A long, long time ago, the world was in an age of chaos.  There was a
land called Hyrule, a legend called Zelda, an adventurer named Link, an
evil known as Ganon and the three Triforces, with power over them all.

Chapter 1: Flick; The Assassin

Deep within a shack in the Moruge Swamp, a young man, who was about 15
years old was cowering in fear.  He wanted to run away and see a great
peace conference involving the many kingdoms of Deimari in Hyrule's
North Castle, without permission, but his plans were upbraided by a
young woman, who was about 17 years old.  Though she was wearing a red,
yellow, brown and white colored mask, he knew who this girl was in an
instant.

Man: Oh, no...not you...ANYONE BUT YOU!  You're Flick...THE ASSASSIN!!

Flick: I'm flattered that you've heard of me...but then, I've been in
Calatia, Hyrule, Labrynna, 'Olodrum, Subrosia, Moldera and Arcadia, just
to name a few kingdoms. 

Man: P..p...p...please...don't kill me. 

Flick smiled at him with a smirk.  She then told him that she wasn't
going to kill him...merely persuade him to go home.

Flick: Yer fortunate, my friend...I wasn't sent here to kill ya...yer
mum's worried sick about you.  She wants ya to go home, pronto!

Man: B..b...b...but I'll be grounded for a month!!  She'll be SO MAD at
me for going to see the peace conference at the North Castle WITHOUT
PERMISSION!!

Flick: You'll get over it.

The man, in fear that Flick will kill him, picked up a pitchfork and
pointed it at her.  Flick was disgusted with his obvious lack of
fighting skills and used her knives to chop it to pieces.

Man: St...st...st..stay back... (holds a pitchfork, really, really
scared)

Flick: Fighting is the way of a true warrior.  Those who don't have the
warriors' instincts cannot call themselves warriors.  They are the
common men and women of this land...and I see yer one of them  (pulls
out two knives from a magic pouch, and chops the pitchfork to pieces)
Now, don't try me patience...okay?! 

Man: Y....y...yes ma'mm.

Flick then put one of her knives away, and used the other to cut her own
hand.

Flick: Let me teach ya about why ya should fear me.  (puts away one
knife, and uses another to cut her own hand) I...fear...NOTHIN!!  GOT
IT?!

Man: Yes, ma'mm.

Flick then found a torch which the young man used to find his way
through the swamp.  She used it to burn the shack down.  She then shooed
him off like a dog.  He ran very fast.   

Flick: (uses the torch the man used, and lights the shack on fire)
Now...get outta here, before I change me mind, and decide to kill ya.
ALRIGHT, MATE?!

Man: Yes, ma'mm.  (runs away like lightning)

Flick: AND DON'T CALL ME MA'MM!!

As the 15 year old man went out of sight, another figure stepped in.  He
was the mace-wielding Onox, General of Darkness. 

Onox: That was most impressive, young Flick.  But aren't you afraid this
act of mercy might ruin your reputation as an assassin?

Flick: Absolutely not.  Not only am I an assassin, but I'm also a bounty
hunter, as well.  I don't care about what the job's requirements are, as
long as I get paid.  Now, who are ya?

Onox: I am Onox, General of Darkness.  I have been sent by a person who
is more than impressed with your work. 

Flick seemed interested at what Onox was offering, at first.  But, when
he mentioned the job was from Ganon, something in her snapped, and she
refused.

Flick: Yeah?  Who sent ya? 

Onox: Why, Ganon...the Evil King, of course.  He wants you to go kill a
certain adventurer and hero known as Link for him. 

Flick: Is that so?!

Onox: Yeah.  So, what's your answer?

Flick: Me answer...is...NEVER!!  I will never do any work for yer
master!   

This response enraged Onox, who then began attacking with his mighty
mace. 

Onox: FOOL!  You dare refuse the all-powerful Ganon?!  For that you will
die!! HYAH!  (swings his mace at her)

Flick, who was known for a lot of things, including her superhuman
speed, agility, and other extraordinary attributes, outran the mace with
ease.  She then threw a knife at Onox's breastplate.  It penetrated it
with ease.

Flick: (dodges the mace) HAH!  I'll teach ya a lesson you'll never
forget...in the afterlife!  I'm gonna take you down!  (throws a knife
into Onox's breatplate)

Onox: UUNGGHH!  (sees the knife penetrate his armor) Im...impossible!
Nobody has ever been able to penetrate my armor!  It was forged from the
strongest metals in the Dark Realm!  (of course...the Master Sword,
which was wielded by Link II, was able to cut through it like a hot
knife through butter.  Speaking of knives...that hurts!  SHE'S DEAD!!)

Flick: Well, guess what?!  Yer armor isn't as strong as ya thought it
was.

Onox, who was bleeding a bit, took the dagger out of his chest.  He
then, in a bout of rage, revealed his true form...that of a Dark Dragon.

Onox: (takes the knife out of his chest) Not bad.  Maybe you do live up
to your reputation, after all.  But, you're still a mere girl...who can
never stand up to my true might!  (transforms into a Dark Dragon) I was
sent here from the Dark Realm by Twinrova!  Now, feel the might of A
DARK DRAGON!!  PREPARE TO DIE!!!  RRRAAAARRRR!!!  (claws at Flick)

Onox started his attack by trying to claw Flick, who dodged it nimbly.
He then tried to breathe two different fireballs at her.  But, he
couldn't hit her even once.  She then noticed something about the jewel
on his forehead.

Flick: (dodged the attack) HA!  Ya missed again!  Yer really slow, Onox!

Onox: Oh, yeah?!  Try these on for size!!  (breathes types of fireballs
at Flick)

Flick: (dodges the fireballs with ease, and thinks to herself)
Hmmm...each time he's about to attack, the jewel on his forehead
glows...OF COURSE!  That's his weak point!  Now, he's going down!!

Meanwhile, in the depths of Death Mountain, Ganon was watching.  He was
impressed with Flick's abilities.  At the same time, he was ticked off
with Onox's shoddy attacks.  He knew he would have to pull him out of
the battle before he dies, and send him back to the Evil Jar to
rejuvenate.

Ganon: Geh heh heh.  So, Flick is living up to her reputation as the
greatest assassin in all Deimari.  I'm impressed.  On the other hand,
that idiot, Onox isn't doing so well.  I'd better send him back to the
Evil Jar before he dies at her hands.

Back in the Moruge Swamp, Flick picks up the bloodstained knife which
had blood from both her hand and Onox's chest.  She then threw it
straight for the jewel in Onox's forehead.  It completely shattered upon
impact.  He then fell down to the ground with a thud.

Flick: I'm afraid yer not goin to make it past me! (picks up her knife)
TAKE THIS!  HYAH!! (throws the knife at the jewel on Onox's
forehead...which shatters)

Onox: NOOO!!!!  (falls to the ground, hard)  Not again...I'm dying all
over again.

Flick: Again?  What do ya mean?!

Onox:  Several centuries ago...there was a young warrior who managed to
vanquish me by repeatedly slashing at this very jewel on my forehead as
I attacked him...he was the Legendary Hero of Hyrule...his name...was
Link II.

Flick: Link II?  As in this Link fella ya wanted me to ice for yer
wicked master?!

Onox: Yes...the Link who Ganon wanted you to kill...is Link III...the
descendant of Link II.  Link I, his distant ancestor, was the Hero of
Time.  My master has always had a grudge against the family of the hero.

Flick: Is that so?!

Onox: Yes...you may have vanquished me this time...but I'll be
waiting...to haunt you, Flick!  My master will make you pay for your
decision with your life!! 

As Onox spoke, Ganon called him back into the Evil Jar.

Ganon: Onox...I command you...return to the Evil Jar!!

Onox, then muttered that he will one day return. As he died, his body
disappeared, and he was brought back to life by the power of the Evil
Jar.

Onox: One day, Flick...I will return!  Farewell...for now!  Gwah ha ha
ha ha hah!!  (dies, then diseappears)

Flick, who watched Onox disappear, was a bit miffed about Ganon's
minions always being sent back to the Evil Jar, when they are defeated.
She then thought about the horrible things the Evil King did to her, and
to her parents.

Flick: Stinkin Evil Jar!  Because of it, I can never enjoy the victories
over Ganon's monsters!!  (I'll never forget what he did...years ago, he
performed the Dark Rites and sacrificed the bodies of my mother and
father...their bodies were made into the vessels for Agahnim and
Twinrova.  The instant that happened, the souls of my parents were sent
to the spirit world, never to return!  He then tortured me, and sent me
into the prison in the Gargoyle's Domain, whenever I tried to escape!)
Ganon, I will never forgive ya for what you've done...ya hear me?!
NEVER!!

Ganon, who watched as Onox returned to the Evil Jar, ranted at him for
his failure.

Ganon: You idiot!  You let Flick overpower you!  How did she discover
your secret weakness?!

Onox: I don't know, master.  Maybe she saw the jewel in my forehead glow
when I used my fireballs.

Ganon: That explains it.  I mustn't concern myself with this, now.  Stay
there until you regain your strength...GOT IT?!

Onox: Yes, sir.   

Ganon then called for Veran and Dark Leigh, who emerged from the Evil
Jar.

Ganon: Veran, Dark Leigh, come forth!!

Veran: (emerges from the Evil Jar) Yes, Master Ganon?

Dark Leigh: What is your desire, my lord?

Ganon: I want you two to dismantle the peace conference at North Castle.
Leigh is attending as the advisor for Arcadia's Queen Alainia.  And,
Queen Ambi II of Labrynna will be there, as well.

Veran: Ahhh...so, you want me to possess Ambi II, who might have a
measure of the power her great-great-great-great-great grandmother Nayru
has, correct?

Ganon: Yes.

Dark Leigh: And, you want me to take Leigh's place, and cause some
havoc?

Ganon: Exactly.  Now go, and make sure the peace confrence fails.  I
will triumph, this time!  Geh heh heh ha ha ha ha ha ha he he he ho ho
ho...AH HA HA HA HA HA HEH HEH HEH HEH!!

Meanwhile, as Dark Leigh and Veran set off for North Castle, back at
Moruge Swamp, Balayna Anacreon, who in reality is Nabooru, Sage of
Spirit, was watching Flick from an overhead cliff.  She had suspicions
about the assassin.

Balayna: (to herself) Hmmm...this girl's fighting style is definitely a
Gerudo Warrior's technique.  I wonder...could she be my descendant,
Avanna, who disappeared for five years?  I don't know.  One thing is
certain, I need Link and Zelda to help me in this.  I must give Avanna
the message her parents gave to me, as well as her mother's scimitar.
At the same time, I'll need them to keep an eye on Flick.  I hope and
pray she's the one I've been looking for. 

As Balayna walked away, and headed towards the North Castle, several
mysteries are being pondered.  Who is the mysterious Flick behind the
mask?  What were the names of her parents?  Could she be the girl
Nabooru is looking for?  Also, will Link and Zelda be able to put up
with Flick, if they meet?  Can they stop Ganon's latest plot to
dismantle the peace conference?  Find out in the next chapter of
"Flick's Revenge!"

A couple of hours later, in the North Castle, the kings and Queens of
Demiari were meeting to attend the big peace conference.  Queen Seline
of Calatia, was one of those present.  Other notable guests were Queen
Ambi II of Labrynna, Queen Alainia and Prince Facade of Arcadia, who
were accompanied by Leigh, the Avatar, and descendant of Saria, Sage of
the Forest.  Lord Richard and Queen Nell of Sosaria were there.  (some
people think Sosaria was named after Saria.  But, it really wasn't.)
Even Queen Melisade of Daisona was there.  (her husband was elsewhere,
hunting)  Yes, these, along with other rulers were among the notable
monarchs who were attending the peace conference. Even Governess Anita
of Moldera was there.  In the background, brought to the conference
against her will, Mara Hespera was dragged to North Castle by her
parents who thought she needed a change of pace from black magic and
evil sorcery. 

Mara: I don't want to see a dumb peace conference, mother!  I'd rather
cause chaos throughout Demiari!!

Mara's mother: Now, now, Mara...We can't have you running about, causing
trouble for the good people of this continent.  I want you to be a good
girl...FOR ONCE.  Please, Mara?

Mara: (disgusted) Yes, mother. 

Mara's mother: And while you're at it, why don't you stop practising
black magic for awhile, and learn to be a healer, like we ORIGINALLY
wanted you too?  You've broken my heart, as well as your father's.  You
know that?

Mara: Yes, mother.  (UGH!  Ganon better have a plan to ruin this peace
conference, and soon!  I think it would be more fun with a little chaos.
I would especially like to see my great heroine, Veran, in action, once
again.  I hope she possesses Queen Ambi II's sorry butt and sends this
boring conference down the tubes!!)

Little did Mara know, she was about to get her wish.  Meanwhile, in a
house in the Hyrule Castle Town, Flick was getting paid by the mother of
the young man she shooed off. The mother paid her with 4 gold rupees.
(1 gold rupee = 200 rupees)  As for the young man, he was getting his
ear pulled on by his mother, who paid the assassin/bounty hunter in
full. 

Mother: Thank you for getting my foolish son back here alive, Flick.  He
has a lot to learn about responsibility.  (pays Flick with 4 gold
rupees)

Flick: It was nothin, ma'mm.  I take on any job I want...and refuse
those which don't suit me tastes.  This one felt like a worthy
challenge, though.  Though it wasn't like me usual jobs, where I kill a
person, I do enjoy gettin paid, nontheless.

