correct? Well, maybe he kidnapped her. I'm not certain, but
it's a possibility." The King replied,"This is ridiculious, Ganondorf is
gone forever, sealed I mean when I say that." Impa came out and
said,"Maybe he is right, why would you make this up Oathrius?" Oathrius
replied"I tell you the truth and that's it, I know what I saw!" He
therefore was telling the truth and then that was that. Impa went over
and talked with the King. Oathrius stared at them, wanting to know so
badly what they were talking about. Oathrius shouted,"Are you talking
about me?! I'm not lying you know!" Impa looked at Oathrius and said,"We
are not talking about you; we are discussing our plans on who to find to
help us find the princess. I believe you are telling the truth Oathrius,
as you have always been an honest and loyal soldier of this castle of
Hyrule. Oathrius responded,"Well thank you, it's been an honor to guard
this castle, but seeing Ganondorf coming through.....was something else.
Hey, tell me, how the heck did Ganondorf escape from the Evil Realm?
Wasn't he sealed by the seven sages, you Impa, being one of them? Impa
turned to make eye contact with Oathrius and said,"Oathrius, the way
Ganondorf came about and escaped is a mystery as of now. I'm sure that
he kidnapped Princess Zelda and took him with her somewhere, but where?
Impa then almost fainted when she discovered the Ocarina of Time was
gone. "How can this be? The Ocarina of Time is missing! This is not good
at all! Shocked and confused, Impa, the King, and Oathrius all had to do
something about all of this. If only their were some way that Princess
Zelda could get in contact with her......That would be the only real
proof that she was actually kidnapped.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 5

Back in time, 5 centuries into the past Princess Zelda and Ganondorf
standed at where Hyrule Castle supposedly stands today. But back that
many centuries ago their was obviously no castle built at the time.
Their was something nowadays that was back here now in the 1500's; the
Temple of Time. It was not finished built, but almost. The glass windows
in the temple were fairly shiny and new, making the whole place look as
though no one has entered yet.
Ganondorf and Princess Zelda were standing at empty grounds now. With
the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf destroyed the Temple of Time for no
apparent reason. (Princess) Zelda watched and wanted to get the Ocarina
of Time into her reach. Her goal was to get the Ocarina of Time and play
a melody called "Song of Ages" which allowed one to communicate through
time with another one that had an ocarina. It was a powerful and ancient
melody that only were known by the Royal Family of Hyrule. Meanwhile
Zelda was trapped in a small underground pit under the empty ground that
nowadays is the castle of Hyrule. She saw the precious Ocarina of Time
before her on a tall ledge. She wasn't quite tall enough to reach it,
but that wouldn't stop her. Ganondorf had dug a underground pit for
Zelda to be in. Zelda could breathe though, but she was trapped in this
secretly and dark pit. The underground pit was not very big, with no
roof either. The roof was like a cage actually that you could look down
into or walk over. Zelda could watch Ganondorf as well.
Going back to Hyrule, Impa and the King waited in the castle. Impa had
something brilliant in mind now. These matters involved ocarinas. She
then came over to the King and said,"Do you remember the ancient powers
of the ocarina and the Song of Ages? Since the Ocarina of Time is
missing, along with Zelda and Ganondorf, are first clue to this whole
ordeal is to try and see if in anyway, it would be possible to have
Princess Zelda communicate with us using our extra ocarina that never is
being used. The downfall is that we do not have the Ocarina of Time. If
in anyway possible that Zelda would play the Song of Ages, and we
listened, she could tell us her whereabouts and if Ganondorf is there
too."
Zelda could not reach the ledge that held the Ocarina of Time, but then
she continued to jump and jump. Finally, she got hold of the Ocarina of
Time! She knew there was no song that she could play to warp her back
into the present time, but she wanted to use her only chance by playing
the Song of Ages. She remembered the notes to the song. Impa had taught
her when she was a young child many years ago. Zelda went through and
played the Song of Ages.........Impa and the King were near the ocarina
in the castle hoping that Zelda would play the song for them so they
could learn what all has happened.........After connecting
telepathically, Impa listened to the words of Princess Zelda,"Impa,
anybody, anybody there? This is Zelda." Impa responded,"Zelda, where are
you?! Your father and I are worried about you; where are you?" Zelda
replied,"Listen, a lot of things have happened. I have been kidnapped by
Ganondorf. I don't know how he came about or escaped, but he kidnapped
me, and played a song on the ocarina of time that I or you or no one
probably knows. I'm trapped in time 5 centuries into the past putting me
into the 1500's. I'm in an underground pit that Ganondorf locked me in.
He left the Ocarina of Time in the pit on a ledge and I got it and here
I am now speaking to you telepathically." Impa shocked, responded,"So
Ganondorf kidnapped you and does he know your speaking to me
telepathically?" Zelda replied,"No, he doesn't, but he will probably
catch me talking to you though. Since I have told you of all of this,
this could be the last time I speak to you; that is if he doesn't catch
me." Impa continued to reply,"Your father and I are overwhelmed that we
have heard from you and we are going to find and rescue you somehow and
discover how Ganondorf managed to escape from the Evil Realm." Zelda was
suddenly beginning to be disconnected telepathically. Ganondorf found
Zelda and saw her. He shouted,"Do you really think I'm that much of a
fool? That was not a very smart move you know." Zelda terrified, said
her last words before being completely disconnected,"Help
me.......please!" Impa was disconnected from Zelda and then was glad she
knew her whereabouts now. Ganondorf, angry as ever, came down to the
underground pit that Zelda was in, and took the Ocarina of Time away
from her for good this time. He kept it with him. Zelda was now lost in
time, alone and confused with her worst nightmare; Ganondorf.
Impa meanwhile, noticed the disconnection of Zelda and knew that her
conversation that she just had, could possibly be her only and last one.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 6

