Snowhead Temple

1. Room A:  Put on the Goron Mask and push away the stone block, enter the Eastern doorway.

2. Room C:  Put on the Goron Mask and roll across the gap in the bridge.  Watch out for the Frezzards icy breath.  They'll stop you in your tracks if they hit you.  The crate just past the bridge will stop your roll.  Turn back into Link, and hop over the small gap to enter room K.

3. Room K:  Open the chest in the corner of the room to get the map.  Stray Fairy #1 is in the northwest corner of this room.  Use the Fairy's Mask to pick it up.  After doing this, just exit the way you entered.

4. Room C:  Go back across the small gap and exit the door at the west end of the pathway.

5. Room B:  Cross the central section of this room and exit the door on the west.

6. Room E:  Pull back the two stone blocks that are on top of each other.  Behind them is a small room with a treasure chest.  Open it to get a small key.  After doing this, go back and push the two stone blocks into a hole in the western corner of the room.  If done right, a treasure chest will appear on a ledge.  You cannot open it yet, but it will be there later when you return to the room.

7. Room A:  Use the small key to unlock the door in this room, then proceed to room D.

8. Room D:  Defeat the two white Wolfos in this room to get the compass.  Drop a bomb or use the blast mask on the cracked portion of the wall to reveal a stairway.  Stray Fairy #2 can be found in one of the crates just before you start climbing the stairway.  Time your bomb throw perfectly so that it explodes in the air, right next to the crate, then after retrieving the fairy, climb up the stairs.

9. Room N:  Shoot your bow at all the ice crystals hanging from the ceiling until they fall down.  Then jump from platform to platform until you reach the northern ledge and destroy the big snowball as Goron Link to get a small key.  Use the Lens of Truth to see through the snow covered area on the southern wall, Stray Fairy #3 is hidden inside there.  After doing this, use the small key on the locked door.

10. Room M:  Use the lens of truth to find Stray Fairy #4 hiding in a hidden chamber in the ceiling.  Defeat all the white boes in the room, then turn into Goron Link.  Goron pound the yellow button.  This will raise a platform in front of a door, and in the middle of the room.  Put on the Bunny Hood and jump across the room to the other side, then turn back into Goron Link.  Pound the blue button, then quickly make it back to the yellow switch you first hit.  Hit that again as Goron Link, then jump on the blue column in the middle of the room, and back across.  Now enter the door you just make a path to.

11. Room J:  Use the Goron roll to jump the gap to the north side.  Go to the dry area just before the snowy curved area next to the wall there, and roll very slowly across that to the east side of the room.  Do the same thing to reach the door on the west side of the room.

12. Room L:  Defeat the mini boss, Wizzrobe.  He teleports between several squares and shoots icy magic at you.  Shoot arrows back at him.  after a few hits there are several "phantom" Wizzrobes.  Ignore them and look for the solid one who is spinning around, and keep hitting him with arrows.  After he is defeated you will receive the Fire Arrows.

13. Room A:  Exit the door on the west side of the room. 

14. Room D:  Use the Fire Arrows to melt the ice in this room.  Underneath one is a switch you should press.  It will cause a chest to appear which contains Stray Fairy #5.  There is a movable block on the floor you can move close enough to the ledge the chest is on so you can jump to it.  Next, move the block as close to the northern ledge as you can.  Climb the block to the ledge and open the door there.

15. Room E:  Do NOT use the Bunny Hood to do this, jump to the blocks in the middle of the room, then across to the ledge with the chest.  Open it to get Stray Fairy #6.

16. Room A:  Use the Fire Arrows on the ice on the northern doorway and go through it.

17. Room B:  Go to the west side of the room and melt the ice surrounding the door there and enter it.

18. Room F:  Defeat the three Freezards in this room with your Fire Arrows.  This will cause a chest to appear on a ledge at the northeast part of the room.  Open it to get Stray Fairy #7.  Then use the Fire Arrows to light the three torches in the room, which will open the door in front of you.  Make your way to this door and enter it.

19. Room B:  Goron pound the switch in this room.  This will cause the central column to shoot way up to the top of the level.

20. Room F:  Fall off the ledge to the lowest level.

21. Room H:  Exit the southern door.

22. Room G:  Turn into Goron Link and look for a switch in the lava.  Press this switch and open the chest that appears to get Stray Fairy #8.  Exit by taking the stairs at the eastern side of the room.

23. Room B:  Enter the door just to your left.

24. Room C:  Defeat the three Freezards in this room with your Fire Arrows.  Also shoot the ice block on the small ledge on the western side of this room.  Make your way across this small ledge and open the chest to get a small key.  Jump to the bottom of the room and look for the two stray fairies in bubbles.  Shoot them with normal arrows and use the Fairy's Mask to retrieve Stray Fairies #9 and #10.  Climb back up the ladder, and transform into Goron Link and make your way across the broken bridge (rolling, of course) and exit the door to the north.

25. Room K:  Shoot Fire Arrows at the Freezard on the northern ledge and at the ice block on the eye switch.  Make sure you're standing on the platform in the middle of the room when you do this because the eye switch causes it to rise so you can reach the second level of the room.  Jump to the platform and use the lens of truth to look for a hidden stairway of blocks.  Climb these blocks to find Stray Fairy #11, then go out the door on the west in the upper level of the room.

26. Room J:  Goron roll very slowly over the snowy area to reach the stairs.

27. Room O:  Goron roll over the snowy area to reach the locked door on the west side and use a small key.

28. Room P:  Defeat the enemies in the room, then use the Lens of Truth to find a hidden area with Stray Fairy #12 inside.  Use your bow to break the bubble and use the Fairy's Mask to pull it towards you, then use Fire Arrows on the ice blocking the north exit.  Climb the stairs there.

29. Room R:  Defeat the two Dinofos in the room to get Stray Fairies #13 and 14.  Then exit the eastern door.

30. Room Q:  Enter the room at the east side of this chamber.

31. Room S:  Defeat the Wizzrobe using the same strategy you used with the one in step 12.  Then exit the door at the northwest corner of the room.

32. Room Q:  Open the chest to get the Boss Key.  Then destroy the two ice blocks and enter the door on the west side.

33. Room R:  Make your way to the stairs either fighting or avoiding the Dinofos in this room.

34. Room P:  Exit the east door.

35. Room O:  Goron Roll across the snow and go down the stairs to the north.

36. Room J:  Punch the blue parts of the central column as Goron Link., then go back up the stairs.

37. Room O:  Roll to the west side of the chamber and knock out the blue parts of the central column in this room.  Then roll back to the north and walk across the room.  Destroy the giant snowballs and walk up the stairs.

38. Room Q:  To get stray Fairy #15 you must turn into Deku Link and use the Lens of Truth.  Make sure your magic meter is at least halfway full.  Activate the Lens of Truth, then burrow into the flower and glide down the northwest side of the room back down to room J and look for a hidden room inside the wall there.  Fly into the hidden wall and collect the stray fairy there.  Then make your way back to Room Q and Goron Roll across the gap to enter the boss room.  If you need help defeating Goht, click here.