Man: Easy for you to say, Flick.  You're not the one who's on the short
end of the stick.

Mother: Hush now.  That's being rude to our guest.  I am tempted to
ground you for a month, you know.  Pulling a stunt like that...going on
to the peace conference without permission!  (tugs on her son's ear)

Man: Ow ow ow!  Cut it out, mom!  That hurts!!

Mother: Well, you nearly broke my heart when you when on your own
without adult supervision.  But....despite what you did...I'll let you
go to the peace conference...ON ONE CONDITION!!

Man: Really?  I'll do anything, mother...ANYTHING!!

Mother: Alright...If I let you go, you have to be accompanied by
me...and after we get home, you have to clean the floors of the house
for a month. 

Man: Alright...I'll do as you say, mother.

Flick was a little amused with this little turn of events, and decided
to go to her next job...being Queen Ambi II's personal bodyguard.

Flick: (This is sure funny...well, a little.  I'd better go before I
laugh out loud.  After all, I don't want to be off my guard, in case
Ganon has any evil schemes up his sleeve.)  Well, I hate to spoil such a
tender moment, but I have ta go.  Me next job is waitin on me.  I gotta
go to the peace conference and make sure Queen Ambi II isn't attacked by
her enemies. 

Mother: Thank you, Flick.  Goodbye, and good luck.

Flick: Thanks.  And good luck to ya, too. 

And so, Flick went of to the North Castle, where her next job awaits.
Meanwhile, Link and Zelda, along with Miff, Sprite, Impa and King
Harkinian, were talking with the guests.  Zelda was dressed in formal
attire, and so was Link...sort of.  He was wearing the same ridiculous
outift he wore when he tried to act like a prince in front of Prince
Facade, who was among the guests.  Queen Seline of Calatia was
supressing laughter at how silly Link, native of her homeland, and hero
of Hyrule looked.  Zelda, who had finally acknowledged that Seline was
her mother, totally agreed with her.

Zelda: Are you sure you should be out in public...in that dorky-looking
outfit?

Link: Of course, Zelda.  I'll do anything to impress you.  (whispers)
Besides...that jerk, Prince Facade is here, and I want to show him who's
the better man.

Zelda: (whispers) Alright, you can mingle with the people in that dumb
getup...but don't blame me, when one or all of the delegates laugh at
you.

Link: Relax, Zelda.  I've got it covered.  I seranaded you in a similar
outfit, didn't I?

Zelda: Aww...don't remind me of that time!  You need singing
lessons...BIG TIME!!  And besides, wasn't that also the time Bagu's
frogs were held for ransom by Ganon, and he was forced to steal a piece
of the Triforce of Wisdom?

Link: But that was...I mean...when Bagu retireved the Triforce piece and
the frogs...he went straight to the Castle...leaving me in the dust! 

Seline: (supresses laughter) Forgive me, Link.  But seeing you in that
atrocious outfit, and hearing about such a ridiculous misadventure you
had seems to be funny.

Link: (with his jaw wide open, in disbelief) But, your majesty....

Zelda: (smugly smiles) I told you so.  Even my mother agrees.   

Link: Well excccuuuussse me, Princess.  It was THE ONLY THING I could
FIND to wear on such short notice!!

Miff: Ha ha ha!  Boy, do you look stupid, Link!  You look like the court
jester!

Link: Butt out, Miff!!

Just then, Queen Ambi II, walked up to Link  and Zelda, noticing
something strange about two of her guards.

Ambi II: Um, excuse me...but you are the descendants of the Legendary
Hero and the young queen who was also one of the seven maidens, are you
not?

Link: Ummm...yeah.

Zelda: That would be us.

Ambi II: I seemed to have noticed something strange about two of my
guards, who are part of my entourage.

Zelda: Like what?

Ambi: Well, for one thing...the one with red hair and green eyes has
sort of a striking resemblance with me.  We even have similar eyebrows.

The first guard, upon hearing this, hid his hair deep in the helmet, too
embarrassed to tell Ambi II the truth.

Guard 1: Uh oh.  (pulls his helmet down, and speaks to himself) Aw,
great...why'd you have to embarrass me, great-great-great-great-great
granddaughter?

Link: I see...and the other?

Ambi II: The other one looks obviously feminine.  She also has blue
hair, and blue eyes.

The other guard, who heard what Queen Ambi II said, pulled her helmet
down as well, and tried to make her voice as deep as womanly possible.

Guard 2: (pulls her helmet down, and tries her best to imitate a man's
voice) Me?  A woman?  No, your majesty.  There are no women soldiers
here.  (Oh, brother!  Link III, Zelda IV and Ambi II are going to find
out who Ralph and I are at any second...this is humiliating.)

Sure enough, after Ambi II compared the features of the two guards with
pictures of Ralph, descendant of the original Queen Ambi, and his wife,
Nayru, Oracle of Ages,  their covers were blown.

Link: You know, they do look kind peculiar.  In fact...one of them looks
very familiar.

Ambi: Yes.  If I didn't know any better, I swear the first guard looks
exactly like Ralph, the great-great-great-great-great-great grandson of
Queen Ambi I, my ancestor.

Zelda: You don't say?

Ambi II: Mmm hmm.  Also, the other guard really reminds me of Nayru, the
Oracle of Ages.  She married Ralph, after Ganon was thwarted a second
time, by the Legendary Hero.

Link: How do you know all this. Queen Ambi?

Ambi: Well...one thing, it says so in the family records...and
another...I've seen pictures of both of them in the royal gallery.

Guard 1: Uh oh...

Guard 2: Busted.

Zelda: Nayru?

Link: And...Ralph?  Nayru I've met, but Ralph, I don't know.

Sure enough, the two "guards" took off their helmets, revealing Nayru
and Ralph. 

Nayru: (takes off helmet) Yep...you've got us dead to rights.

Ralph: (takes off helmet) Might as well drop the charade. 

Link asked the two of them what they were doing here.

Link: What are you guys doing here?

Nayru: Well, we want to protect Ambi II, our
great-great-great-great-great granddaughter from Veran, Sorceress of
Shadows.

Ralph: Nayru sensed Ambi II had the same powers as she does, although
latent.  Veran probably knows that, too.

Ambi II: Well, none of you should worry about Veran. 

Zelda: Why not?

Ambi II: Because my bodyguard has arrived.

Sure enough, as Ambi II spoke, Flick, the assassin had just made her
entrance.  Link was a bit surprised to see that an assassin as feared as
Flick would be hired as a bodyguard.

Zelda: (looks at Flick) FLICK....the ASSASSIN is YOUR BODYGUARD, Queen
Ambi?

Flick: That's right.  Got a problem with that? (Hmph...almost everyone
in here is slime...including myself.  Ganon has seen to it that I've
become as reviled, and a slimy as possible.  This mask will forever be a
mark of my shame...unless I can do something about it)

Link: I do.  Who, in their right mind, would hire an assassin AS DEADLY,
and AS CRAZY as FLICK?!  She's a bloody psycho, for crying out loud!!

Flick then answered him with a riddle which Link couldn't get the
meaning of.

Flick: Sanity is in the eyes of society, who can really say what is
madness?  Perhaps YOU are all crazy and I am the only sane one.

Link: (thinks for a minute) Ummm....I don't get it.

Zelda: (whispers to Link) Bad answer, Link.

Link: Why?

Flick considered Link was an idiot at that point.  She then pulled out
her knife and slashed him on the chest...not enough to kill him, or scar
him...but just enough to make a nasty gash for a week.

Flick: Ya know what?  For Hyrule's greatest hero, yer really an idiot!
(slashes at Link's chest)

Link: OUCH!  Watch what you're doing, kid! 

Flick: I'm not a kid...I'm 17 years old! 

Zelda: That's why. 

As Flick and Link argued, Balayna had finally arrived in the North
Castle's premesis.  Link and Zelda were surprised to find her here.

Balayna: Link, Zelda...I'm sorry to barge in, but I need your help.

Zelda called Balayna by her true name, and she acknowledged them both as
her true self.

Zelda: Nabooru! 

Link: What are you doing here?

Balayna: I need you to help me find someone who's been missing for the
last five years.  Her name is Avanna, and I need to find her,
desperately.

Nayru: Why do you want to find her so badly, Nabooru?

Ralph: Yeah...and why didn't you come with us, in these "clever
disguises" that Kylara gave us?

Link: KYLARA made you wear those getups?

Nayru: Yep.

Link: She must've had some crazy plan to get you guys in. (laughs)

Nayru & Ralph: (blush) Aw, shucks..stop it, Link.

Ralph: Can you PLEASE explain to us what's going on, Nabooru?

Balayna: Well...you see...(sees Veran) Uh oh..

Before Balayna, also known as Nabooru could answer her friends, Link and
Zelda along with Nayru and Ralph, her allies from the Sacred Realm,
their chat was disrupted by the appearance of a purple flame with evil
eyes, and the sudden change in Leigh's behavior...(and clothing)  Mara
Hespera knew what was going on, and cheered Veran on.

Mara: WHOO HOO!!  Veran!  Veran!  She's my gal!  If she can't do it, no
one shall!!  YAAAYYY VERAN!!

Veran: (sees Mara, and winks) Thank you, my dearest fan, and fellow evil
sorceress,

Mara: You're welcome.  Now, TRASH THIS BORING CONFERENCE!!

Mara's mother: Will you stop?!

Mara: (disgusted) Yes, mother. (It's about time, Ganon.  Thank you for
sending my heroine here.  This will be a peace conference to remember,
AFTER ALL!!)

Flick then made a comment on how bad the situation was.

Flick: This doesn't look good.  This doesn't look good at all.  The
Peace Conference is officially down the tubes.

Was Flick right?  And, will Veran and Dark Leigh succeed in dismantling
the peace conference?  Will Prince Facade blow it again?  Also, where is
the mysterious Avanna, and what is her connection with Nabooru?  Even
deeper, what is Flick's true identity?  The answers and more will be
discovered as this story continues!

The delegates who attended the peace conference, who kept quiet about
Flick, finally began a commotion, when Veran arrived. 

Nell: Oh, my goodness!  She's here!!

Anita: It's Veran!  The Sorceress of Shadows!!

Alainia: We have to get out of here, right now!!

But, as they tried to escape, Dark Leigh encased the delegates in a
force field.

Dark Leigh: You're not going ANYWHERE!! (uses her powers to trap the
delegates in a force field)

Alaina; What is the meaning of this, Leigh?!  Why did you do this to
us?!

As Queen Alainia demanded what was going on, Dark Leigh answered her,
thus revealing who she truly was to the queen of Arcadia.

Dark Leigh: I'm just following Master Ganon's orders, Queen Alania of
Arcadia.  He wants me and Veran to dismantle the peace conference.

Alainia: Of course!  You're Dark Leigh, aren't you?!  Leigh told me all
about you, when she had completed her adventure in Hyrule.   

Dark Leigh: I'm flattered that you've heard of me.  I guess, the job
will be easier, this way.  Now...where is my good-two-shoes
counterpart?

Alainia: Last I heard, she was freshening up.

Dark Leigh: I see.  She's always been a smidge vain.  I'll bet she's
putting on her face.  No matter.  I'll wait.  She'll show up, sooner or
later.

Sure enough, at Leigh's guest quarters, the Avatar of Arcadia was
freshening up.  She was using a mud pack to enhance her beauty, 

Leigh: Mmmm.  This is so refreshing.  I love how it cleanses the pores.
I'll bet, if Link saw me now, he'd think I was a monster.  (giggles)
He's so silly at times.

Just then, Leigh heard the sounds of commotion and  had a bad feeling
Dark Leigh was involved.

Leigh: (hears voices from down the hallway) Uh oh...sounds like there's
trouble down there.  I'll bet Dark Leigh is involved.  If she is, I'm
going to clean her clock!!

Leigh left her room in such a rush, she totally forgot to wash the mud
mask off.  Meanwhile, in the chamber where the delegates are, there were
a few people who were not encased in a force field.  They were, Link,
Zelda, Miff, Sprite, Prince Facade, Nayru, Ralph, Ambi II, Captiain
Krin, his guards, Ambi II's knights, Balayna, and Flick the Assassin.

Link: We have to do something!

Zelda: I know, Link.  Somehow, we must stop Veran from possessing Ambi
II!

Veran: HAH!  Do what you will, but I must warn you, no one has EVER
stopped me from possessing a person before! 

Link, trying to stop Veran, lunged at her, but went riight through her.
Since she was in her flame form, she couldn't be touched.  As Link fell
on his chest, she went inside Ambi II, thus gaining control of her.

Link: Well, there's going to be a first time!!  YAH! ! (lunges at Veran,
only to fall on his chest) OUCH!!  That hurt!  Why didn't I stop you?!

Veran: This is my non-corporeal form!  It is in this form that I am able
to possess people!  Watch!  (goes into Ambi II)

Ambi II: NNNNNNOOOOO!!!!

As always, it was too late.  Veran had once again possessed her
target...who was Queen Ambi II.

Nayru: It's happened again, Ralph!  Once again, Veran has possessed the
one she wants to take over!!

Ralph: I know, honey!  She's got a hold of our great, great, great,
great, great granddaughter!!  There must be something we can do!!

Flick: (to herself)  This is more like it.  Finally, I'll get to see
some action!  I'll probably get to do what I do best...fight to the
death! 

Possessed Ambi II: This is magnificent!  I am certain that with my
powers, I can unlock Ambi II's hidden potential! 

Krin: You're not going anyhere, Veran!  I order you to leave Ambi II's
body, at once! 