The disappearance of Princess Zelda forced Impa to do something about
it. She then remembered Link from the Kokiri Forest who many years ago,
saved the land of Hyrule from Ganondorf. She now got on her white horse
and traveled to Kokiri Forest. After making her way into the forest, she
was stopped by the boss of the Kokiri race, Mido. She remembered Mido's
stubborness when she last saw her ages ago. Mido was always stubborn and
jealous of everyone. Mido came to Impa saying,"What brings you here you
Impa? What business do you have invading this forest for no apparent
reason? Or do you have a reason?" Impa replied,"Mido, I do not want to
cause any trouble for you or anyone, but I need to talk to Link about
some important things, is he here?" Mido replies,"Huh, okay, he's over
at Saria's house with the other Kokiri." Thank you, replied Impa.." Impa
walked over to Saria's house. The forest looked different from what she
remembered, there were more trees now and smaller trees had grown quite
a bit. She saw Link and spoke to him,"Link, it is me, the guardian of
the Princess Zelda, Impa. I am here to discuss something important
concerning Zelda." Link was shocked and wondered saying,"It has been
quite some time since I've seen you or Zelda, what seems to be the
problem?" Impa replied,"There's a lot to be explained so let me
start......Apparently, Ganondorf somehow managed to escape from the Evil
Realm and invaded Hyrule Castle. He knocked down 5 guards on his way,
along with the 2 top guards that guard the entrance door to the castle.
He then kidnapped Zelda and the Ocarina of Time, while playing a strange
song that warped them into the past putting them into the 1500's. This
is crazy, I know, but it's true. Zelda communicated with me using the
Ocarina of Time and I had a ocarina around. She communicated
telepathically with me and told me all about this. She is kidnapped in
an underground pit, and Ganondorf has obviously caught Zelda talking to
me since I got disconnected with her. That's what I'm assuming anyway.
Now, I'm asking for your assistance to save Princess Zelda and to bring
her back to Hyrule, also to get Ganondorf back into the Evil Realm. I'm
still curious as everyone else is, how he escaped from the Evil Realm.
Can I ask this of you?" Link said yes, and was on his way to Hyrule
Castle. He had no idea where to start, but he was going to know very
soon.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 7

At Hyrule Castle, Link stood before the King listening to what his point of view was on the whole thing,”Young lad of the forest, I’m thankful you came here and are willing to help bring Zelda back. I have no idea where you should start, but I think I have a few things in mind. As you know, Hyrule is the only place you have lived in throughout your life. I, myself, have been to some other places though it was ages or decades ago. There is a way to leave this land of Hyrule. Behind this castle is the exit. A long way through it all, but it isn’t impossible. There are always visitors who have came and gone, stayed and moved, and everything. Let me tell you about other places outside of this land of Hyrule. There are some very ancient lands out there. Few have walked on them because they are afraid. Legends say they contain treasures and secret powers, but no one has went deep enough to prove this a true fact. Besides, no one visits the ancient lands anymore. They call the lands ancient because of all the time they have been there. Some have also went far enough to say some of the places are haunted. All of this is from my own knowledge and what I’ve seen with my own eyes. These ancient lands do have names, but they’re engraved somewhere in each of the lands. Oh, I almost forgot; the exit to Hyrule will lead you directly to Hyrulian Sea. That sea is beautiful and dangerous with plenty of fish to catch. Don’t panic though, years ago various folks out of Hyrule lended a hand in building a dock. So, you won’t need a boat or ship. What you will need though is alertness. You must be ready for anything at anytime. Do you understand then...okay, very good. Remember to keep faith on your journey.” Link now knew what he had to do; find a way to unravel the mysteries of the ancient lands right out of Hyrule. Link continued on his way and made his way out of the castle. He continued walking his way behind the castle to the gate. Impa came before him,”Your leaving aren’t you? We all will be praying that your journey be a safe one, and a successful one. Your effort of bringing the princess back earns you a lot of respect from all of Hyrule. Good luck!”  Link continued walking to the gate behind the castle and made it there; but guards were nearby,”Hey, you, kid, what the heck do you think your doing?! You can’t unlock this gate by yourself you know? Or do you have the key?....You’re the hero Link that is going after Zelda? The King told me about it, good luck kid!”  The guard used the gate key he had and unlocked the gate. Link went on his way and continued. Like the King said, there was in fact, a dock. It simplified things a bit, and saved some time.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 8

