Ganon's Tower

Ancient Ruins

Click the map below to see it in full size.  Help with the dungeon can be found below the map.  The numbers correspond with the numbers on the map.

  1. The turnstile takes you to the east, when you need to be going west.  To do this, circle back around the rooms on the eastern side of the turnstile until you reach the entry room again, then go through the turnstile again.

  2. Use the Magnetic Gloves to move the ball to the switch.  To do this, move it up until it is even with the pit, then stop using the gloves and jump across the pit, then use them again on the ball again to move it across the pit and to the southern part of the room.  Jump across the pit once again, then use the gloves one last time to move it across yet another pit and over to the switch.

  3. Defeat the Ropes in this room, then push the block to open the door.

  4. Use the Magnetic Gloves to put a ball on the switch so that the door stays open.

  5. Once again you will need to go through several rooms to make the turnstile take you to where you want to be.  This time you want to be in the room north of the turnstile.  To get there, enter the turnstile room from C4, then make your way through the rooms to the east of the turnstile, back to the entrance, and enter the turnstile room again, but this time from room B2  This will take you to the room you want to be in.

  6. Again, use the gloves on the ball here to make it land on the switch.

  7. Make your way through this room to C6, grab the key there, then come back and drop down the hole in the southwest corner of the room to enter room C1 again.

  8. In yet another turnstile puzzle, you will need to go through the turnstile, make your way to room C4, go through the turnstile again, repeat the route to C4 you just took, then go through the turnstile one last time.  You should end up on the east side of the turnstile if you did it right.

  9. Use the moving platforms to get the Compass from the chest in the northwest corner of the room.

  10. Hit the switch in the room, then use a Pegasus Seed to quickly maneuver your way to the bridge at the northwest part of the room.  Be fast because the floor crumbles quickly.

  11. Push the trampoline until it is on the purple colored tile, then jump on it.

  12. Grab the Magic Boomerang from the chest in this room, then use it to defeat the Armos statues that will come to life.  After defeating them, go to room G10 and fall down the hole to reach room C3.

  13. Avoid the traps here and make your way to the switch in the southwest corner.

  14. You will need to make the Magic Boomerang curve in mid flight here to hit the crystal switch, which causes a stairway to appear.

  15. Again, you will need to move the Magic Boomerang in mid flight here.  This time it's more challenging since the switch moves around.  With a little patience, you will hit it though.

  16. Ride the platforms and shoot Ember Seeds from your Slingshot to light the torches, causing stairs to appear.

  17. When you touch the giant Rupee in the room, the walls will start to close in on you.  Use a Pegasus Seed to make your way to the door on the southwest part of the room.

  18. Jump on the trampoline here to reach the miniboss room.

  19. Miniboss - Vire - Avoid his attacks, and use spin attacks on him.  After a while, he will turn into two smaller creatures.  Continue using your sword to attack the smaller creatures until they are defeated.

  20. Walk to the right, and do not stop, and you will not be hit by any of the objects in this room.  If you stop, it will be tricky, so keep moving.

  21. Use the Magnetic Gloves to pull the ball so you can crush the Hardhat Beetles in the room.

  22. Hit all of the switches in this room with your Magic Boomerang to open the door.

  23. Move the trampoline to the third square east of the red tiles, then jump on it to reach the boss.