Possessed Ambi II: You order ME?  HA!  I think it's time to take out the
trash!!

Veran uses her powers to blow Captain Krin and his guards away. Zelda,
who felt this was time for action, told Link to take off the dumb outfit
he wore.  He totally agreed, and took the suit off, and tripped as he
done so. 

Krin: We're being overwhelmed!  FALL BACK!!

Zelda: Link, I think it would be the right time to take that outfit off,
and stop Veran, don't you agree, Link?

Link: I sure do!  HERO TIME!  (takes off the outfit, trips, and falls)
OOPH!  I'm glad I'm taking this thing off!

Prince Facade: Oh my.  You do seem to be quite the buffoon, Link.

Miff: Prince Facade is right.  You sure are a buffoon, Link.  I
mean...who else would take the risk of enraging Flick?  Nobody but you.

Link: That's enough, you two!!

Sprite: YEAH!  Stop treating Link like dirt!!

Miff: Speak for yourself, blockhead-sympathizer!

As Miff and Sprite argued, Veran, who was in Ambi II's body, ordered the
knights to attack.  But, a majority of them were afraid to fight Flick,
for fear of their lives.

Possessed Ambi II: Guards!  I order you to attack these people, at once!

Knights: Are you crazy?!  That's Flick the Assassin, we're dealing with!
She'll kill us!

Possessed Ambi II: I see,  Well, I'll give you a choice.  Either you
attack them, or I'll turn you to stone.

Knights: FORGET IT!  We're outta here!  There's no way we're going to
get killed by Flick, or be turned to stone!  SEE YA!!

As most of the knights ran off, Flick was disgusted with their
cowardice.

Flick: Cowardice is what shames people.  It makes most men and women
paralyzed with their own worst fears.  Those who wish to be warriors,
must be able to overcome their fear.

Link: I get this one.  Those who have courage, can overcome what he or
she is most afraid of.

Flick: Yer learning, Link.  I guess yer not such an idiot, after all.

Link: Thanks...I think.

The guard who remained decided to fight, to honor queen and country, and
those who written the oath for the knights.  His name was Simon.

Possessed Ambi II: Well, since you're the only one left, what is your
decision, Simon?

Simon: I know that fighting Flick, is to meet with certain death.  But
if it is what I must do, so be it.  Know now, that I'm not doing this
for you, you evil witch.  This, I do to honor my queen, my kingdom,
Nayru and Ralph, who wrote the oath of the knights which I live by, and
for my wife and child! 

Possessed Ambi II: You're willing to sacrifice your life for those you
care about?  I don't...understand.

Simon's words brought tears to Ambi II's eyes.  She was able to
temporarily overcome Veran's control and say farewell.  As she bid the
brave knight goodbye, Veran regained control.

Ambi II: (temporarily breaks free of Veran's hold) Simon, you've always
been the bravest of my knights.  I will see to it that you get a decent
burial.  Farewell, brave Simon.  I'll never forget you.  AAAHHH!!!  (is
back in Veran's control)

Simon: Farewell, my queen.  I'll never forget you, either.

Flick: So, you wish ta fight Flick, eh?  Very well.  Ya have one chance
to live.  If ya beat me, you'll get out of this alive.  If I beat ya,
however, you'll die.  Do ya understand?

Simon: I understand.  Perhaps death is terrifying.  But to live and do
nothing just isn't me!  Then it means nothing!  I will fight you, and
honor the oath which  Ralph created for the knights of Labrynna!!

Nayru: That man is so brave.  He's ready to die, for queen and country.
He's like you, in a way, my love.

Ralph: I know, pumpkin.  But, at times like this, I wish I didn't write
down the words I said, as I challenged Veran in the Black Tower.

Nayru: Don't be ridiculous!  Those words you said, were spoken from the
heart.  You did a great service for the Knights of Labrynna by writing
down those words of wisdom.  I'm proud of you for it.

Ralph: Awww...thanks, Nayru.  I guess...it was the right thing to do,
after all.

And so, the battle began.  Flick and Simon fought bravely, and for
awhile, both were evenly matched.

Flick: Yer really good!  Yer a capable fighter...more than most!  Yer
almost as good as me!

Simon: I do not know that.  What I do know is that I will do my best.
Now, is it true you'll send my body back to my family, after you kill
me?

Flick: What you've heard is true, mate.  I'm a woman of me word! 

As they spoke, Flick finally overpowered Simon.  After using her knives
to torture him, she got his last request from him.  Some people were
afraid to watch, while others weren't.  Among those who were afraid to
watch was Prince Facade.  In fact...he threw up.

Flick: (defeats Simon) Looks like ya lose, Simon.  Do ya know what I'm
gonna do, next?

Simon: You're going to torture me, to get my final request, aren't you?
If so, do as you wish. 
Flick: You got that right.  (gets out her knives, and slashes Simon on
both legs, hands, arms, the chest, and the face)

Link: She's brutal!  No wonder she's the most feared assassin of all
Demiari. 

Prince Facade: Yes...this is most upsetting.  I cannot watch...this is
making me sick to my stomach. (throws up)

Nayru: I don't know about you, Prince Facade, but I feel I have to watch
this man's noble sacrifice. 

Ralph: Nayru is right.  This man will die honorably...that's the best
way for a true knight of Labrynna to die.

Zelda: I'm glad you decided to watch, Link.  This man is ready to face
his own death.  He'll go down as a true hero.

Link: If you say so...I still think Flick's brutal.

Balayna: Maybe so, but she's a good fighter.  (Amazing! She IS an expert
in the art of a Gerudo warrior's fighting.  I don't know if she's the
one I'm looking for, but I'm hopeful.)

After Flick tortured him, it was time for Simon to make his final
request.

Flick: Well...now that I've skinned ya a bit, what is yer final request?

Simon: I want you to destroy Veran...and free her majesty, at any cost.
This is so much like what happened to the original Queen Ambi, several
centuries ago.  Please...save the queen...and kill the Sorceress of
Shadows...in any way possible 

Flick: I'll do just that.  As promised, I'll have yer body sent to yer
family.  Goodbye, Simon...you were a great warrior...I WILL miss you.
(stabs him in the heart)

As Simon made his final request, Flick swore to honor it, and stabbed
him in the heart.  After saying a final farewell, Simon breathed his
last.

Simon: Unnghhh!  Farewell, Flick.  (coughs up blood) It was...an
honor...to be bested by one as superior as you.  You're a true warrior,
Flick.  Good...bye.  (dies)

Possessed Ambi II: Hmph!  I thought he'd never kick the bucket!  Good
riddance to bad rubbish!

Ambi II, once again regained control, calling telling Veran she knows
nothing about honor.  Veran responded by making her hold on her
stronger.

Ambi II: (snaps out of it) You fiend...you have no idea what honor is.
Simon was the noblest, and bravest of my knights.  Don't ever speak that
way about him, again!!

Veran: I'll do whatever I want, while I'm inside your body! 

Ambi II:  UUUNNNGGGHHH!!! (is back in Veran's grasp)

Possessed Ambi II:  Soon, I will be able to stop time!  I'm certain that
Ambi's power is equal to her great great great great great grandmother's
power, if not greater.

As Simon died, Link again commented on Flick, saying she was a heartless
murderer.  Zelda disagreed.

Link: Did you see that...she killed him!  Flick's nothing but a
heartless, cold-blooded murderer!!

Zelda: No, Link...you're wrong about Flick.  She's  a warrior...in the
truest sense.  If she wasn't, she wouldn't have given Simon one fair
chance to live.  They fought, and he lost.  He died in FAIR COMBAT,
Link.  (Something about Flick reminds me of the Gerudo.  I don't know
why, though.

Flick: She's right, Link.  I AM a warrior!  (slashes Link on the arm)
Get with it!  (That girl, Zelda, show great strength..no!  What am I
saying?  That's a sign of weakness.  Mustn't give in!)

Link: OWIE!!  That hurts!!

Miff: That's strike two, Link.

Flick: Butt out, ya dumb fairy!  (swats at her)

Miff: Watch it!!

Zelda: Miff is my fairy, Flick!  She's not dumb!!

Flick: Whatever.

Meanwhile, back in Death Mountain, Ganon had watched Flick kill Simon.
He was getting bored, and needed a good laugh.

Ganon: Ho hum...this is too boring.  Flick killed Simon, easily enough,
but it wasn't enough to interest me.  What I need is a good laugh.  And
I know just how to get it.

Ganon turns to Evil Zelda, who emerges from the Evil Jar, in the exact
same dress Zelda is in...only it was black.

Ganon: Evil Zelda...come forth!!

Evil Zelda: (appears) Yes, Master Ganon?

Ganon I want you to go to the Peace Conference in the North Castle.
I've got no doubt in my mind that Dark Leigh may need a little help,
whenever she encounters the real Avatar. 

Evil Zelda: Got it.  I love parties...especially when I crash them!!

Ganon: Good!  NOW GO!  And do your best to make Link and Prince Facade
look like fools!!

Evil Zelda: Yes, sir! 

As Ganon teleports Evil Zelda to the North Castle, he laughed a bit,
knowing what the outcome will be.  At the same time, he felt that there
was something familiar about Flick.

Ganon: Ha ha hah!!  With any luck, she, Zelda, Dark Leigh and Leigh will
fall into a mudhole!  Link will have to do the kissing contest, and
Prince Facade might be forced to join the fun!!  Geh heh heh ha ha ha he
he he ho ho...AH HA HA HA HA HEH HEH HEH!!  But...I am deeply
concerned...Flick reminds me of someone I know, someone who escaped my
grasp...but who?  No matter.  I will learn that soon enough.

Is Ganon right?  Is he on the verge of discovering who Flick truly is
under the mask?  And, what will be the fate of Queen Ambi II?  Will
Flick kill her, in order to stop Veran?  Or, will Link manage to save
her?  Also, do Dark Leigh and Evil Zelda know what's in store for them?
Will they, along with their good counterparts, play in the mud again?
Speaking of mud, how will Link react when he sees Leigh's face covered
in a mud mask?  And, what will happen to the mud-allergic Prince Facade?
All these questions will be answered...and soon.

Meanwhile, back at the North Castle, Link, along with Zelda, Balayna,
Flick, Nayru, Ralph, Sprite and Miff were contemplating what to do with
Veran, when Leigh came in.  Link, who looked at her face, (which was
covered with a mud mask) mistook her for Zola. 

Link: So how are we going to stop Veran? 

Flick: In any way possible.  Even if it means ta kill Ambi II, just ta
free her from Veran.

Zelda: Not that simple, Flick.  If you cut Veran, its Ambi II who dies. 

Nayru: Zelda's right.  We'll need Mystery Seeds, a Seed Shooter or a
slingshot, and maybe a Switch Hook.

Ralph: I brought the Switch Hook.  Hopefully, Link still has the other
stuff needed to free our great great great great great granddaughter
from Veran's hold over her.

Link: No worries, Ralph.  I still have the Mystery Seeds and Slingshot
Kylara slipped into my bag.

Flick: That takes the challenge outta it.  I'm gonna force Veran outta
Queen Ambi II in any way possible.

Sprite: You should listen to Link, Flick.  Ambi II is a mother of two
children...a prince and a princess.  If she dies, those kids of hers
will never see her again!

Flick: Yes, they will.  I'll personally send the body ta them, if Ambi
is slain in the process of beatin Veran.

Miff: You...are heartless.

Flick: Heartlessness is in the eye of the beholder.  Those who seem that
way, might have a bigger heart than you realize.  Perhaps..under that
exterior, is the heart of one who's seen too much pain in their
lives...and doesn't want ta open up, fer fear of showin a sign of
weakness, like crying.

Balayna: You are very wise, Flick.  Even the toughest of us have
skeletons in our closets which we don't want people to know about.
(She's about as old as Avanna could be now.  And her eyes...they remind
me of her so much.  But they look so different...so filled with rage,
hate and shame.  Flick...if you truly are Avanna, tell me...what
happened to you?  Where were you these past five years?)  

Flick: Thank you, Nabooru.  (Those eyes...when I look into them...I
think of my mother...but why?  Why does she remind me of my mother?
Regardless, I won't unmask unless it's a final request.  Still...she
DOES look a little bit like her.  Why?)

Leigh: (comes in) Hey, guys.  What's with the heated debate?

Link: (looks at Leigh's face) OH NO!!  It's Zola!  RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!

Leigh, who totally expected something like this, playfully slapped
Link's face.

Leigh: (playfully slaps Link's face) Oh, Link.  You're so silly.
(giggles) It's just me...little old Leigh.

Link: Ouch...Leigh?  That's you?  I could've sworn you were...

Leigh: I know, Link.  You probably mistook me for Zola, on account of
this mud mask.

Link: I guess so. Sorry.  Anyway, where were you?

Leigh: I was freshening up. when I heard the commotion down here.
What's going on?

Link: First off, Veran has possessed Queen Ambi II.

Leigh: Aw, great!  Ganon's trying to sabotage this peace conference,
isn't he?

Zelda: Yeah.  By the way...this is Flick, the Assassin. 

Flick: Pleased ta meet ya...I guess.  (looks away)

Leigh: Likewise...I think.  Anyway, (sees dead boy of Simon) What happo
ened to this guy?

Link: Be lucky you weren't here beforehand.  Flick fought with Simon,
the bravest of Ambi's knights.  Simon lost, and that cost him his life. 