Link stepped on the dock and saw beautiful waters surrounding him. They were crystal blue with frogs and turtles on the edges of the shores. The turtles were dangerous as they came and ran at Link. Link ran and got away avoiding attack from a turtle. Up ahead was a little bit of land with a measly fruit tree. Besides, that it had nothing much else. To his right was something big, it was a big island as it looks. It possibly was the entrance to the ancient lands. Link began walking toward the island and then was stopped by the owl Kaepora Gaebora,”What do you wish to obtain by going any further? The ancient lands as they are called, they lie ahead. Be careful if you must go, few have walked on them.” The owl left and flew away. Link proceeded on his way. This island was empty but covered with very tall trees. It was an island that was a forest from what it looked like. Trees covered the island along with water streams. Could this be the entrance or connection to the ancient lands that the King was talking about? Link thought and thought. He then encountered a strange building. It was dome shaped and looked like a triangular building. There then was a door. Link opened the door and was amazed for it was completely dark inside. He could see nothing at all. He then luckily found a torch and lit it, he carried the torch with him and made his way up some stairs. Then, Link was caught in surprise when a gigantic spider came down and swapped him. “Ahhhh!”, replied Link. Link did have a weapon, and he used his Kokiri Sword and finished off the spider. He just didn’t know that even further ahead, there were more spiders; and they were everywhere. Link easily finished them off with his sword and proceeded. What surprise awaited next Link thought?......As he made his way up the second flight of stairs he came upon a strange ghost that appeared and spoke,”Thou must have courage to enter the realm to the forbidden ancient lands that lie ahead. Tell me why must you come to this place when your not prepared? Or are you prepared? I see you have a sword and shield equipped, but can you still think you can manage the mysteries ahead?” Link said yes and the ghost suddenly disappeared in an instance. It was very strange that the ghost vanished so quickly. Link proceeded and came upon the third flight of stairs only to find another torch that he could lit. After reaching the fourth flight of stairs, then the fifth flight of stairs, and even the sixth flight of stairs nothing appeared. It seemed more like he was in a maze for he was being led nowhere, just in circles. The seventh flight of stairs was very different though. Every other stair was missing for some odd reason. Link had to hop his way through it all as well. Suddenly bats came out. Link easily used his torch he had with him to scare them away. There were broken glass windows on the eight flight of stairs leaving Link no choice but to jump as far as he could to avoid getting injured severely. The ninth flight of stairs brought spikes to Link’s attention making Link jump over them while holding on the rail of the stairs. Just how many stairs could there be he thought.....He now came to the tenth flight of stairs and found his way up with no problems yet. He heard something though. It was not music, but echoing of water leaking. It was all very strange, yet there were more strange things yet to come about. He came to a door that could hardly be seen for the whole place was still very dark. He then turned the handle of the door, and went through the door. He was no longer in a building, but a strange outside world that looked to be abandoned. No people were around at all. Link knew to keep faith since Zelda was in need. He thought this to be one of the sacred ancient lands but it appeared not to be. It was an empty land with nothing. It was another forested land with trees everywhere and pine cones falling down continuously. He walked through it all only to look to his left and saw what must be an exit. It was not an exit. He saw a village type town to his left. He came up to the village and saw a sign saying,”Kapala Village.” The sign was very old and looked to be in bad shape. The funny thing was that no one was near around or anything. This couldn’t be one of the sacred lands could it? A person, an old lady yelled,”Who are you?! Welcome to Kapala Village!” My name is Link and I come from Hyrule”, Link replied. The old lady came and said,”What brings you here boy?”, Link replied,”I’m on a mission to find the secrets of these ancient lands in hope of saving a princess back in my land where I come from; Hyrule.” The lady stared in wonder,”Your from Hyrule? What a beautiful place to be!” The ancient lands are what your after I see, well they’re haunted some of them, and it’s your choice if you want to go to them. This village of Kapala doesn’t have much of a population but size doesn’t matter if you ask me. I’ve lived here for 40 years. It looks like your shocked by this? Are you?” Link replied,”No, I’m not, but your not the only one in the village are you?” The lady replied,”No, no. I have a husband and four children who are somewhere around here.” So your not the only one then, said Link.”  No, I am not and you can call me by my name; Madame. And your name is...?, “Link, is my name, said Link.”   Link then told her his name and then shook hands as that is the proper way to meet. Madame, the old lady, left to do her everyday duties which seemed to be keeping the village clean and neat. Her children were playing in the forest nearby and said,”Hey, you, who the heck are you and what do you want from us? You’re a stranger aren’t you?”  Link replied saying,”Yes, my name’s Link am I’m on a journey to the ancient lands.”  Ancient lands, huh? The children continued to play and were too confused in what Link was saying so they left him be.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 9

