Once upon a time, there existed a man named Shigeru Miyamoto. This man created a great deal of games, and created a game called "The Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time," and it was sold on November 23, 1998. Well, currently, as all of you most-likely know by now, there is another Zelda Game in the works, Majora's Mask. This game was released in Japan on April 27th, 2000, and is to be released about 2 years after Ocarina of Time, which will probably be sometime in November. But will this game be better than Ocarina of Time? Will it prove to be a great work of art, or a bomb? I have pondered this question again and again. There are so many pictures to view, to use to understand what this game will be like. But graphics aren't the only things used to make a game ultimately "good." Making a great game involves personification, and a good plot and theme to the game. Going to another world through a portal accidentally? Mmm, sounds okay, I mean, this type of thing happens in some of my crazy fanfics out there on the web! But the moon crashing toward the Earth? Sorry, buster, it just doesn't happen! In the opening scene, toward the end, Stalkid (the baddie of the game) is shown using a prying stick to push the moon toward the planet. I don't believe this could EVER happen, and the sight of the moon is just, plain scary! Why does the moon have to crash to the Earth? Can't Shigeru think of another creative thing to happen in the game? Afterall, he only came up with most of the good ideas for Ocarina of Time. What next? Let's wait, and expect another editorial if I have more views about this game =) -Zelda31 |