Flick: Look, Link...because he was so brave in facin me, I won't chop
off his head.  That's fer intended targets.  This guy gave his life fer
queen, country and family.  Never let it be said that Flick isn't fair.

Link: Alright....ok.

Leigh: Thanks for letting me know, Link.  Anything else?

Before Link can talk with Leigh about what they should do next, Dark
Leigh spotted her.

Dark Leigh: AHA!  So...there you are!  I thought you'd come, sooner or
later!!

Leigh: Dark Leigh!  I had a feeling you were here!!

Dark Leigh then took a look at her alternate self, and laughed.

Dark Leigh: (laughs out loud at Leigh) Oh MY GOSH!  You look like Koume
and Kotake with that mud mask on! 

That comment enraged Leigh, who was given a cloth to wipe the mud mask
off, from Zelda.  She was ready to make Dark Leigh pay.

Leigh: Why you...THAT'S IT!!  You're going down!!

Zelda: You weren't made at Link, when he mistook you for Zola.  Why are
you mad now?

Leigh: You know why.  If Evil Zelda came and saw YOU with a mud mask on
your face and insulted you, wouldn't you react the same way?

Zelda:  (glares at Dark Leigh, and turns to Leigh) You're right!  Here's
a cloth to wipe the mud mask off.  (hands cloth to her)

Leigh: Thanks, Zelda.  (wipes the mud mask off) Let's go teach her a
lesson!!

As soon as Leigh wiped the mud mask off her face, Evil Zelda had entered
the room, ready to settle the score. 

Evil Zelda: Don't forget about me!!

Zelda: (sees Evil Zelda) EVIL ZELDA!  I see its twins' night, once again
for me and Leigh.  I'm glad you're dressed for the occasion. 

Evil Zelda: Why thank you, Zelda.

Zelda: You're welcome...even though you DO wear a black-colored of copy
what I WEAR whenever we meet, I'll admit that you have good fashion
sense.

Evil Zelda: Do you really mean it?  I have good fashion sense?

Zelda: You sure do. 

Evil Zelda: Thank you.

As this little round of girl talk was coming to a climax, Flick
interrupted the whole thing.  She felt girl talk was for sissys, and
reminded them they were supposed to fight.

Flick: Will ya stop talkin about yer clothes, and start fightin?!  I'm
about ta fall asleep here!  (This girl talk is for sissys!
Zelda...you're starting to disappoint me.)

Zelda: She's right, you know.  Are you ready to fight, Evil Zelda?!

Evil Zelda: I sure am, Zelda.  and this time..I WON'T LOSE!!

Dark Leigh: When I'm through with you, Leigh, you'll be black and blue!!

Leigh: Oh, yeah?!  I'm gonna take you down!!

And so, the fight began.  Back at Death Mountain, Ganon saw the whole
thing with his crystal ball.  He started to laugh and laugh and laugh
some more.

Ganon:  Heh heh heh....Oh, brother!!  Leigh sure did resemble Zola with
that mud mask on!  AH HA HA HA HA!!  Better watch out, Link..you KNOW
what happens next!!

Sure enough, as Leigh and Zelda rumbled with their evil twins, Link
stated his worries to the LAST PERSON who'd care about such
things...Flick.

Link: Oh no...I hope they don't end up where I think they'll end up.

Flick: What are ya talkin about?

Link: If these four fall into a mudhole, somewhere...their clothes will
be covered in mud, andI won't be able to tell which person is which.  In
other words, I won't know who to zap.  If that happens, they'll confuse
me, and I HAVE to give them a kissing contest. 

Flick: And?  What does this have ta do with me?

Link: Nothing, of course...but...I have to tell you right
now...(whispers) Evil Zelda and Dark Leigh ALWAYS want to kiss
me...it'll be the real Zelda and Leigh who might slap me, or something.

Flick, who felt that the story Link just told her was ridiculous, shook
her head, and slashed him...for a third, forth and fifth time.  This
time, she got a comment from a squeamish Prince Facade...who's starting
to get on her nerves.

Flick: (shakes her head) Tell it ta someone who cares, Link!  (slashes
Link on the other arm, and both his legs)

Link: OWTCH!!  I hate it when you do that!!

Prince Facade: Oh, no!  Please don't get any blood on my nice white
clothes! 

Flick: Shut up, ya spoiled brat!  (This guy's a REAL PAIN!!  So help
me...if he makes ONE MORE COMMENT about his clothes, or his being
squeamish at the sight of blood...I'm going to give him what for.)

Zelda and Leigh continued their rumble with Evil Zelda and Dark Leigh.
Nayru was worried, since they were heading for the balcony's
edge...however...Ralph wasn't so worried since he noticed something that
might save them from death...not to mention...get their clothes dirty.

Nayru: (notices Zelda, Evil Zelda, Leigh and Dark Leigh are careening
towards the balcony's edge) Look at those four, Ralph.  They're about to
go off the balcony's edge!  Somebody stop them!!

Ralph: Relax, Nayru.  They'll be okay.  Take a look over there.  (points
to a mud hole, conviently below the balcony) 

Nayru: You're right.  We don't have to worry...but Link does.

Link: I do?  Why do I have to worry?

Nayru: Take a good look at what's below the balcony.

Link: (sees the mudhole) Oh, NO!!  I know where THIS is going!!  (looks
at Prince Facade) Prince Facade, if you want to be a hero, then follow
me!!  (goes down the stairs, and goes through the main castle gates)

Prince Facade: Alright.  I'll finally prove to Zelda I'm worthy of her.
(follows Link)

Link: (looks at Prince Facade, and thinks to himself) That's right,
Prince Spoilsport!  follow me to where Zelda, Leigh and their evil twins
are BOUND to LAND.  You'll change your tune once their clothes are
covered with mud!

Nayru, Balayna, Ralph and Flick, not wanting to miss out, followed Link
and Prince Facade. 

Nayru: Well, shall we join them?

Flick: Sure...why not?  Might as well go with ya.  Veran's otherwise
occupied watching the rumble, at the moment.  I'll get ta attend with
her, in a minute.

Ralph: Ok...then it's settled!  Let's GO!!

Balayna: No way I'm missing out!  Come on!!

As Flick, Nayru and Ralph followed Link and Prince Facade, Veran, who
was in Ambi II's body, was watching the brawl, sure enough.  She too,
saw the mudhole.  She knew what would happen as well.  Of course, since
Miff and Sprite were virtually alone, they decided to wait for Dark
Leigh's barrier over the delegates to dissipate...so they could talk
with Oberon, king of the Fairies....and Sprite's father.

Possessed Ambi II: Oh, my...they're all going to fall into that mudhole.
Why did Ganon send Evil Zelda, anyway?  Unless...(Of course!  He must be
bored, and wants to have a good laugh.  This should be fun to watch.
Heh heh heh heh...ha ha ha ha.)

Miff: (looks around) Looks like everyone went to see Zelda, Leigh and
their bogus selves fall into the mud, huh Sprite?  (Why does the
princess want to do that?  I think Link's being a bad influence...either
that, or she ENJOYS slapping that buffoon during the kissing contests.
YEAH!  That has to be it.)

Sprite: Yeah.  Want to go talk with my dad, after Dark Leigh's sent into
the Evil Jar?

Miff: Sure.  Let's wait outside the barrier until it's gone.

Just then, outside the Castle, Link, along with the others, finally made
it to the mudhole  Prince Facade wanted to know why they were standing
near a mud hole.

Prince Facade: Oh my...WHY are we standing here, near this FILTHY pit of
MUD? 

Link: You'll find out, in 5...4...3...2...1...NOW!!

As Link counted down, Leigh and Zelda noticed the mud hole, and decided
to tackle Dark Leigh and Evil Zelda over the balcony's edge.  They all
fell right into  the path of the mudhole.

Leigh: (notices the mudhole) See what I see, Zelda?

Zelda: Sure do, Leigh.  Are you thinking, what I think we're both
thinking?

Leigh: Yep.  Time for us and our twins to get down and dirty!!  NOW!
(tackles Dark Leigh)

Zelda: Right!  (tackles Evil Zelda)

Evil Zelda and Dark Leigh: Uh oh...(are tackled, and go over the edge)
NNNOOO!!  (notices where they're about to end up) NOT AGAAIIINNN!!

Zelda and Leigh: Oh, YES!  We're all going down...into the mud!!

Sure enough, their landing was softened by their falling into the mud.
Of course, this really disturbed Prince Facade, who got a
bit...distressed.

Prince Facade: Oh, NO!  They all fell into the mud! 

Link: Yeah.  It's a real shame, isn't it?

Zelda and Leigh, who's clothes were completely covered in mud, along
with those of Dark Leigh's and Evil Zelda's, both smirked and asked
Prince Facade if he wanted to come in and get them out.  He refused, of
course...as they thought he would.

Zelda: (smirks) Well?  Aren't you going to get us out?

Leigh: (smirks) Yeah.  Come on into the mud and fish us out...if you're
a real man, that is.

Prince Facade: FORGET IT!  There is NO WAY I am going IN THERE to get
you ladies out.  I'm dreadfully sorry.

Zelda and Leigh: We thought not. 

This got Flick really ticked off.  She then made a mudball and threw it
on the Prince's shirt.  That caused the vain prince to faint.

Flick: That does it!!  (makes a mudball) Here's mud on yer shirt!!
(throws the mudball on Prince Facade's shirt)  Fer a Prince...you're not
too...chivalrous. 

Prince Facade: (sees his shirt covered in mud) NNOOO!  This simply
cannot do!  I think I'm going to faint.  (faints)

Prince Facade's fainting spell got a laugh out of everyone...except for
Flick.  Even Mara Hespera, who was watching, was laughing.

Nayru: Awww...How the mighty have fallen!  HA HA HA HA!!

Ralph: Heh heh.  You're right about that, honey.

Balayna: Down goes the vain Prince. HA HA HA HA!!

Link: Alright, Flick!  You nailed him! (laughs)

Flick: Hmph.  He got what he deserved.

Zelda, Leigh, Evil Zelda and Dark Leigh: (all laugh) And that's the way
the vain prince crumbles!!

Mara: (still watching) AH HA HA HA HA HA HA!!  That's such a riot!  I'll
bet the best is yet to come!  This has been a SWELL peace conference, so
far! 

Mara's mother: Mara, behave yourself.

Mara: Whoops...sorry, mother.  (Oh boy...my mother and father are the
ONLY PEOPLE who I'm POWERLESS against.  Oh well...I hope I stay long
enough to see what the next phase of Ganon's plan is...not to mention
watching Veran awaken Ambi II's sleeping powers and manipulate time!
That alone will make this trip worthwhile.)

Back at the mudhole, Link was unable to figure out who's who...AS USUAL.
He decided to conduct the kissing contest. 

Link: Aw, man...Prince Facade might be down and out...but NOW I DON'T
KNOW WHO to ZAP!!

Leigh: Come on, Link!  Zap her!  That's Dark Leigh!

Dark Leigh: Don't be fooled, Link.  She's the evil one!  I'm Leigh.  I
scared you with my mud mask earlier, didn't I?

Link: Yeah...but Dark Leigh saw Leigh in the mud mask, too...that
doesn't count.

Zelda: What are you waiting for, Hero?!  Attack that witch!

Evil Zelda: Don't pay attention, Link!  Zap her!!  I'm the real Zelda!

Link: Aw, man...this is SO confusing.  Only one thing to do...Kissing
Contest time.

Nayru whispered to Flick, asking if she knew who the real Zelda and
Leigh were.

Nayru: (whispers to Flick) Umm...Flick...do you happen to know which
pair are the real Zelda and Leigh?

Flick: (whispers to Nayru) They're definitely the ones on the right.

Nayru: (whispers to Flick) Should we tell Link?

Flick: (whispers to Nayru) And spoil the surprise?  I don't think so. 

Nayru: (whispers to Flick) You're right.  Let's just watch the whole
thing go down.

Link started off with Evil Zelda.  She gave him a passionate kiss.

Link: (points to Evil Zelda, who's on the left) Alright...you first.

Evil Zelda: I thought you'f NEVER ask.  (gives Link a passionate kiss)
Mmmmm...

Link: Very good.  Now, its your turn.  (looks at Zelda)

As usual, Zelda responded with a slap.

Zelda: (slaps Link) Now is NOT the time for kissing, hero!!

Link: Ouch!  That's the Zelda I know and love.

This got Evil Zelda furious, and it also got her zapped back into the
Evil Jar.

Evil Zelda: I swear...I HATE MUDHOLES!  (lunges at Zelda)

Link: Not so fast!  (zaps Evil Zelda with the Cressword.)

Evil Zelda: Aw fudge...I'LL BE BACK!!  (disappears)

As Evil Zelda vanished, it was Dark Leigh's turned.

Link: Well, It's your turn, Leigh.  (points to Dark Leigh, who's on the
left) Ready?

Dark Leigh: I sure am.  (kisses Link on the lips) Mmmm mmm
mmmmmmm....mmmm,

Link: WOW!  VERY HOT!!  (points to Leigh) Alrightie, it's your turn.

Leigh, who was once again in a playful mood, asked Link to pucker up,
and close his eyes.

Leigh: Pucker your lips, and close your eyes...and I'll give you a big
surprise.

Link: (shrugs) Okay.  I'll do it. (does as Leigh says)

As soon as Link closed his eyes, Leigh made a mudball, and threw it onto
Link's face. 

Leigh: (makes a mudball and throws it at Link's face) You can open them,
now.  (looks at Zelda) Got a mirror?