Links journey did not end their either. He ventured through the village of Kapala and asked the husband of the lady Madame a question. This guy was different enough being out gathering lumber. “What brings you here, who are you? Link, is my name,”so Link said. Oh so I see that you’re a visitor then?” What do you want from us, ancient lands or something?” Link replied saying yes and,”I’m in search of the ancient lands to unravel the mysteries of them in hopes of finding clues of how to go back in time at least 500 years ago or so. Princess Zelda of Hyrule, where I live, was kidnapped and everything, it’s sort of hard to explain.”  Oh, your from Hyrule, replied the guy whose name was Tosok.”  I know Hyrule, I haven’t been there in years, but I do remember it. I used to visit Lon Lon Ranch there to get fresh dairy milk every month. Now, we don’t have milk and we’ve lived in this village for so long that we just can’t move. Do you know what I mean? Well, anyway, you said something about the ancient lands......They are some frightening places to go, or at least from what I’ve heard throughout my life. I have never been to any of them, but I’ve heard tales of them being haunted and even deadly. Kid, you better be careful if you go.”  Thank you, replied Link.” Link then said,”Which way do I go to the ancient lands sir?” He replied saying,”You can access them by going north. If you go back to the entrance of this village, go straight, then turn to your left, and follow the path north. You should then come upon a canyon, the Kapala Canyon. Once your there at the canyon, they are scattered around somewhere I believe. Do you understand?”  Yes I do, replied Link.” Hey, kid, good luck!”
Link followed his directions and reached Kapala Canyon. The first thing that came to mind was it’s size. It was absolutely gigantic. A waterfall was on top of the canyon, while trees and flowers were everywhere. It actually looked like a beautiful place to be. Link climbed the canyon to the top and found a lost frog. These words came out of the frogs mouth:
Thee lands lie ahead contain danger
                            Danger to die for
                            Treasures to behold
                            Darkness not to ever fade
                            Thee lands have these things
                            Be careful

The frog then lost its’ voice and continued to live lost and confused on the canyon’s top. Link didn’t know what he really meant, but it was clear enough to him, something he already had been told by other folks he talked to.
Back in Hyrule, Impa was with the King,”I hope Link is alright, he is one a big journey searching those ancient lands. He will be alright, he is a courageous lad,” replied the King.” It was certain that Impa was worried about Link and what could happen to him. Impa, had never been to any of the ancient lands but her father had; and he ventured there and never returned. It was many years ago, in the ancient land of Yito where it happened. Her father was there hoping to find gold or treasures. He entered an underground pit and found himself lost where he couldn’t escape. Impa’s mother came to the land of Yito the next day to look for him. She knew that’s where he was since he said he was going there. She was stopped by what she called a “talking tree” that told her that her husband entered an underground pit and would live lost in the depths of darkness. The talking tree also said that he was forever lost there and if one goes down there they will get lost, anyone that is. Impa’s mother terrified, left this land and returned to Hyrule immediately. The forever disappearance of her husband, and Impa’s father, was rather tragic, but nothing could really be done. This whole ordeal happened nearly 30 years ago.  The memory was emotionally rough on Impa as well as her mother. Now, they were healed and over it for the most part. It was what happened to her father, that made her learn that curiosity can haunt you.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 10

If you ever dared to battle the many mysteries that these ancient lands held, you would be lost forever. Impa's disappearance of her father who's name was Roto, was never proven to be dead. The only proven fact that they knew that he probably was lost for good, and he never has been found. Roto was a very courageous and wise man. He worked for the King of Hyrule back ages ago. He was in charge of making sure that the King and all of his servants and everyone within the castle got fed. He delivered their food every day and night on every day of the week. Roto never really thought of this job as a job, mainly because it was not a hard job and he was on the other hand; living in a rich and beautiful castle. It was Hyrule Castle; the highest point considered in all of Hyrule. Back in those old times, few people ever challenged to discover any of the ancient lands. Legend has always been that they are signs of danger. From what the record says and keeps, only 3 people have ever dared to go into the ancient lands. Roto(Impa's Father), a fellow salesman from Lon Lon Ranch, and Lipscus, a well known carpenter and a successful one. Out of those 3, one's whereabouts are unknown, while the other 2 lost their lives. Roto, is the only person ever to not officially die, though no one really knows if he is alive or not. Next, there is the salesman from Lon Lon Ranch. Apparently, this salesman was stubborn and decided to look for the precious Triforce. He wanted to use the Triforce to conquer the world and make his wishes come true. He was too confident that he would find it. He walked into the dark land of Riko, only to end up dead. From what the books say, he stepped onto the land and fell to his knees and suffered until he finally died. Witnesses saw him die and were very frightened. They wanted to see him try to go through this land and find it. They never knew that for any reason at all, that he would somehow just die when your feet touch the ground of this place. Some of the witnesses took this very hard and felt bad since they didn't know. No one knew that when you touch the ground that you would suffer and die. It was all a dark and evil surprise that came about. From that moment on, no one ever mentioned the name Riko, or the history of it. It was something that all of Hyrule wanted to put behind them for good. The other one who went into the ancient lands was a carpenter who was very well known; his name was Lipscus. He was a very well known carpenter who traveled out of Hyrule at times. He made good profit every year. He traveled all around Hyrule to do business in fact. He was a loner, but he had plenty of friends. Goron City was where he had a lot of business. People always were asking for him to help him all the time. Almost everyone knew who he was and what his name was. He worked for years and years, 40 years in fact. When he was done being a carpenter he was 60 years old. Lipscus was a very wise and curious man who was the research type. Throughout his life he was always researching in books about the ancient lands outside of Hyrule. He never knew how to get to any of them or where they were. But at age 60, he finally got his chance. He talked to the King of Hyrule Castle and he told him to reconsider. Lipscus was very courageous and he wasn't going to back out of this. He wanted to go to one of the ancient lands and take photographs and get some information on at least one of them. He wanted to come back and be known for exploring one of the ancient lands. The King agreed to let him go, but under one condition; he would have to be alert and ready. 20 people took a boat to an ancient land with Lipscus. They wanted to make sure he would manage alright. They also wanted to keep an eye on the land and witness anything that they had seen. When it all came down to it, Lipscus and the other 20 people who came along to monitor things, they reached the land of Oath. Lipscus agreed to check this out and research it. The 20 stayed on the boat keeping an eye on the land and Lipscus. When Lipscus put his feet on the ground of the place, nothing happened like it did in Riko. Instead, a strange sound was played. A disturbing sound it was. The sound of this somehow hurt inside Lipscus. Lipscus looked behind him to find a dozen ghosts and it is known who were out to attack the intruder. Lipscus ran and fell into a pit. Lost, he managed to exit the underground lair and only to find out that he was still being followed. He went up flights and flights of stairs and then through a glass door. This now was not an underground lair or pit, it was a maze that he was in. It looked more like a palace.

