Ganon's Tower

Zelda: Ocarina of Time Gameplay Info

More than Four Bottles

Due to a bug in the game, Link can get more than four bottles.  You need at least one bottle before doing this trick.  Find an underground cave with a fish or bug in it, and swipe the bottle at the fish/bug to catch it.  Just before it actually catches the fish/bug, pause the game, and replace the bottle with any other item.  The item you select to replace the bottle on the C-button will turn into a bottle!  Keep in mind that the item you select to replace the bottle, is PERMANENTLY transformed into a bottle, so don't replace any item that you need to finish the game.

Infinite Gold Skulltulas

To get unlimited gold skulltulas, you need to have a Secret Grotto with a gold skulltulla in it when you are a child.  Go to any secret grotto with a gold skulltulla in it. Enter the grotto, and kill the spider but do not get the token. Move close to the warp hole that takes you out of the Grotto. Z-target the token and throw the boomerang at it. Right as you are about to get it, back-flip onto the warp hole. You will be outside the Grotto. If you press start, you will see that the token was added to your score. Then re-enter the Grotto. The spider should still be there. Repeat the trick to get as many gold skulltullas as you need. Please note that this is a difficult trick, and you may need to try it many times to get the timing right

Item Upgrades and Special Items

Bigger Quiver - Play the Archery Game as Adult Link and get a perfect score to obtain this item.

Biggest Quiver - If you score 1500 pts at the Gerudo Horseback Archery Contest yo will get a quiver that holds 50 arrows.

Biggoron's Sword

1. Agree to take care of the Chicken Girl's Pocket Egg. She is the same girl you collected all of the chickens for to get the first bottle.

2. Use the Egg to wake up Talon, then Talk to the Chicken Girl again, and she'll give you Cojiro, the blue chicken.

3. Give Cojiro to the girl's brother in the Lost Woods. He's sitting near a tree stump, and he'll give you a mushroom in return.

4. Take the mushroom to the woman in the Potion shop in Kakariko Village, she'll give you an odd potion in return.

5. Go back to the forest where the Chicken Girl's brother was, and give the girl there the odd potion, and she'll give you the Poacher's Saw.

6. Give the Poacher's Saw to the carpenter near Gerudo Valley, and he'll give you the Broken Goron's Sword.

7. Give the Broken Goron's Sword the Biggoron at the top of Death Mountain (the same place you met the fairy that gives you the spin attack).

8. Biggoron will need eye drops to be able to see while he repairs the sword, so he gives you the Prescription, which you take to King Zora in Zora's Domain.

9. King Zora will give you the Eyeball Frog, the main ingrediant for the eyedrops, since he doesn't have the kind of eyedrops needed.

10. Take the Eyeball Frog to the Professor at Lake Hylia and he'll make the Eyedrops.

11. Take the Eyedrops to Biggoron and he'll give you the claim check, which lets you pick up Biggoron's sword when it is finished (three days). Step 10 and 11 have to be completed in a certain amount of time. Do NOT use a song to warp closer to where you need to go or it will make time run out as soon as you finish warping.

12. Give the claim check to Biggoron three days after giving him the eyedrops (the best thing to do is just wait by him and go do something else for a little while, as long as you're up near him, nothing will attack you, and you don't have to mess with climbing Death Mountain again. He will give you Biggoron's Sword!

The Four Bottles

1. Find the chickens for the woman in Kakakiro Village, and she'll give you a bottle.

2. Win the Cuckoo's game that Talon lets you play, and he gives you a bottle of Lon Lon Milk.

Secrets

Get a cow

After beating Ingo in the race, and escaping from Lon Lon ranch, if you can find Talon and get him to come back to the ranch, Malon will give you the chance to complete her obsitcle course in under 50 seconds. If you do, a cow will be at Link's House. You can play Epona's Song by it for free milk at any time.

Bring signs back to life

If you get angry at a sign and chop it to little teeny bits, try playing Zelda's Lullaby to heal the poor sign right in front of your eyes.

Free Lon Lon Milk

Playing the Epona Song in front of any cow will reward you with free Lon Lon Milk.

Sell Anything In A Bottle

An odd man, always on his knees and seeming to be in a hurry, will buy pretty much anything you own that's in a bottle. Try anything: Blue Fire will give you over a hundred rupees! The man is found in Hyrule City as a child and in Kakariko village as an adult.

Steal the fisherman's hat

Ok, this can be a very tough one, but at the right angle, you can steal the hat right off the fisherman with your fishing rod. Try pulling your lure while it's in the air next to him (pulling back on the controller and pressing A/R) After you've caught it and it's stuck on your rod, you can even throw it in the river and use it as fishing bait. (I doubt it helps any though). ...and by the way, the fisherman is bald!

Cash On The Drawbridge

Climb either of the two chains that hold down the drawbridge during daytime at the Hyrule city entrance. There's money to be found by jumping back down to ground.

Big Fish and Big Fins

Catch any large fish, around 15 or more pounds, and you'll receive the Golden Scales. These scales will give you even longer swimming time underwater, so you won't have to climb back up to the surface every two seconds. You'll only find such big fish in the adult world. To visit the pond in the adult world, you'll have to ride a bean...check the Lake Hylia bean in the bean section for more info.

Fairies from Butterfly's, Eyes, and Holes

Playing the Zelda Lullaby in front of those little grey eye rocks that are everywhere will reap free fairies. Playing the song of storms in front of holes in the ground (where you have already planted a bean) will also reap the same reward. Also, pulling out a deku stick as a child near a butterfly and letting him fall onto it will give you another fairy. Remember to catch these in bottles for later use, and remember that they will revive you automatically if you die!

Where Have All The Cuccoos Gone?

When reaching adulthood in Zelda, you come upon many sad sights as the world has been ravaged by Gannon's evils, but worse of all: The chickens are nearly extinct! Fear not, because one of the chickens in Kakariko is still alive. Once you have your longshot, go up onto the house with the man staring into the sky. Now, look towards the windmill, and you'll notice a little door with a Grey thing in the lower right corner. Aim for the gray thing, and you'll be shot right into the upper area of the windmill. Up there, there's a chicken. Use him to float around on various previously inaccessible houses, or get the heart container near the crazy chicken lady (you can get the container as a child as well.) Remember the chicken will only be there during the daytime...for some reason.

Flying Fishing

Casting for a big oneTo submerge yourself in fishing pond action, don your Hover Boots, then take a baby step onto the shallow end. Instead of sinking, you'll find youself hovering. As you step out, cast your line.

If you've timed your moves correctly, you'll sink slightly just as your line hits the water. Knee-deep in the water, you'll be able to move about the pond while your line is fully cast.

Fishing
If you pull on your Iron Boots and Zora tunic, you'll sink and be able to walk up to the fish you're about to catch. Blub!