Zelda: Yeah. (smirks and gives a mirror to Link) Take a good look, Link.

As Link looked into the mirror that Zelda lended him, he was aghast.
Leigh smirked, and said he looks good with a REAL mud mask.

Link: (looks into mirror) OH NO!!  My FACE!  It's all muddy!

Leigh: (laughs) You know, I think you look kind of silly with a REAL mud
mask.  (looks at Zelda) Isn''t that right, Zelda?

Zelda: It sure is, Leigh.

Link: Ha ha.  Very funny, Leigh.  I know you're the real one, now.  Do
you want the pleasure of zapping your evil twin? 

Leigh: Sure thing.

Dark Leigh: Uh oh...

Leigh looked at Dark Leigh, and zapped her with a magic bolt from her
staff.  That blast sent her back into the Evil Jar.

Leigh: See you later, alligator!  (Zaps Dark Leigh)

Dark Leigh: NNOOO!!!  I'll get you yet!!  (disappears)

Flick: Well, I guess that's that.  Can we get Veran now? 

Link: Sure.  We'd better go back to the conference room.

As Dark Leigh appeared in the Evil Jar, Ganon was rolling with laughter.
As soon as  he got his fair share of belly laughs, he commanded Veran to
awaken Ambi II's hidden powers.

Ganon: AH HA HA HA HA HA HEH HEH HEH HEH!!  I knew it would end this
way!!  Now THAT...IS FUNNY!  Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho.  (gets serious)
Now...it's time to initate the final phase of my plan.  (looks into the
Crystal Ball and talks with Veran)  Veran...can you hear me?

Possessed Ambi II: Yes, master.  What is your desire?

Ganon: It is time, Veran.  Awaken Ambi II's sleeping powers and bring
time to a halt.  Everyone except for Link, Zelda, Ralph, Nayru, Nabooru
and Flick will be affected.  I want you to take care of them, as soon as
the work is done!!

Possessed Ambi II: Understood, master.  It will be done.  Over and out.

As the picture of Veran, who was inside Ambi II faded, Ganon looked on
at Flick with his crystal ball, and wondered who she was, and why did
she feel so familar.

Ganon: Rrraarrrg!!  Who are you, Flick?  Why do you seem so familiar to
me?!  I don't know why I thiink I know you, but I shall wait for the
time you unmask!  Then...if you're who I think you are...you will be
exterminated!!

Is Ganon right?  Is Flick the one who he suspects she truly is?  Will
Veran succeed in stopping time?  Can Flick and the others stop the
Sorceress of Shadows?  In fact, will Link stop Flick from killing Ambi
II in the process?  Will the long-lost Avanna be found?  And, is Flick
really Avanna, the one who Nabooru was looking for, all this time?  The
tension has become so thick, you can cut it with a knife.  The time when
Flick will unmask is drawing near. Don't miss the exciting events in the
thrill-packed 5th chapter, "Flick Unmasked!"

 As Ganon commanded Veran to awaken Ambi II's powers, Link, Zelda,
Balayna, Flick, Nayru and Ralph made it back to the conference room.
(Link wiped the mud off of his face, beforehand) The force field had
dissolved, since Dark Leigh was now back in the Evil Jar. King Harkinian
and Queen Seline noticed that Zelda had gotten mud all over her blue
dress. They asked her about what had happened. (Seline had her own
suspicions)

Harkinian: Oh my...Zelda, you are an absolute mess. Your beautiful
outfit is covered in mud.

Zelda: Sorry, daddy. Couldn't help it.

Seline: (smirks) Let me guess...my little girl was fighting with her
evil twin again, and fell into the mud, am I right?

Zelda: You'd win that bet, mom.

Link: Can we worry about outfits LATER? Veran's going to stop time at
ANY MINUTE!!

Zelda: You're right. We have to stop her!!

Seline: I'm coming with you. Veran is a dangerous adversary. Only those
who have some sort of magical power will be protected.

Balayna: Good point, your majesty.  That means, Link, Zelda, Ralph,
Nayru, Flick, you, myself and Leigh will be protected from Veran's
powers.

Link: I guess so.

Flick: Well, what are we waitin for?! Let's get Veran!!

Zelda: Right!

Batayna: Let's do it!

Nayru: We're not going to make it!

Ralph: We have to!!

Link: Come on!!

Leigh: We gotta hurry!!

But before they began pursuit, Queen Alainia of Arcadia asked about her
son, Prince Facade.

Alainia: Wait...before you go...can you tell me what happened to my son,
Leigh?

Leigh: Prince Facade, your son, fainted because Flick threw a ball of
mud at him. He wouldn't fish me or Zelda out, since we fell into the
mud.

Alainia: It figures. I wish he'd overcome that ego problem of his.  He's
always been this way, since he was a boy. Now, go Leigh...and stop
Veran.

Leigh: We will, your majesty. Anything else?

Alainia: Yes. You look pretty filthy. I mean...your torquoise outfit is
completely caked with mud. (laughs) It is a bit funny, though.

Leigh: Thanks, my liege. We'll go get Veran now! Wish us luck!!

Alainia: Good luck...you'll need it.

As Queen Alainia of Arcadia wished her Avatar good luck, Veran had made
it to Link's tower. She was temporarily overcome by the stench of Link's
dirty clothes.

Possessed Ambi II: (looks around, and sees the Triforce of Wisdom)
Ugghh...what a filthy place this is! And this stench...it's so foul! For
Hyrule's greatest hero, he's sure isn't neat. Oh well...no matter. This
is the PERFECT PLACE to gather the dark powers and stop time! Then,
after I take care of those remaining pests, I will give the Triforce of
Wisdom to my master. Ganon will be SO PLEASED!! (holds her hands
high) NOW! Forces of darkness, come to me! I, Veran...Sorceress of
Shadows hereby awaken Ambi II's sleeping powers, so I can stop time
itself!

As Link and the others raced to his room, the effects of Ambi II's newly
awakened powers can be felt in Hyrule. The sun stopped moving toward the
west. King Harkinian and the other delegates were petrified. All people
who weren't competent sorcerers or sorceresses were turned to stone.
Even Mara Hespera's mother was petrified. The evil sorceress felt now
was the time to help her heroine.

Mara: (sees her mother turn to stone) Hmmm. Looks like I won't be under
mom's supervision, for awhile. Thank you, Veran. Now, I can help my
heroine out, in any way possible. (looks at her mom) I'd ask you to come
with me to see me and Veran triumph, but I see you're a little bit
stoned, at the moment. Heh heh heh heh. Sit tight, now. (teleports to
where Veran is)

As Mara teleported to Veran's current location, Oberon, his daughter,
Sprite, and Miff decided to go have some fun at the waterpark until
Veran was stopped.

Oberon: (seeing the mayhem that stopping the flows of time causes) Oh
my...this is going to be one of those days.

Sprite: I'm sorry this turned out this way, daddy.
Oberon: Its alright, dear. Does anybody want to have fun at the
waterpark until time starts moving on again?

Sprite: I do.

Miff: Sure. I'm in.

Oberon: Then let's go.

As the fairies left, Link, Zelda, their allies and Flick finally made it
to Link's room. Zelda made a few comments about Link's room, and why he
left the Triforce of Wisdom unguarded.

Zelda: Well, we're now at the place Veran's holed up in. I can feel it.
There's one thing I'd like to know, though...WHY did she choose to be IN
THERE?! It's a pigsty!

Link: Maybe she's resistant to my usual security system?

Zelda: SECURITY SYSTEM?! You call all that dirty laundry a way to deter
would-be thieves from the TRIFORCE OF WISDOM?!

Link: Yeah...sort of.

Zelda: Well it FAILED, MISERABLY!! Also...WHY did YOU leave the TRIFORCE
OF WISDOM UNGUARDED?!

Link: Well, Exccuuussse me, Princess! How was I to know Ganon was going
to try something at this time?!

Flick, who felt this conversation was going nowhere, opened the door.
Everyone followed.

Flick: Argue all you want, later! Right now, I'm goin in!!

Link: Okay...

Zelda: Right.

As they entered the room, Mara Hespera had just arrived, and was telling
her heroine about how brilliant a move stopping time was. They were busy
talking until Flick gave them yet another one of her cryptic sayings.

Mara: (teleports in) Thank you for stopping time, Veran. That was a
stroke of genius!

Possessed Ambi II: Why thank you, Mara Hespera.

Mara: You are more than welcome, Veran. If it weren't for you, I'd
wouldn't be able to ditch my mom for a while.

Flick: Mother is the name of good in the eyes and hearts of children.
Those who consider their parents as a burden become fruitful, and feel
like they are unloved! Those people grow up to be cruel, and malignant.
Of course, there are those who have good parents, who have been a bad
seed from the start...they grow up to be ruthless, as well. And yet,
there are also those who have been changed forever by a tragic turn of
events that is beyond the child's power. Those few never come back the
way they once were, in those happier times.
Mara: (turns around) What the?! IT'S FLICK!!

Possessed Ambi II: And she's got help! Link, Zelda, Nabooru, Nayru,
Queen Seline, Ralph and Leigh are with her!!

Link: That's right! Now, get out of Ambi II now, before we get mad!

Veran laughed, and taunted them with something she said to Link
II...hundreds of years ago.

Possessed Ambi II: AH HA HA HA HA HA HA! You come despite the fact you
might kill Ambi II as well as me?! Do you not value life? Or are you
mere fools? Regardless, it won't be easy! I'll teach you your place!
I'll not be as kind as before!

Mara: Brilliant choice of words, Veran! That's what you said to Link II,
when you fought him in the Black Tower, isn't it?

Possessed Ambi II: Indeed it is, Mara. Indeed it is. Now let's get
them!!

And so the fight began. Veran teleported from place to place, shooting
beams and causing spiders to drop from the ceiling. Link was freaked
out, at first.

Link: (jumps out of the way) Spiders!! I hate those things! Get them
away from me!!

Flick: Suit yerself. I'm takin Veran down!!

Flick dodged the beams and killed the spiders, which went into the Evil
Jar, since they were akin to the Deelers. She then got close enough for
a clean shot at Veran, who was still in Ambi II's body.

Flick: (dodges the beams, and kills the spiders) There! I'm now all set
to give Veran a taste of her own medicine! (aims her knife) One good
blow in the heart should end it for Veran. Of course, I won't get paid
after that, but I hope the queen understands what I have ta do.

As Flick was about to throw the knife, Mara Hespera uses a restraining
spell, trying to stop the assassin. But, the nimble Flick was able to
break the hold on her and knocks the evil sorceress from Moldera out.

Mara: NO!! (casts a restraining spell on Flick) I won't allow you to
stop my heroine and role model!! You shall not prevail, assassin!!

Flick: (breaks out of Mara's spell) Wrong! It's you who isn't gonna
prevail! (knocks Mara out with the hilt of her knife)

Mara: Uunngghhh!! Veran...I'm sorry. Ooohhh...(is knocked senseless)

Possessed Ambi II: MARA!! NO!! (looks at Flick with anger) Now you've
done it! You'll never get away with this!

Flick: Don't be so sure, Veran! Say good bye!! (prepares to throw her
knife)

But, as Flick was about to throw the knife at Veran and deliver the
final blow both to the Sorceress of Shadows and the queen of Labrynna,
Link lunged at her, and stopped the female assassin from killing Ambi
II. He then used the Slingshot Kylara gave him to fire Mystery Seeds at
Veran, forcing her into the open.

Link: NNNOOOO!!! (lunges at Flick, knocking her down) I won't let you
stop Veran this way! (fires mystery seeds at Veran)

Veran: (forced into the open) How dare you?! I was so close to achieving
victory! I'LL MAKE YOU SUFFER FOR THIS!!

Link: Yeah, right. (looks at Ralph) NOW, Ralph! Fire the Switch
Hook...NOW!!

Ralph: Right!! (fires the Switch Hook)

As Ralph fired the switch hook, Veran was now taken out of Ambi II's
reach. However, an enraged Flick, who felt Link ruined everything,
started to fight him.

Flick: THAT'S IT! I've had it wit you! You've officially gotten in me
way! (lunges at Link, swiping her knife at his chest) Now you'll
pay...with yer life!!

Link, seeing Flick was on the warpath, dodged the knife, and put the
Handy Glove on.

Link: WHOA! (dodges the knife) That does it, Flick!! The kid gloves are
off! And the HANDY GLOVE is ON! (lunges at Flick and throws her onhis
bed)

Link lunged at Flick, and threw her on his bed. She nimbly got up, and
threw her knife at him. He jumped out of the way.

Flick: UNNGGHH!! You're gonna regret this! You RUINED EVERYTHING!!
(throws her knife at Link) Take this!!

Link: Not this time! (jumps out of the way) This time I have a MAGIC
GLOVE, so I'll be STRONG enough to BEAT YOU! (tosses Flick into his
dirty laundry)

Link then grabbed Flick and tossed her into his pile of dirty clothes.
She was offended, big time. She reacted with a kick in the groin. As he
reacted in pain, Flick took this to her advantage, and knocked him into
the floor.

Flick: P-U! (gets up) So...you're usin a magic glove, since ya know
you're no match fer me otherwise! Bad choice of tatics! (kicks Link in
the groin)

Link: UURRGGGHHH!! UUHHNNNN!!! That HURT!!

Flick: Now...ta finish you off! I don't like it when someone gets in me
way!! (knocks Link down onto the floor, and gets ready to kill him)

But, as Flick was about to kill him, Zelda got in the way.