He was being psychologically controlled as time went on. The power of the ghosts controlled his minds and actions. This whole time Lipscus was never actually in a dungeon or anything. You wouldn't be able to find him because he was trapped psychologically by the ghosts for good. The ghosts had him under their web for good this time. The 20 witnesses from Hyrule that came along knew he had died, the ghosts had somehow stopped his heart from beating. The evidence was clear he was dead when the ghosts let him appear dead. After they showed him dead, they brought him back into their psychological trap and the rest is unknown. So only 3 were ever brave enough to try to check out the ancient lands ever. Hopefully, Link would be the 4th one to go; but to be a survivor.

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 11

Time was fading day by day, hour by hour, and month by month. Princess Zelda was being held captive by Ganondorf, who took her back into time five centuries. He had to be stopped or else Zelda may never return to Hyrule again. All of Hyrule were worried about her and if she would ever be found. But, they were also worried about Link. They were worried that he might end up dead like the salesman and Lipscus the carpenter. Impa had the feeling that Link was the true hero of legend and the heroic spirit that he had within himself, could never be defeated in the end. Impa was hoping for some reason that Link could go to Yito and find out if her father was dead or not. Thirty years is quite some time for someone to be found, but anything is possible.

Link had something in him that led him to victory; courage. He was courageous enough to battle evil as he did Ganondorf. Link never gave up hope for anything important. Link now was still in Kapala Canyon exploring his surroundings. The one frog that talked to him was still around and for some strange reason, the frog spoke,"Doon't go...go..further." The frog barely could speak right now. Link lost sight of the strange frog then spotted it. The frog was hiding inside of a tree for some reason. It came obvious why; it was raining. Lightning filled the clear blue skies turning them to black and dark skies.

Thunder roared and roared and roared. Then Link found a stone that had something engraved on it, it read:

                                      Kapala Canyon
                                      Music rests thy soul
                                      Magic defeats evil
                                      Rain sets curses

What does this mean Link thought.  Then it came clear that this was a sign of information about this place. Music rests thy soul.....It must mean music can do something powerful, but what? Magic defeats evil......Rain sets curses....Link had no musical instrument but he hummed the Song of Storms to himself and suddenly.....He..fell in a deep sleep. The message,"Music rests thy soul obviously puts one into a deep sleep. Link fell in a deep sleep and if he wasn't awakened, peace would never return to Hyrule. Somehow Link had to have waken up soon before he is lost for good. The thunder roaring in the skies was gone. But then this little strange frog came to Link and woke him up by tapping on his shoulder. Somehow Link finally woke up. Link came to sense that humming music isn't something he should do here. What does Magic defeats evil Link thought. Link released one of his light arrows that he had and the whole place shaked like an earthquake. An earthquake was what exactly was happening here. The canyon shattered into separate parts while Link fell into a pile of leaves from a falling tree. Then something happened that was amazing. Just releasing a weapon that consumed magic changed the place dramatically. This whole place of Kapala Canyon was reborn and brought to it's original state. Link had managed to return peace to this place and to vanish the evil curses that lied within the place. Suddenly, trees were no longer anywhere at this canyon, but a house appeared within 20 feet of Link. This wasn't a trick nor a spell, it was true magic. Link walked in the direction of the house. He came inside the house and found that it was a basement-like place. He walked down one flight of stairs and saw before him, an old lady sitting at a table. The old lady said,"Who might you be may I ask? "My name's Link and I've broken a curse here I believe."  The lady wondered and wondered what he was talking about but she then caught on to what he was talking about. "I have lived here for a long time. My family has lived and died here, while I still live here. I see you have brought this place back to it's glorious state. You have strange powers. Thank you anyway! I'm a little afraid to say it, but I am the only human being living at this place. Life here has been put on hold for the last 500 years. It's quite complicated to understand these matters, but it is true. An evil curse was put on this land by an evil war that took place here. It was a war between the people living in the land of Riko and this land. The people there wanted to take our land from us which would force us to leave with no home. We refused and they came to battle us. It was such a sad moment for me and everyone. One night, the houses of this place suddenly were in flames. The people of Riko battled us and we fought them continuously. They won and we lost, they took the lives of everyone here. They didn't take my life though. I was hidden in the basement of my house. It wasn't for a while when one of the Riko people said,"Ho,ho,ho. Are they all clear? I repeat...are they all clear?" It wasn't for a while until one of the soldiers found me in my basement. They commanded me to leave the house or die. I chose to stay in my house for it was my property, no one else's. Then the leader of the Riko people came to me and set a spell on me and Kapala Canyon. From what I remember of the leader, he wore a dark mask that covered his face. The mask had no powers within it, but the leader himself did. He raised his arm and said,"Put thy life on hold for all eternity and suffer for disobeying what I have commanded." After he did this, he tied me up in a rope and put me in a deep sleep by making me dizzy somehow. After I began to sleep I felt like I couldn't breathe and I thought I died, I have thought I was dead all this time, but it all has been a spell, a horrifying curse that managed to pause my living and Kapala Canyon's original state. It's weird but I'm very glad you managed to bring me back; back to where I am supposed to be. Thank you."

