Bomb - Bombs can be used to blow holes in walls.

Bow - The Bow and Arrows can be used to attack various enemies.

Magic Rod - With this you can shoot fire that can melt ice, light torches, and attack enemies.

Flippers - Flippers allow Link to swim in deep water.

Flute - Playing this activates warps, and to unlock the final area you will have to play the Ballad of the Wind Fish.

Gold Leaves - You must collect 5 of these to enter a certain area in the game.

Hookshot - Use this to grapple onto almost anything in the game and it pulls you towards it.

Pegasus Boots - Allows Link to run very fast.

Potion - Restores Link's life when he is about to die.

Shell - Collect enough of these and you'll get a sword upgrade.

Shovel - Use this to dig.

Yoshi Doll - The first item in the trading sequence.