Zelda: (gets in front of Link) NO!! I won't let you do this!!

Flick: Get out of the way, Zelda! He ruined everythin!

Zelda: No...I won't!

Flick: Then you'll be dead, too!!

Zelda: I'd gladly die, rather than watch Link die at your hands!!

Link: Zelda....I don't...want...you to...

Zelda: (whispers to Link) We'll discuss this, and a kiss, later.  You've
done your best against Flick. I'm proud of you.

Link: (whispers to Zelda) Thanks, Zelda. I owe you one.

Flick: Give me ONE GOOD REASON not to kill him ON THE SPOT!

Zelda: Well, while you two were fighting, Veran has gone to the Castle
plaza, and took Mara there, without your notice.

Link & Flick: WHAT?!

Sure enough, both Veran and the unsconsious Mara Hespera were no longer
in Link's room. Seline decided to tend to the recovering Ambi II, while
Link and the others chase the Sorceress of Shadows.

Seline: There will be time for these petty squabbles, later. Right now,
you, Link and my daughter must go with Nayru, Nabooru, Leigh and Ralph
and stop the Sorceress of Shadows. If she's went to the plaza, then she
won't get far. I will stay here and help Ambi II recover. The main
priority is preventing Veran from escaping.

Flick: I guess you're right.

Link: Let's go.

Zelda: Thank you, mother.

Nayru: Let's go get her!

Ralph: I'm with you my love.

Balayna: You going with us, Leigh?

Leigh: Yeah! There's no way I'm missing this for the world!

As the others went to the plaza, Veran placed the knocked-out Mara close
to her mother, who was still petrified. She then thanked her for helping
her as best as she can.

Veran: (places the unconscious Mara Hespera next to her petrified
mother) It's alright, Mara. No one will harm you, here. You'll be safe.
I thank you for your best efforts to help me. (takes off her black
spiked elbow guards with a dark-blue scarf connected to them, and places
them on Mara) These elbow guards are yours, from now on, Mara. It's my
way of showing you how much I appreciate your endavor to help me. Sleep
now, Mara. For when you awaken, you'll know I am proud to have you as my
greatest admirer. Maybe someday, I could even be...your teacher, and
friend.

As Veran finished thanking Mara, she turned to see Flick, Link, Balayna,
Leigh, Zelda, Nayru and Ralph surrounding her.  She was so angry, she
decided to change into her true form.

Flick: Yer not gettin away this time, Veran!

Link: This time, you don't have a body to hide behind!!

Zelda: It's over, Veran!!

Leigh: There's nowhere to run...

Balayna: And nowhere to hide!

Nayru and Ralph: Give up or else!

Veran: Well done! I'm impressed that all of you made it this far.
You've ruined all of my plans. But it isn't over...not by a longshot!
You've seen me like this before, but THIS is my true form. You'll regret
making me show my true might! I'll give you reasons to fear Veran,
Sorceress of Shadows!!

Link: Nayru, what does Veran mean by showing her true might?

Nayru: She's going to transform into a creature with blade-like fairy
wings, claws on the hands and feet, not to mention antennae on her head.
She'll look like a cross between a fairy and a demon.

Link: Oh, great.

As Nayru told Link about Veran's true form, bolts of lightning had
encircled the Sorceress of Shadows, and caused a bright flash of light.
When the light faded, she transformed into the monstrous form Nayru
described.

Veran: You'll pay for this humiliation with your lives!  Now, it's your
turn to taste despair...and the fear of death!!

Link: Not if I have anything to say first!

But as LInk was about to attack, Flick stopped him. She wanted to finish
the job where she left off.

Flick: No...you've done yer part. This is my fight, now, as it should've
been in the first place.

Link: But Flick...I...

Flick: No buts. Stay outta my way this time, alright, Link?!

Link: Alright.

Flick: Good.

And so, Flick's fight with Veran began. Veran started with firing beams
from her mouth, but Flick dodged them all. The Sorceress of Shadows then
fired her circling beams at her foe. The young assassin avoided those,
too.

Veran: Have a blast, Flick!! (fires blue beams of energy from her mouth)

Flick: (dodges the beams) Sorry...not today.

Veran: Alright then...take THIS! (fires her multi-shooting circling
beams)

Flick: (avoids them, too) Ya have ta do better than that!!

Veran: As you wish...(fires a large blue energy ball)

Veran, who's very angry at Flick by now, fires her large blue energy
ball. Flick dodges it, and the ball hits Link instead...turning him into
a 5-year old.

Flick: Too bad! You're not going to hit me with those beams!

Link: AAHHH! ! (is hit by the energy ball, and is now 5 years old)  I'll
get you, you big meanie!

Leigh: AAWWW...how adorable!

Zelda: You're sooo cyuute, Link.

5 year old Link: Who are you cawling cute and adorwable? What's going
on?

Zelda: (smiles smugly) Look in the mirror.

Link looked into the mirror Zelda handed him, earlier. He was shocked to
see himself in the form of a 5 year old.

5 year old Link: WWAAHHH! I'm a baby! I don't wanna be a baby.

Nayru & Balayna: He's SOOO CYUUTE. (both giggle)

Ralph: I guess he is.

As Link was forced to undergo a second childhood, Flick finally used
both daggers on Veran's wings, bringing her down. She felt Veran
deserved a last request.

Flick: I'm afraid you're grounded, Veran! HYAH!! (throws both knives on
Veran, shredding her wings)

Veran: NNOOO!! (falls down onto the ground) UMPH!! (looks up) I
guess...I'm going to be vanquished again, after all...aren't I?

Flick: That's right. But, before I take ya out, and send you back into
the Evil Jar, tell me...what is yer final request?

Veran: I prefer facing my opponents out in the open...if I am to be
destroyed once more...I wish to know who the one taking me down truly
is. Please...take off your mask.

Flick: Very well. Normally, I'd never take this mask off, but since it's
yer final request, I shall do so.

As Flick spoke, she pulled off the feathered hairband which had her hair
tied in a horsetail, and placed it in her pocket, as her hair went down
to her shoulders. She then removed the mask that concealed her face. As
she did, everyone was in awe.

5 year old Link: What the?

Ralph: I don't believe it...

Zelda: She's taking off her mask.

Nayru: Who is she under it?

Leigh: What does she look like?

Balayna: Is she...the one I've been looking for? We'll know soon enough.

As Flick removed her mask, her features were revealed. She was a
beautiful young girl, who had a monstrous scar on her face. It ran
across her face from above her left eyebrow to her right cheek. Her skin
was tanned, like all Gerudo, and had Hylian ears, and a Hylian's type of
nose. From the looks of her hardened features, it was easy to see the
expression of a seasoned Gerudo warrior's face. Everyone can tell that
she was part Gerudo. Her stature, fighting skills, and attitude were
qualities her mask couldn't hide. Looking at everyone, even Veran, she
called herself by her true name.

Flick: I am Avanna...of the Gerudo.

Balayna, Link and Zelda looked in wonder, realizing that Flick was the
person who they were looking for, all along.

5 year old Link: Fwick...you're weally...Avanna?
Zelda: You've been right under our noses, all this time.

Balayna: Why have you been hiding behind that mask? Where have you been,
all this time?

Avanna: Before I answer your questions, I have a job to complete.
(looks at Veran) Adios, Veran. Say hello to Ganon, in the Evil Jar.
(slashes her)

Avanna turned to Veran, and slashed her in the chest. Veran died for a
moment, and then was sent back into the Evil Jar. Ganon, who now knew
who Flick truly was, watched her intently,

Veran: My...my body withers...just as it did when Link II vanquished me
centuries ago...but it doesn't matter. I'll be waiting, Flick...to haunt
you...and the Evil King, Ganon...will have his revenge. Farewell. (dies,
and disappears)

Avanna: And I'll be waiting for him.

Ganon: (watches in his crystal ball, then sees Veran appears in the Evil
Jar) Excellent work, Veran. Though you have failed in destroying Link
and the others, I have to thank you for inadvertantly causing Flick to

Agahnim: (sees Veran faint right next to him) HEY!  Watch where you're
passing out, alright?

Evil Zelda: YEAH! Dark Link and I were fighting, here! That idiot still
hasn't done anything to earn a kiss from ME, yet.

Dark Link: Well Excccuuussse me, Princess! You're the one who's all
covered in mud!

Evil Zelda: (throws some mud on Dark Link)
Now you're covered in mud, too. (smirks) Heh heh heh heh ha ha ha ha ha!

Dark Link: Why I oughta...

Ganon: SHUT UP! I'm trying to listen!! (The LAST THING I need RIGHT NOW
is hearing those two bicker!!)

Evil Zelda: Yes, master.

Dark Link: Sorry, master.

Ganon: That's better. (looks at Avanna) So...after 2 years since your
escape, I've finally found you, Avanna...but how were you able to escape
the Sacred Realm? And how did you survive? The slash across your face
should've killed you...but WHY DIDN'T IT?

As Ganon watched, Link reverted back to normal. The sun was finally able
to set, and all the petrified delegates were returned to normal. But
that was beside the point. As Balayna asked Avanna what happened, the
Hylian/Gerudo girl told her tale.

Balayna: Avanna...I've been searching for you all this time. What
happened to you...and your parents? Why'd you decide to be an assassin?

Avanna: I'll answer you, right now, Nabooru. (looks at Link, Zelda,
Nayru, Leigh, Balayna and Ralph) Five years ago, I was living happily
with my parents. My mother was Navarra, the greatest Gerudo warrior of
this time. My father was Terell...one of Hyrule's best knights.

Zelda: I knew Terell. It was when I was only 13 years old....sometime
before Link even came to Hyrule...before I knew that Queen Seline of
Calatia was truly my mother. Your father was a good man, Avana. He often
expressed how much he loved his wife and daughter many times, to all who
gathered around to listen to the tales of his adventures. He felt that
nothing was more important than family. He was the best of Captain
Krin's knights...and a hero. Then...5 years ago...he disappeared...and
was never to be seen nor heard from again. What happened to him, Avanna?
What happened to him and your mother on that day?

Avanna: I'm getting to that, Zelda. As I stated, my mother, my father
and I lived happily in the town of Nabooru. At times, we visited the
Gerudos' Fortress, so I would know of my mother's side of the family
tree. I even went to North Castle with my father, to know of his side of
the family. We were happy...and we thought it would last. Then, one dark
day, my time with my parents, not to mention my happier days, were about
to end...forever. Ganon, the Prince of Darkness, had came to Nabooru
town, and ravaged it. His forces nearly burnt the town to the ground. My
mother was angered by these wanton acts of destruction, and wanted to
protect the village that was our home..the village that was named after
the Great Nabooru...sage of the Spirit Temple. My father fought by her
side. Afer a long and taxing battle, Ganon defeated them, and captured
all three of us. I was 11 years old, at the time. Though I was by then,
a competent swordsman...I was no match for him.

Balayna: That's horrible. What happened next?

Avanna: The next thing I knew, we were in this strange chamber, called
the Room of Rites. My parents were lying on an altar. There were three
torches. One of them had already lit, and a red flame came from it.

Balayna: The Flame of Destruction. The blue one is the Flame of Sorrow,
and the purple one is the Flame of Despair. They're part of a ceremony
which dates back to the darker times of Gerudo society. That knowledge
should've been lost forever...

Avanna: But apparently, it wasn't. Ganon knew the ceremony well. The
Flame of Sorrow ignited, soon after...because of the sorrow that
resulted in the destruction of my village...and when I realized I would
lose my parents, forever...I fell into despair...thus lighting the third
and final Flame.

Link: I'm almost afraid to ask..but...what happened next, Avanna?

Avanna: Ganon called forth the spirits of Twinrova and Agahnim the Dark
Wizard, from the darkest depths. All three flames became dark blue...and
evil eyes could be seen. Then...my mother and father came to their
senses, just in time to have their bodies sacrificed. They held their
hands and told me that they'll miss me, and bid me farewell. It was as
if we all knew, that in a way, that they, who were my parents were about
to die.  And then...several shadows were cast onto the both of
them...and their bodies were consumed by two flames...a red one...and a
blue one. The flames took on new shapes as I saw the spirits of my
parents leave their bodies. The flames changed into the bodily forms of
Twinrova and Agahnim...and the souls of my parents, who no longer had
bodies of their own...went into the spirit world...and I never saw
them...ever again. (cries)

As Avanna told her story, she began to cry.
Link, trying to sympathize with her, told her she was crying. She denied
it...in her own way.

Link: I...I don't believe it...you're crying.

Avanna: (wipes her tears away) I am not. I just have some dirt in my
eyes, that's all.

Link: Aw, come on, Avanna...admit it. Underneath that tough exterior,
you're just a big softie.

Avanna: Well, how would you like to be a bleeding heart, huh?!

Link: I guess I was wrong. You weren't crying...I goofed.

Avanna: That's more like it.

Balayna: After your parents were sacrificed, what happened to you,
Avanna?

Avanna: After that horrible event took place, I was tortured for 3
years. I even got the scars to show for that long, unending nightmare.
At times, when I tried to escape...I want sent into the dungeon of the
Gargoyle's Domain, in the Sacred Realm. Though that place was an ugly
and twisted structure, the land it was on was beautiful, fertile...the
sky was gold. It brought tears to my eyes. Then one day...something came
over me. I...don't know what happened, but I felt different. My
strength, speed, stamina, senses, and skill increased tenfold. Around
that time, I was once again taken to the Gargoyle's Domain for
attempting yet another escape, but as I was being escorted to the cell
they usually put me in...I overpowered the Goriyas that were taking me
there. I fought my way through Ganon's troops. They seemed to be in
disarray. As if someone was causing Ganon trouble in the Light World.