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 12

Back in time 500 years back, Zelda stared hopelessly. Without the ocarina of time in her possession, she began to lose hope. She had almost been in Ganon’s trap for a year. For that year, she had not a lot of food and almost starved even. However, Ganon who used the ocarina of time to kidnap himself and Zelda to go back in time, he didn’t really even know what he was really doing. The fact of the matter is, he had no idea how to go back to the present time. This however, wasn’t a concern for Ganon. Ganon had Zelda trapped in an underground pit beneath the ground, while he worked on other projects. Ganon has also managed to use some of his power from the Triforce of Power. With that, he has created a dark and massive castle of his own. He built it all by himself and the castle looked dark inside. This castle of his was much bigger than the one he had last time, much bigger indeed. It has 10 floors and 6 basements, along with a few secret passageways. It’s clear of why he’s been working on this castle, to keep Princess Zelda in it instead of the underground pit outside. The castle is really hidden behind a wall of mountains and a stream of water.
Back in the land of Kapala, at it’s high peak canyon, Link stood before the old lady he just broke free of a long and drastic curse. “I’m certain that you have some certain magic power or something? Not only can you change me, but you’ve brought me back for one thing. This land is no longer filled with evil, but peace thanks to you. I would like to go to Riko and pay them back for what they have done to me and this land. However, Riko is extremely dangerous to even speak of. Ages ago, a curious and anxious man went out to the land for some adventure. When he laid foot on the land, he immediately fell to the ground, and just died. Witnesses who saw the incident believe the land has some sort of curse, some say they believe the land is troubled by spirits. You are a true hero and I present to you my gratitude with the Golden Boomerang! With it, you can swing it and laser beams come out of all the other directions as well. I appreciate all you have done for me! Thank you!” Your very welcome, Link added.” Also, now you are off into a journey of truth and justice, you must head to Riko! Be careful!”

