Ganon's Tower

Zelda III: A Link To The Past

Ball and Chain Trooper - To defeat the ball and chain trooper, use the boomerang, and stun him. Then hit him a few times with your sword, and use the boomerang again. After doing this a few times the ball and chain trooper will be defeated. Another way to defeat him is to use the jars in the room, and throw them at him.

Armos Knights - To defeat the first 5 of the 6 Armos Knights, just shoot each one 3 times with an arrow. After the first 5 Armos Knights are destroyed, the 6th one will turn red, and try to jump on you. You can defeat him with more arrows, or the spin attack with your sword.

Lanmolas - To defeat the Lanmolas, dodge the rocks that fly at you when they come out of the ground, then use a spin attack one each of their heads. After you have defeated 2 of the 3 Lanmolas, the 3rd one will send more rocks flying at you when it comes from the ground. Dodge these, and do a spin attack on his head.

Moldorm - To defeat the Moldorm, use a spin attack on it's tail. The trick is keeping it from pushing you off the ledge. If you fall, the Moldorm recovers all the damage you did to it. In the room below, there are some hearts underneath some jugs, so save them just in case you fall so you can restore some energy.

Agahnim - Agahnim is the final boss before moving on to the Dark World. To defeat him, use the Master Sword (or bug catching net) to reflect his own fireball spells back at him. Occassionally he will shoot a different looking fireball than the one you normally reflect. Just dodge this, because if you try to hit it with your sword, it will damage you. If he goes to the top-center of the screen, move to one of the sides to avoid the lightning attack. After defeating Agahnim, you will be instantly teleported to the Dark World.

Helmasaur King - Helmasaur King is the boss of the Dark Palace. To defeat him, you must first destroy his helmet. In order to do this, you must place a few bombs near it. After the helmet is destroyed, you can defeat Helmasaur King by shooting a few arrows at the exposed green section of his head.

Arrghus - To defeat Arrghus, the boss of Watergate Dungeon, you must use the hookshot which you find in the dungeon to pull the Arrgi, which are swarming around Arrghus away, and then use your sword to kill them. After all the Arrgi are defeated, Arrghus will try to jump and land on your head. Dodge him, and use a spin attack to defeat him.

Mothula - Mothula is the guardian of Skull Palace. To defeat him, use the fire rod on him. It is a good idea to have some magic potion in reserve, but if you do run out of magic, use the Master Sword to defeat Mothula. The main trick is that the floor moves, and tries to run you into spiked traps, while Mothula fires 3 fireballs at you. Just get used to the floor, and dodge the fireballs, then attack.

Blink the Thief - Blind the Thief is the boss of the Gargoyle's Domain. In order to even fight him, you must rescue the girl in the dungeon, and take her to the room with a skull on the map (if you have the compass). You must bomb the room above this in order to make a patch of light appear in the skull room. Once you do this, and take the girl into the room, lead her into the light, and she transforms into Blind the Thief. It is a good idea to have a life potion or fairy in a bottle for this battle. In order to defeat Blind, you must attack with your sword. After a few hits, Blind's head will start flying around the room shooting fireballs at you. Just dodge these, and keep attacking blind. Once 2 heads are flying around the room, the next time you knock Blind down, you will defeat him.

Kholdstare - To defeat Kholdstare, the boss of Ice Island, you must use the Fire Rod. It is a good idea to have at least one magic potion in a bottle. You must dodge ice blocks falling from the ceiling while shooting the fire rod at the block of ice Kholdstare is frozen in to realease him. It will take 8 shots to do this. After Kholdstare is released, he splits into 3 parts. In order to destroy each of the 3 parts, you can either use the Fire Rod, or your sword. Remember to move around during the battle to avoid the ice blocks falling from above.

Vitreous - In order to defeat Vitreous, the guardian of Misery Mire, you must first defeat the small eyes surrounding him that attack you one by one. A few hits from your sword will take care of each of the small eyes. Vitreous will then attack you. When he is near the top of the screen, move to the side to avoid his lightning attack. To defeat him, just attack with your sword. After defeating him, you will find out the location of Princess Zelda (Turtle Rock), and you will be able to purchase the super bomb at the shop in the Dark World that is in the same location as your house in the Light World. Use the super bomb on the cracked wall of the Dark Pyramid, and throw your sword and arrows into the pond for an upgrade from a fairy!

Trinexx - Trinexx is the boss of Turtle Rock. He first appears as 2 heads coming out of a rock. The red head shoots fire at you, and the blue head shoots ice at you. First defeat the blue head by using the fire rod to freeze it (yes, the fire rod), and then attack with your sword. Next, use the ice rod to freeze the fire head, and attack it with your sword. The stone will then explode, and Trinexx will appear as a serphant. There will be one section of him flashing different colors that you should do a spin attack on to defeat him. After Trinexx is defeated, you can break the seal on Ganon's tower!

Agahnim - To defeat the second Agahnim, use the same strategy you used to defeat him the first time. The only difference is that there are 2 semi-transparent Agahnims that are invulnerable. Just avoid them and their attacks, and concentrate on the real Agahnim. One nice thing is that the Agahnim does not use the lightning attack the second time around. After defeating him, Agahnim will transform into Ganon, and you will fly to the Dark Pyramid!

Ganon - To defeat Ganon, use the sword to attack him as much as possible while dodging the fire bats he has around him. After a while, he will jump, and the tiles around the room will fall. Do NOT go near the edge, because if you fall, you have to start the entire battle over. After all the tiles have fallen, Ganon will use his secret technique of darkness. Use the Fire rod on the 2 lamps in the room to make him appear. Hit Ganon with your sword to turn him blue, then shoot a Silver Arrow at him. After 4 silver arrows have struck Ganon, he will be defeated, and you can enter the room at the top of the screen to claim the Triforce!