Link: That was when I came to Hyrule...and...recovered the eight
fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom....and it was the first time I
fought Ganon.

Avanna: No wonder they were so disorganized. Anyway, most of them were
easy to take on...but there was one guy who wore gold armor with blue
tights, and purple gloves, boots and cape...he was hard to beat.

Zelda and Link: THE DARKNUT PRIME!!

Avanna: Yes. He was the one who slashed me in the face. I should've died
right then and there...but for some reason, I didn't. Using my newfound
strength, I threw him onto the other monsters, and found a cave with an
unusual light. I entered it, and when I came out...I was back in Hyrule.
From that day on, I took up the mask, and accent, to hide my shame from
the world. I decided to be a professional assassin, and use my skills
kill those who would do the same unforgivable acts that Ganon did to my
parents, or those who would commit even worse crimes...I would be for
hire, and yet I would keep some sense of honor in what I do. It was on
that day that Flick the Assassin was born. For two years, I haven't
taken off this mask. Nobody ever asked me to take it off, as a last
request...until today.

Zelda: So that's why you wear that mask...Ganon must've caused you a lot
of pain.

Avanna: Yes. He has.

Avanna then looked at Balayna and asked her why she was looking for her.

Avanna: (looks at Balayna) Why have you been looking for me...all this
time?  And why do you remind me of my mother?

Balayna felt it was finally time to shed her guise, and in a orange
flash of light, revealed herself as the Sage of Spirit.

Balayna: Because you're blood of my blood, Avanna. I am the one who your
home village was named after. I am...(changes forms, in a flash of
light) Nabooru...the lone wolf thief of the Gerudo, and the Sage of the
Spirit Temple...I am also your ancestor.

Avanna was in shock to see that Balayna, who was referred to as Nabooru
was THE Nabooru...and was also amazed to know she was her ancestor.

Avanna: It...it can't be....you're THE Nabooru...the Sage of Spirit. I
can't believe it...my mother...looks a lot like you. That means
I'm...your descendant, aren't I?

Nabooru: Yes. Ever since you and your parents had gone missing, I have
been searching for the three of you. I never found you, or your parents,
until recently, when I found the sou of Navarra and Terell in the spirit
world. They gave me a message to give to you, Avanna. But before I give
it to you, I must tell you why you gained those powers.

Avanna: Please...tell me. Why did I get these superhuman powers, and how
did I survive?

Nabooru: From what you've told me, my best guess is that your powers, as
my descendant were awakening, when you were finally able to escape.
Because you are a member of the bloodline of the Seven Sages, like your
mother was, the power of the Sacred Realm prevented you from dying.
Also...I think the cave was one of the hidden pasages out of the Sacred
Realm.  They're so well hidden, not even Ganon could find them.  Heh
heh.  (gets serious again) Anyway, I know that what Ganon did is
horrible, and that it cannot be undone...but we can set this right. You
can avenge the deaths of your mother and father, and turn that mask into
a symbol of honor, instead of a symbol of shame.

Avanna: Thank you, Nabooru.

Nabooru: You're welcome. But, I have one more thing to tell you, Avanna.
There's something you must know about Ganon.

Avanna: What is it? I already know he's an evil being who cares nothing
for those he harms.

Nabooru: Yes...but this is something you don't know...Ganon is in truth
Ganondorf Dragmire...the Gerudo king who shamed all Gerudos by giving
into darkness, and ruled Hyrule for seven years in an alternate era with
an iron fist.

Avanna: NOOO! I can't believe it!! Ganon is a Gerudo...but he's so
ugly...and piglike...

Nabooru: I know that he's changed so much, since the era of the
Imprisoning War...but yes...he is a Gerudo male...and was also the Great
King of Evil.  With his followers, he stole from women and children, and
even killed people!  Nayru and Ralph may not know this, but the Gerudo
race consists only of women. Only one man is born every hundred
years...Even though our laws say that lone male Gerudo must become King
of the Gerudo, I vowed I'd never bow to such an evil man!

Nayru: I never knew...

Ralph: Neither did I.

Nabooru: Well, now you do.  Come on.  Let's prepare for Ganon's arrival.

Nayru and Ralph: Right.

Back at Death Mountain, Ganon was furious to learn the truth of Avanna's
heritage. He was also mad at Nabooru for telling her who he really is.

Ganon: NNOOOO!!! I don't believe it! Avanna is the descendant of
Nabooru, that accursed traitor and Sage! What's worse, that lone wolf
thief has revealed to Avanna my human identity!! NNNNNOOOOOOO!!! I will
have my revenge...NOW!!!  But...I will face her, as the Great King of
Evil...Ganondorf...not as I am now.  Avanna will fall at the hands of a
fellow Gerudo!  I will DESTROY YOU, AVANNA!!

As Ganon swore he'd destroy Avanna, he transformed in a flash of light,
and had become the Great KIng of Evil once more. He then teleported to
the plaza, where Link, Zelda, Nabooru, Avanna, Leigh, Nayru and Ralph
were. When Avanna stopped Veran, they were several miles away from
prying eyes. But now, as the story reaches its climax, will Nabooru be
able to deliver Navarra's message for Avanna? Will The Great Evil King,
Ganondorf destroy the Gerudo/Hylian girl also known as Flick? Or will
Avanna triumph? All this and more will be revealed as the story draws
close to its conclusion.

As Ganondorf, the Evil King teleported to the battlefield where Veran
had met with her latest defeat, Avanna, who is known to others as Flick,
asked Nabooru what the message was.

Avanna: Alright. I thank you for telling me about who Ganon really is,
Great Nabooru. Now please, tell me...what message did my mother and
father tell you to give me?

Nabooru: The message is this..."Avanna, we, your parents are sorry that
this unfortunate turn of events ever took place. Only you can set things
right. Using the powers that you possess, you'll have a great chance of
success. We have been watching over you, and shall continue to do so.
For our sake, and the sake of all warriors, Gerudo, Hylian or
otherwise, you must stop the evil Ganon. Once you do that, you shall
regain your honor. We wish you luck."

Avanna was once again  moved to tears, at hearing the heart-warming
message her parents told Nabooru to give her. This time, Link didn't try
to sympathize with her...which was a good thing, too.

Avanna: (cries again) My parents...they have great faith in me. I
mustn't let them down!

Nabooru: You won't let them down. I know you'll succeed.

Avanna: (looks at Link) Any comments?!

Link: Nope...none whatsoever.

Avanna: Good. Then I won't slash you...this time.

Link: Thanks heaps!!

As Link settled things with Avanna on the crying matter, an image from
the distant past was projected in the sky. It was a moment which lived
in infamy. In it, was the moment when Ganondorf was banished into the
Dark World, and was swearing revenge.

Avanna: (sees something weird in the sky) What is that?

Nabooru: Oh no...not this...anything but this. (hears Ganondorf's voice
trail off)

Nayru: What's going on?

Nabooru: Shhh...listen.

Voice of Ganondorf: YOU...

Ralph: What is that?

Link: I'm afraid I know. LOOK!

Voice of Ganondorf: CURSE YOU...ZELDA! CURSE YOU...SAGES!! CURSE
YOU...LINK!

Zelda: I think...he knows who Avanna is, now.

Avanna was puzzled at what was going on. She wondered what this little
display had to do with her.

Avanna: What's going on? What does this have to do with me?!

Leigh: I'm afraid we'll find out soon enough.

Sure enough, they did find out, as Avanna, along with Link, Zelda,
Leigh, Nayru and Ralph watched as an image of the screaming Ganondorf
appeared, swearing he'd get his revenge.

Ganondorf's image: Someday...when this seal is broken...that is when I
will exterminate your descendants!!

Nabooru, Leigh, Link and Zelda cringed, as they realized what was going
on. As they did, the image of Ganondorf faded, while he completed his
oath of revenge. Avanna thought this had nothing to do with her, but was
proven wrong by her ancestor, Nabooru. This revalation brought about her
old fear of Ganon.

Link: Oh, no...

Nabooru: This is bad.

Leigh: Really bad.

Zelda: Really, REALLY bad.

Ganondorf's image: (fades away) As long as the Triforce of Power is in
my hand...

Avanna: What does this mean to me?! This has nothing to do with me.

Nabooru: Oh, yes it does.

Avanna: What?

Nabooru: You see, Link I, who was the Hero of Time, along with Zelda II,
Impa of the Sheikah, Darunia, the Big Brother of the Gorons, Rauru, the
Sage of Light, Ruto, princess of the Zoras, Saria of the Kokiri and
myself, were able to join forces and banish Ganondorf into the Dark
World. While he was vanishing from Hyrule, he swore he'd exterminate our
descendants. And since you're my descendant...

Avanna: (is afraid) Then he's...coming after me...Oh NO!!!

Ganondorf's voice: Oh, YES!!

Avanna, Nabooru, Link, Zelda, Leigh, Nayru and Ralph looked on as
Ganondorf, the Great King of Evil, teleported into the battlefield. By
now, Link was able to recognize Ganon in his human form.

Link: GANONDORF!! I see you've decided to be human again! It doesn't
matter! I'll stop you!! You won't hurt Avanna! (unsheathes his Cressword
and Shield)

Ganondorf: Stay away, Hero! I am not interested in you, this day. Our
battles will continue another time. But for now...(looks at Avanna) I
will turn my attention to her.

Link: You coward! Come on and face me!

Ganondorf ignored Link's demand, and gave Avanna one chance to bow to
him, the ancient Gerudo King.

Ganondorf: So, Avanna, you're the descendant of Nabooru, eh?

Avanna: Y...y...yes. I am.

Ganondorf: Then, I shall give you one chance to live. I want you to bow
down to me...for I am YOUR KING! For you are one of many proud Gerudo
women, and I am the one who ruled over them!

Avanna, who regained her courage, spit on Ganondorf's face, and told him
he was no longer the king of the Gerudo.

Avanna: (spits on Ganondorf's face) No! You aren't the king of the
Gerudo...not anymore! You ceased being king on the day you first became
a monster! The day you became the creature known as Ganon, was the day
you lost your humanity!

Avanna's response angered Ganondorf, who then resolved to go according
to the laws the Gerudo lived by...and issued the Rite of Challenge.

Ganondorf: You DARE REFUSE ME?! Very well. I shall destroy you!
But...just to be fair, I'll give you a chance to beat me. Hopefully, the
laws of the Gerudo have remained unchanged, since my time.

Avanna: Maybe...what do you have in mind,
Ganondorf?

Ganondorf: I hereby issue the ancient Gerudo RITE OF CHALLENGE!

Nabooru and Avanna knew exactly what he meant.

Avanna: So...you want me to fight you one-on-one....and you shall make
the choice of weapons for both of us...am I right?

Ganondorf: That is correct.

Nabooru: Very good, Ganondorf. You were right in assuming that the
ancient laws of the Gerudo would still endure in this day and age.

Link was very confused, and asked Nabooru what the Rite of Challenge
was.

Link: Uuuhh...Nabooru? What is this Rite of Challenge?

Nabooru: It's an ancient rite that dates back to the erection of the
Spirit Temple and the Desert Colossus...which was in a bygone era When
one makes a challenge, the other person who is being challenged must
accept...in other words...they cannot refuse. Once the challenge is
accepted, the person who made the challenge gets to make the choice of
weapons for both the challenger, and the person who made the challenge.

Link: I understand.

Nabooru: I'm glad you do.

Link: Uhhh...what happens if the challenger
refuses?

Nabooru: They're forced to fight, anyway.

Link: Oh boy...there's so much I still don't know about the Gerudo.

Zelda: You got that right, Link.

Link: Well excccuuuusssse me, Princess!

Nayru: Quiet!

Leigh: Yeah!

Ralph: Avanna's about to make her answer.

As Link realized what the Rite of Challenge was, all eyes looked toward
Avanna...who accepted the challenge.

Ganondorf: Well...what do you say, Avanna? Will you accept my challenge?

Avanna: Yes. I accept your challenge. Name the weapons that will be
used.

Ganondorf: We will use swords. You are not allowed to use your daggers
in this fight. You must fight me using your ancestral weapon.

Avanna: Ancestral Weapon?! Aw great. I can't use my daggers for this.
What a downer.

Nabooru: You'll change your tune, soon enough. CATCH! (gets out a
scimitar and tosses it to Avanna)

Avanna, who was momentarially distressed at the fact she couldn't use
her daggers, suddenly changed her mind, when she caught the scimitar
Nabooru gave her. She recognized it at once. It looked a bit ancient,
rusty, and dull. But, after a few seconds in her hands, it was as good
as new. Avanna then placed her mask safely in her magic pouch.

Avanna: (catches the scimitar) This sword...it's...could this be? Is
this my mother's sword?

Nabooru: That's correct. That sword belonged to your mother. This is a
family heirloom which has been passed down from generation, to
generation. It originally belonged to me. Your mother and father want
you to have it, now.

Avanna: What use will it be against Ganondorf's sword? It's very old.

Nabooru: Not for long.

Avanna: (sees the sword shimmer, and become razor sharp, and shiny) Oh
my goodness...it...it became as good as new.

Ganondorf: That means your powers as Nabooru's descendant have finally
awakened ENTIRELY!! (unsheathes his sword)

Avanna: I guess so. (places her mask in her magic pouch) Shall we?

Ganondorf: Let's.