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 13

The trip to Riko was not far at all. Link had heard about Riko’s history, but wasn’t afraid. All of a sudden a voice came from a owl...It was Kaepora Gaebora! “Young fairy boy, you never stop exploring do you? After saving Hyrule, you just can’t rest now can you? If your going to Riko, I strongly advise you to go no further. Only one person has actually set foot there and as legends say, that person died instantly.” Link replied,”I must unravel the evil here, my goal is to save Zelda and capture Ganon. With Ganon’s power, he has trapped himself and Zelda in time 500 years ago. I haven’t a choice but to find a way there.” Kaepora Gaebora added,”Hey, what ever happened to that ocarina instrument you had, I’m pretty sure you could find a way to save her just with that tool....Oh, you don’t have that or even the Master Sword? Wow, I don’t know how you can manage to go on, you’ll be dead if you go any further up to Riko. If you must go, be extremely careful and good luck kid!”
Link stepped foot in Riko. But he wasn’t dead..or at least not yet. But he did fall and was being hit repeatedly by something. That something was a spirit in which he couldn’t see or sense it’s presence. Suddenly a voice came out of the spirit in which he could not see:
A young one has tested his courage
A fire lies ahead of him waiting to flame him
His power is as of nothing now
It seemed as the spirit was communicating with another group of spirits. Link had no idea of what was surrounding him. Ahh!!!!!!!!! Link was being attacked by the spirits with their fire! Link unveiled his trusty Master Sword and began taking action. The spirits continued to flame out fire and did they ever die? Actually they did, when Link used his Golden Boomerang and the laser of the boomerang sprung out. But Link wouldn’t be expecting what was next. It was the sun in the sky? No, it wasn’t, but it was a clone of the sun in the sky that the spirits had created. The sun was burning hot as well. The sun was near falling and Link took cover. Could Link stop a falling sun? Or would he burned to ashes with it’s extreme heat? The sun was now falling..Boom.........Boom......Boom..........! Link running as fast as he could, looked for a way out of this land. The way he came in...that disappeared. He couldn’t even see, everything began appearing foggy. The sun now bursted into not only trees that stood on the land, but hit the ground! Boom! Flames appeared everywhere and the entire land was starting to burn into flames. Link found safety inside of a hollow tree. Link then accidentally lost his grip on the branch he was holding onto and fell to the ground. Instead the ground beneath him lifted up and Link went down. He went down to a very bright underground pit. Suddenly, a voice came about, it was another spirit. Suddenly, he was visible in sight. It was a ghost or spirit of a man. The spirit began speaking,”Are you here actually? How can that be? Oh my, I am the first human being to come and I’m actually dead. My spirit remains here, and continues to be trapped in the darkness of this place. My name is Xero and I was formerly a salesman that came from Hyrule. Oh my, I have been so lonely and sad. I have been here for at least 200 years. I still haven’t come to understand this place, not even after I died. This place has something hidden in it or something. I came to look for the Triforce and here I am, alone and not living anymore. When I came here, I was attacked by something, and I died from the pain of the attack. I know now that the attack was from spirits. I can see them perfectly now for some reason, now that I’m just a spirit myself. I’m having a hard time figuring out how you managed to come here and your not dead?! Link replied,”I had spirits coming at me and I used a boomerang I had, then a sun fell to the ground.” A sun,” said the man. Oh, it was the sign of the spirits that lurk here. They wanted you to leave and you didn’t forcing them to express their anger and power. I only wish I knew who or how this place ended up being dreadfully cursed. In this pit though, after I died, I found a scroll and it read: “This place will become a wasteland of burning flames within 500 years. When the 500 years have passed, cast this spell for all who enter this place and beyond. At the end of the scroll is a name signed “Clone of the god of Riko. Apparently, it is clear however, the three gods, Nayru, Fahore, and Din created the world. However, the scroll continues and tells some information that appears to be wiped out, or at least it almost is. It says that the three gods lastly created 6 places of perfection. The three gods somehow met up with three other fellow gods who were clones of the other three. These clones fought the gods and set curses onto six lands. The three gods, Nayru, Din, and Fahore then destroyed the evil clones, but couldn’t break the curse of what the clones had set. Being clones, they obviously, had a lot of power and messed things up big time. The curse that the clones had set was as powerful as what the gods themself contain. The power of the curse could be broken but the gods couldn’t seem to figure how to break the curse. If it wasn’t for this scroll kid that I found down here, I would have no information to give, none. But luckly, with this I do, and it’s very valuable information. I know many wonder about what exactly happened to me. I am dead as believed. However, what I am now, my spirit, I am trapped and can’t escape this place. Within the curses that the clones set, each land has it’s own evil schemes. I can only think of one way to break the curse. A temple resides here and has always. When the gods built the lands, they created beautiful and astounding temples for all people to see except for the land of Kapala. But thanks to the clones, those golden dreams of seeing heavenly like places are no more. Go to the temple here, the Riko Temple, it’s right ahead about 1 mile. It’s extremely bright so you may want to be careful. If you stare into the light for too long, you could go blind. Go now!”

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 14

Upon Riko Temple, Link stared in wonder. His surroundings were dark.  This temple was underground beneath the depths of darkness. To the temple, he encountered lava everywhere. A pit of lava surrounded him.  This was the only way to get into the temple. Somehow he would have to cross this lava-burning wasteland without getting burned. Suddenly before him, a fairy appeared before him. It was Navi! "Link, it is I Navi! I overheard Impa and the King of Hyrule speaking about Princess Zelda missing. I then listened further and it had become to my attention that you had fled from Hyrule. I had to be your guide, I don't know if you can manage without my assistance. Yes, you're a hero of Hyrule, and your very brave and courageous. But I had no idea that you were in for something this deep and this dark. If I would have not been around Hyrule Castle to hear Impa and the King, I doubt I would have ever found you. Link looked to Navi and his mind was lost in another realm of the world it seemed like. "Link, there are things I need to let you know on.  Impa, the ancient Sheikah and Zelda's nanny, has gone mad over finding Zelda. Before I left to find you, Impa had become almost obsessed with finding Zelda. She brought out her white horse and then rode inside the Temple of Time with it. She tried to get the Master Sword out fo the Pedestal of Time, but she wasn't of the true heroism of Hyrule's blood-line as you were. With that in mind, she couldn't get the Master Sword out. See, just not anybody can use the Master Sword. The King then came in and calmed Impa. She has mentally, become crazy. You were destined to be the Hero of Time and you obtained that title. My point is that Impa isn't doing well. There's really nothing that can be done except to keep her calm and let her get some rest. Many years ago, the Deku Tree told me about ancient lands outside of Hyrule that are said to hold secrets and believed to hold treasures. I'm for the most part, ready to help you on this long and drastic journey through these dangerous and unknown places. Now, it is time for you and I to get across this lava wasteland and reach the temple of Riko. Are you ready?"

