Update
Zelda 2005 Title and
Logo!
We have the title and logo to Zelda 2005! The game is titled The Legend of
Zelda: Twilight Princess. The logo can be seen below. Expect much
more information in the coming few days as E3 rolls around.

More Revolution Details!
Nintendo released some information about Revolution today. The system will
be really sleek, no thicker than 3 DVD cases stacked on top of each other, and
it will not be much wider than that either. Like PS2, Revolution will be
able to stand vertically or lie horizontally, giving it the ability to fit in a
variety of spaces. The system will connect to the internet for online
multiplayer play via wireless internet and it will be capable of broadband
speeds. Revolution will use regular DVD's this time rather than mini-discs
and it should support double layer DVD's, giving it the capability to store 8.5
GB on a single disc, or roughly 7-8 times the capacity of a single Gamecube
disc. The new controller will be completely wireless, so players can play
from anywhere in the room rather than being confined to the length of the cord.
The system will also be backwards compatible with Gamecube, meaning that it can
play Gamecube games as well as Revolution games.

Update
Nintendo Revolution
Details!
We have some details on Nintendo's upcoming console, code named Revolution.
First off, it will be shown at E3, although everything might not be shown.
We should get the official name of the console, system specifications, and maybe
even what the console looks like. It doesn't look like the controller will
be shown, and it is unknown right now if any games will be shown.
In addition to that, we have learned that the system will more than likely
launch towards the middle of 2006. MoSys, the company making the memory
for Revolution mentioned that they are developing the memory for the successor
to Gamecube which will be released in Mid-2006. The memory being used will
be 1T-SRAM, the same memory used in Gamecube, which worked pretty well.
Right now we don't know how much memory will be included in Revolution, but
hopefully we will get that information next week at E3. Ganon's Tower
will bring you more details as they become available.

NINTENDO, IGN ENTERTAINMENT JOIN FORCES TO CREATE
A NEW PORTABLE GAMING NETWORK
Nintendo DS Service Provides an Easy, Seamless
Transition to Wireless Wi-Fi Gaming
REDMOND, Wash., May 10, 2005 – Nintendo is partnering with IGN
Entertainment to create an innovative network for
portable video games that is not only expansive but also
extremely easy for everyone to use. Set to debut later
this year, the wireless service for Nintendo DS™ will
use IGN's GameSpy Technology to let people around the
world link easily and wirelessly to play games, just as
if they were playing face-to-face.
"With minimum setup procedures, Nintendo DS owners
will be able to enjoy Wi-Fi gaming just as easily as if
they were playing with their friends in the same room,"
explains Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's
executive vice president of sales & marketing. "To
realize this simple and seamless transition to Wi-Fi
gaming, we're partnering with one of the leaders in the
multiplayer gaming world. Accessing the service will
require no added Nintendo subscription charges, whether
users hook up using a home broadband Wi-Fi connection or
access a Wi-Fi hotspot at a coffee shop, library or
elsewhere. It doesn't get any easier than that."
The service will be used by a variety of upcoming
games, including the previously announced Animal
Crossing® DS. Other titles will be revealed in the
coming weeks. When using the service, DS owners can
choose whether they would like to play with friends or
strangers, whether nearby or on the other side of the
world.
The service represents the first foray by IGN's
GameSpy into portable games.
"We're excited to bring the technology that powers
more than 300 PC and console video games to Nintendo's
innovative wireless platform. Now developers can easily
and confidently add advanced matchmaking, community and
other multiplayer services to their Nintendo DS games,"
says Mark Stieglitz, general manager of IGN
Entertainment's GameSpy Technology Group. "We're honored
that Nintendo is choosing IGN's GameSpy as their
middleware partner, and look forward to a very long
relationship."