And with the small talk finally drawing to a close, the battle began.
For about half an hour, Avanna and Ganondorf exchanged blows, and
parried other blows. One of the blows Ganondorf gave Avanna was on her
right leg...which resulted in a brand new scar....this was her second
battle scar ever.

Ganondorf: (slashes Flick's right leg) HA! Looks like you've got a new
battle scar, eh Avanna? This makes your second one, am I correct?

Avanna: That's right, Ganondorf! Only now...my battle scars, not to
mention my mask will no longer symbols of shame! From this day forward,
they are symbols...OF HONOR!! (The scars I got from being tortured don't
count!)

Link watched with awe, and wanted to help. Nabooru dissuaded him.

Link: Aw, man! She's getting creamed! I have to help her!

Nabooru: No, Link! Leave her be! You can't interfere!

Link: Why not?

Nabooru: Because once the challenge has been accepted, there can be no
outside help. Avanna must rely on her own skill.

Link: I get it. Well, you don't have to tell me twice!

Nabooru: I think...I just did.

Link: Whoops!  Sorry, Nabooru.

Nabooru: It's alright.

As Nabooru told Link the reason he can't intervene, Avanna finally gave
Ganondorf the final blow, by slashing his chest. At this time, his red
cape with intricate yellow patterns was torn and tattered...just as it
was when the Hero of Time defeated him. He buckled over and fell on his
knees. His breathing was labored, and his face was revealing the look of
disbelief.

Avanna: Now, this fight is MINE! Take THAT! (slashes Ganondorf in the
chest)

Ganondorf: UUNNNGGHH! (is on his knees) This...can't be happening! Not
this again...(breathing become labored, as he puts his hand on his
chest) The Great Evil King Ganondorf...beaten by this kid?!

Ganondorf then coughed up blood, and outstreched his hand, as if
reaching for something. For the moment, victory seemed to be certain.

Ganondorf: (coughs up blood, and outstreches his hand) Avanna....

Avanna: I may be a kid, to you...but I am the one who has put an end to
your evil.

Ganondorf: You think so...huh?! (goes into the air)

To Avanna's amazement, Ganondorf rose into the air, and was still alive.

Avanna: It can't be! You're still alive...but how?! That slash should've
killed you!

Ganondorf: Yes...it would've killed me...if I wasn't under the
protection of the Triforce of Power!

Avanna: WHAT?!

Ganondorf: You see...the first time I died, was when Link I, the Hero of
Time managed to beat me.  With my last breath, I caused my castle to
collapse. But he and the Princess of Destiny, Zelda II, escaped. Then,
the Triforce of Power gave me the strength to overcome death. It's
ironic that I've been beaten by another seventeen year old. But this
ends NOW!!

As Ganondorf gloated, a wall of fire encircled both himself and
Avanna...keeping them in, and Link and the others out. Link, who saw
this particular wall of fire before, knew what it meant.

Link: (sees a wall of fire arise) Uh oh...I think Ganondorf's about to
throw out the rulebook...

Zelda: I think you're right!

Avanna: What are you doing?!

Ganondorf: All I'm doing is...THIS! (hold his right hand in triumph,
and the symbol of the Triforce of Power appears) Feel the might of the
Triforce of Power! Rrrraaahhh....YYYYEEAGGHHH!! (transforms into OoT
Ganon)

Ganondorf held his hand high, and used the power of his Triforce to
become the behemoth that was his first form as Ganon. Avanna was
momentarilly shocked to see this monstrous form. But then, Link gave her
advice on how to beat him...which was unecessary.

Avanna: Oh...my...word. He's became huge! (is scared to death)

Link: THE TAIL!! Use your sword on his tail! That's his weak spot!!

Avanna: (regains her composure and looks at
Link) Shut up, Link! I already know that!!

Link: You do? But how?

Nabooru: It's required learning for Gerudos to know everything there is
about Hyrule's history. Some people have even said that we have better
scribes than the Hylans...but that's just a popular misconception.

Link: Ah. I see.

Nabooru: You were right about the fact that you have a lot to learn
about the Gerudo.

Link: Yeah. I guess I was. But I also know Ganon's cheated. Someone has
to help Avanna!

Nabooru: Someone WILL help Avanna...but it won't be until Ganon's ready
to recieve the final blow.

Link: You mean...

Nabooru confirmed Link's suspicions and instructed Nayru and Queen Ambi
II, who just arrived, to get ready to get the Hero of Time transported
from the past.

Nabooru: Yep. (looks at Nayru) Nayru...I need you and Queen Ambi II to
do something for me, as soon as Avanna is about to give Ganon the final
blow.

Nayru: Sure thing. What do you want?

Nabooru: Send Link I here, to this spot, as soon as Ganon's down for the
count. That cheating creep threw the rules out the door the moment he
changed...so now...we'll help Avanna get even with him.

Nayru: Right!

Ambi II: (arrives, and had heard Nabooru's plan) I just made it! And
don't worry, Nabooru. I think I can do as you want, easily...with my
granny's help, that is.

Nayru: You called me...granny. (giggles) What would your ancestor say if
she was called granny by Ralph?

Ambi II: She'd say..."How rude! I am still young! Don't call me granny!"
(giggles)

Nayru: Yep. (giggles) You definitely got Ralph's trait of calling your
ancestor granny, when the woman who's your ancestor looks as young and
as beautiful as a forest maiden.

Ralph: (blushes) Ummm....oh boy. (I don't know what's worse...my great
great great great great granddaughter recognizing me on the spot, or
hearing her and Nayru reminesce about what happened when I called Ambi I
granny.)

As Ambi II and Nayru embarrassed Ralph, the battle began anew. Ganon
stomped all over the place, and was swinging his twin swords around.
But, Avanna was able to dodge them easily. She went to his rear end, and
struck his tail with her sword.

Ganon: You won't stop me this time! (slashes at Avanna with his swords)

Avanna: (rolls under him, and sees the tail) You'll have to do better
than that, if you want to beat me, Pig-face! (strikes Ganon's tail)

Ganon: YYEEOOOW!! How DARE YOU call me PIG-FACE?! I HATE THAT NAME!!
(turns to swing his swords again)

As Ganon recovered from the hit, Avanna used the same techniques to
strike at his tail for four more times...soon enough, he fell down, and
was temporarily incapacitated.

Ganon: (falls down to the ground) You will pay for this, Avanna! When I
rise, I will be twice as fast!!

Avanna: It doesn't matter if you're twice as fast, or three times as
fast, Ganon!  You still won't be able to beat me! (strikes his tail
again)

Avanna used her scimitar to strike Ganon's tail once again. This hit
made him get up with a start. This got him even angrier. In a rage, he
tried to slash at Avanna again, but missed once more.

Ganon: OWTCH!! Why I oughta...YOU'RE DEAD!! (slashes at Avanna)

Avanna: (dodges the blow) Now, now...your anger is going to cloud your
mind, and make you a smidge easier to defeat...just like it did with
Onox and Veran. I must admit, however, that fighting you in this form is
providing me with the ultimate challenge!!

Ganon: Why, thank you.

Avanna: Save your thanks! YAH!! (strikes his tail again)

Sure enough, Ganon's speed wasn't enough to save him from Avanna, who
was much faster. She struck at his tail for five consecutive times.
After the fifth blow, he went down once again, and the firewall
collapsed. He tried to get up, but Zelda wouldn't let him.

Ganon: Urrrggghh...(falls down) I'll get you yet...Avanna!!

Zelda: Oh no, you don't! (uses the power of Triforce of Wisdom to pin
him down)

Ganon: Uunngghhh....I can't...move!

Avanna: (sees Zelda pinning him down) If you're helping me...then that
means...

Zelda: I'm afraid so. Ganon broke the rules of the Rite of Challenge by
transforming in the middle of the fight. That means, all bets are
off...FOR HIM!

Avanna: Got it! Do what you have to do!

Zelda: RIGHT! (looks at Nayru and Ambi II) Queen Ambi...Nayru...NOW!!

Nayru & Ambi II: RIGHT! ( both join hands) Hero of Time, we call upon
you from the distant past. Help us gain victory in this latest battle
with your nemesis and ours, Ganon! COME FORTH!!

In a burst of light, Link I came from the past.  He was armed with the
Master Sword and Mirror Shield, and had Navi at his side. He saw
Nabooru, and asked what was going on.

Link: Wha? Where are we, Navi?

Navi: I don't know, but I know this much...Nabooru's over there. Maybe
she knows what's going on.

Link: Right, Navi. (goes to Nabooru) Nabooru...what's going on? The last
thing I remember, Zelda sent me on my way to closing the Door of Time,
and I was going back to my days as a child, and next thing you know,
Navi and I end up here. Why are we here?

Nabooru: My descendant just forced Ganon to the ground. I was
wondering...

Avanna: (completes what Nabooru was saying) Would you join me in sharing
the final blow against this creep?

Ganon: (sees Link I and his eyes go wide) No..no..NOO! Not
that...ANYTHING BUT THAT!!

Link I: (notices Avanna) You must be Nabooru's descendant, right?

Avanna: Yeah. The name's Avanna...you can call me Flick.

Link I: (shrugs, then sees Ganon) Alright, Flick. I would be more than
happy to do a double final blow on Ganon.

Ganon: This can't be happening...(I HATE this part!)

Link I: I'm afraid it is!

Avanna: Sayonara, Ganon!!

And so, with synchronized timing, Link and Avanna gave Ganon three
slashes, and a stab in the mouth in unison. Ganon reeled in pain, but
was able to shrink down into his current day form before disappearing in
the Evil Jar.

Ganon: NNOOOO!! I HATE THIS! (shrinks down into his current form)  You
haven't seen the last of me, Link! I"LL BE BACK!! (disappears)

Link I looked on at Ganon's new form as he disappeared, and asked what
was going on. Link explained as much as he can without revealing who he
was.

Link I: (That's odd.  Why did Ganon change into that form?  And who are
these people?  That's not important, though.  Finding out what happened
here is.)  Can someone please tell me what's going on here?

Link: I'll do my best. Ganon was trying to dismantle a peace conference,
here in the North Castle. We met Avanna, who's parents were sacrificed
by Ganon, in order to bring back Twinrova and Agahnim.

Link I: Twinrova I know, but Agahnim I don't. What happened next?

Link: After Veran was beaten, Ganon, who came here as Ganondorf, invoked
the Gerudo's Rite of Challenge, but broke the rules, as Avanna beat him
the first time.

Link I: I get it. So, this Avanna...who wants me to call her Flick,
who's also Nabooru's descendant, beat Ganon single-handedly?

Nabooru then laughed and slapped Link I on the back. She then asked what
he was going to do next.

Nabooru: Ah ha ha ha ha! You got it, kid! (slaps Link I on the back)

Link I: OOPH! It's you, alright...Nabooru. It's really you.

Nabooru: That's right, kid. You just helped Avanna deliver the final
blow to that disgraceful Gerudo King, Ganon. What do you plan to do,
now?

Link I: I plan to go back to being 10 years old, and I'm going to close
the Door of Time, as Zelda wanted. If she's come back to the castle by
now, I'll tell her about everything that's happened. After that, I'm
going to entrust the Kokiri Emerald to the Knights of Hyrule, and hope
for the best. I don't want the tragic events that occurred in Hyrule to
happen again.

After Link I told Nabooru of what he planned to do next, she told him to
regain his lost time. Realizing that this was what Zelda II would've
wanted, he was moved to tears.

Nabooru: They won't, Link. This I promise. Now, go home, Link...regain
your lost time.

Link I: Home...where I'm supposed to be...the way I'm supposed to be.
(cries)

Nabooru: It's alright...let it out. After all...it isn't as though
you'll never see Zelda again, later in llfe.

Link I: You really mean it, Nabooru?

Nabooru: I sure do. Goodbye, kid...and good luck.

Link: Thanks. I'll see you around.

Navi: Goodbye, everyone.

As Link I, Navi and Nabooru said farewell, Nayru and Ambi II cast a blue
light on the hero and his fairy. The Hero of Time and Navi, knowing what
would happen next, relaxed themselves as they were sent back to their
own time. As Link watched his ancestor disappear into the mists of time,
he wondered if he should've told him who he was.

Link: I wonder...should I have told my ancestor that I'm his descendant?

Nabooru: No. It's better this way.

Leigh: Nabooru's right. From what Saria, my ancestor has told me in a
recent visit, Link I and Zelda II aren't fated to meet you and Zelda
until it's nearly time to move the Master Sword to the pedestal in the
Lost Woods.

Link: I guess you're right.

Zelda: Come on...don't be such a party pooper! We have a peace
conference to attend! (whispers to Link) And...I'm going to give you a
kiss, remember?

Link, remembering Zelda's promise to kiss him later on, was more than
eager to go.

Link: (whispers to Zelda) Thanks! I remember now!  (gets ready to go to
the Castle) ALRIGHT! Let's go! (Alrightie! Smooching time!)

Leigh: After you, Nabooru.

Nabooru: Thanks, Leigh. No way I'm missing out.

Ambi II: I hope the conference isn't over yet.

Ralph: Don't worry. I'm sure it isn't.

Nayru: Let's go.

Avanna: Got it. I have to get paid for a job well done. (gets her mask
out, and puts it and the feathered hairband back on, and uses her fake
accent again) Come on. We have ta go back...right, yer majesty? (looks
at Ambi II)

Ambi II: You're certainly right, Flick. And you'll be paid, all
right...paid in full. Plus..you've earned a little bit e