Zelda: Legacy of Time- Chapter 15

Riko Temple was very bright, bright enough that you could barely see anything. It was like a sun shining right on you and it’s light never fading at all. As Link and Navi entered they were blinded by a light. They noticed then that the light was not just there, someone or somebody was using their power to create a blinding light. It was a Gerudo named Nabooru, which Link and Navi knew when they first met her in the Spirit Temple. Has Nabooru gone mad now or is she just under a spell? She had to have been under a spell because she didn’t respond to Navi when she spoke to her. Link and Navi were losing their vision and looked away suddenly only to find a treasure chest unlocked. It is  a sword, a very different but powerful sword. It is called the Beaming Sword. It’s power is to reflect light back at objects. It’s similar to the Mirror Shield, except it has an additional feature, a super beam which with magic can create lightning beams when you hold the sword out. This indeed had to be the ultimate weapon. Link and Navi soon found a small paper that read:”Shine light back and create it’s ultimate power, lightning beams to use the sword to it’s maximum.” Strange it was, but the paper was true to it’s power. When you hold the sword out, it creates lightning and then after releasing the sword lightning beams shoot at four different directions all at once together. Meanwhile, Link stepped through a door that looked to be like the circle of the triforce. It was not the triforce inside the room though. It was only a painting. Next, Link and Navi took a walk down down 12 flights of stairs with poes coming out of each one. After reaching the very bottom of this room, Link found a door hidden beneath everything using the Lens of Truth. He and his guardian fairy entered...Inside was someone sitting restlessly. The person’s name was written on the wall....King Latooth. He then realized he had visitors before him. “Who are you? Who is this fairy? For one to come to the land of Riko has serious ambition and must be willing to meet the end of thy life. Are you? I am the King; King Latooth. I am commander in chief of this place for now and have been for 100 generations. All was good in this place until we had to chase off those Kapalans from Kapala. They wanted our land, they wanted to dominate and use our land to built a big castle and then had plans to be on top of the world. They say we wanted their land nowadays, but we didn’t, actually we did...we wanted....it was our land first....we stepped foot on....it. Now, as I am standing in this wicked place all of my soldiers have deceased and I have remained. I want to rule the world and this land and I will. I don’t care what the consequences are either. I have kidnapped a young woman that I found off the coast of this land. Is she thinks she can walk by this place and not get caught, she is not thinking right. And now you..and this fairy...what are you doing here? Actually, I’ve been watching you since you came and I must say your rather brave and courageous, but your time here is done...Begone!” King Latooth used his power by throwing bombs at Link and then freezing him up. Link with his Fire Arrow shot the King centered and he was stunned...”Ah!!! I’ll get you! Die forever!” He then was defeated and burned in flames. Nabooru! What have you been doing all this time, said Link. Nabooru, shooken up awoke. “Oh my, where...where am I? Oh, you the fairy boy and fairy, I remember you ages ago it seems like. What are you doing in a place like this? First of all, why am I here? You were under a curse Nabooru, replied Navi. Last I knew I was tired of the headquarters at the Spirit Temple I wanted to take a view at another part of the world outside of Hyrule. I was going fishing and I then was knocked off my boat and taken in by this strange person who wears a hood over his face. This guy is a monster! He killed people in Kapala years ago I found out and he was going to kill me for trying to enter his space, but decided to brainwash me. I’m so sorry for the blinding bright light. I apologize...please forgive me. Apparently he spoke to me and said all of these outside lands of Hyrule were created by an evil force that struck lifetimes ago. He said the gods fought with their own clones when Din, Fahore, and Nayru read the Book of Mudora. When the read the ancient book, for an odd reason, they all a sudden had a clone, though the clones were evil and even tried crushing the world into pieces. The gods used their power to seal the clones far away into another lifetime. Before vanishing, the clones cast a spell of evil on every one of these ancient lands leaving a dreadful curse forever. However, the gods couldn’t break the curses. It is you, Link, the Hero of Time, that can break the curses and return peace to all of these sacred and golden lands that were created by the gods in the beginning of life. I’ve also learned that every evil object or anything in all of the lands were made by the clones. I’ve said enough, thank you so much for saving me! I’ve had enough of trouble, I’m heading back to Hyrule right away!
So Link and Navi broke the curse on the land of Riko and peace was returned suddenly. A burning moon turned to a normal moon. Every ghost on the land was turned into a flower. The land had peace back and the land was turned gold. The temple was pure gold on the outside while the path around the land was red bricks. Another place was opened up that couldn’t be seen due to all the burning flames, it was the town, called Riko Town. It was beautiful and massive. At least a town of 10 buildings with people starting to reappear. The curse was lifted!
Link found the first house and talked with a strange lady,”Are you the one that returned peace here? I thank you on behalf of all of the villagers of Riko! A mean and menacing man named Latooth walked onto our land ages ago. He was looking to take over our land. He cast a spell to take our lives and pause them. We all have been living all of this time but not really nothing more than just being like a dead person or ghost.” Link walked and a child stopped,”Who are you? Your not the one that taken over our land are you? It is him, help!”
“Link as they call you...where are you from? ...I’m from Hyrule sir. Hyrule? I’ve heard of it but never have been there. Listen, I am Anam, I am a villager of this land. I know about the history of the world, the gods and everything, heh, heh. Listen, you are our only hope of rescuing the other lands and restoring them to their original states as the gods created them as. Please help me, I beg you!
